Far too slow in dealing with withdrawals, initiated on Friday and still waiting for arrival at 11:30 on Monday. Now left £1 in from £85,000 originally deposited. Also better rates around now. Slowest bank I've banked with in years.

Taken a fixed rate and an ISA out with Ford money used them before and never a problem. Easy on line experience.

Like so many others, I am waiting for a withdrawal to materialise in my nominated account. Requested three days ago but still no sign of it! Have raised a complaint but next action will be account closure.

Terrible saving account. No other saving account has the delay in withdrawing money, where most other banks allow same day withdrawals (often seconds/minutes with faster payment 7 days a week) Ford Money takes days. I was tempted by the highest rates at the time (for a week or so), now they are not. Account closed, and yes it took about a week to get my money back out.

**Told by operator I'm welcome to take my money out! That's how much they care about their customers. - Using app I transferred money from Ford to my regular First Direct bank account, only £500 on Friday lunchtime. I checked a couple of times and was saying pending. Thought it might not go until end of business, it showed as gone before end of day banking and checking my bank account still shows nothing not even in incoming transactions. Today is Sunday, long, long hold to speak to someone and still waiting.

Opened fixed-rate a/c. Very efficient process. Got SMS confirmation of deposits within 2 hours. Docs arrived in post in 2 days. Ford gives you 21 days to deposit so you don't have to do it all in one go - unlike some other banks.

After selling a house I opened numerous bank accounts. They were all great, easy to communicate with etc, with the exception of Ford account. After telling them that I had moved house and giving my new address they stopped all transactions for over two months. I nearly lost my house purchase because of them. I sent them all the id they required but it still was not good enough. Eventually they closed my bank account. Each time I phoned, I was given different information regarding the issue. They even once said there were holds on my account because of a complaint. The complaint was mine! not theirs. Go elsewhere.

In this day and age, there is no room for financial institutions who take days to transfer money from savings to one simple nominated account. Apparently the reason that Ford Money take so long (up to 4 days) is that they use Barclays clearing. Too much competition from other banks offering immediate transfers to make this an attractive savings bank.

Trying to open a joint account with most banks is difficult. I filled in a very simple form and the account was ready within a few hours and I could start transferiing money in. I got a text to confirm the money had been recieved and the new balance was immeadiatly visible online. Trying to persuade my old bank to part with the money turned out to be much more of an ordeal. My initial thoughts are that I am very impressed with the speed and ease of opening an account and gettting money into it. The savings rates are also excellent.

When I chose a savings account I think of customer service, high interest, support and Loyalty. At the time that was all being given by Ford Money. The reviews WERE great when searching.
I was that impressed that in May I opened a 2 year fixed saver at 2.33% and a flexi saver at 1.93% with “really good” interest rates.
Everything was good to start with, I was happy, rates WERE good.
A few months down the line…..
WHY did I bother. The 2 year fixed saver is still at 2.33%, flexi rose to 2.47% and if my partner opened a new account today their interest would be DOUBLE mine at 4.7%.
Ford Money have NON EXISTENT customer loyalty.
They draw you in with misleading phrases like “Best Rates Guaranteed” which at the time I HAD but how can they say I have the best rates now as I clearly don’t.
My money is now stuck with them, they’ve lost my trust and my interest means nothing against inflation.
They’ll look after you for a little bit but screw you over when they want new customers to entrap, luring them in with better rates than previous customers.
Personally I’d choose a savers account that provides loyalty to existing customers and doesn’t just feed them the scraps of what the new money brings in.

Application form crashes before I can fill it in. So somebody else got my money :-D

After enrolling on line a short wait for the paperwork to come through with account details resulted in a minimum deposit being paid.

This appeared in my account alarmingly some 2 days later and the subsequent top up appeared the same day preceded by text notification.

A further account was opened and, the same day, a trial deposit appeared in my new account this was again preceded by text. The top up cleared the same day too.

And with time your account will be open and with time your deposit will be in your account and with longer time your withdrawal will be paid out

Slow slow and very slow

They have a good interest rate. Quite easy to navigate the online account. However they are slow when you withdraw your money. Why so slow?

Wow You think 2.74% per monthly interest is great BUT please keep away its more hassle thank you think trying to set this account up .please keep away

Opening an account is difficult.
Transfering money is a total shambles and takes forever. The app appears to be designed by a five year old. I cancelled my account after 1 day.
A truly awful experience and I suggest you avoid even if they do offer attractive rates.

Just opened the account and wanted to do a £1 withdrawal to test that it was going into the right nominated account.
What a performance! I have tried and tried but the withdrawal button is mysteriously “hidden”. Will not be paying cash in again until I am sure that I can withdraw it. Why is it so difficult.

I have been with Ford for a few years now! I was Cautious at first but no need as they are great! Excellent saving rates! Withdrawals into your nominated account. Text u when you make a deposit or withdrawal! Thanks Ford money I am more than happy!

One of the most customer user unfriendly bank I have ever dealt with. I have only had the account a week and encountered several problems already. 2 days for money to transfer money out to nominated bank. 2 days for messages to be answered. Still waiting for a "Welcome Pack" to arrive, been waiting for over a week now! Agents don't seem to understand what is being requested and give differing information. So within a week I have opened the account, deposited a fair amount and have had to withdraw almost all of it as I can't rely on this bank. FAR TOO SLOW.
