General speaking, a good service..

General speaking, Motley Fool Canada Stock Adviser which I subscribe to now as well as Dividend Advisor (which I use to subscribe to and helped me put together my dividend portfolio)has given me many stock ideas to consider and further research; most of which I would have never come up with on my own. As part of the basic paid service, I also enjoy the special thematic reports such as "Motley Fool's Top Ten Convictions Stocks" as well as the Motley Fool Canada Power Hour where the analysts are in the flesh to discuss their opinions on the stocks they recommend. There are also the free Motley Fool Podcasts which are very informative on the present state of the markets, innovative new companies and sound financial management. All in all, the Motley Fool “ecosystem has provided me with a good, investment knowledge education- something which I was clued out about 5 years ago, before I joined as a subscriber.

I am getting out of all three of Motley…

I am getting out of all three of Motley fool services since they did not respond to numerous Emails I sent about one stock and don’t consider the importance of dividend cuts except in the dividend service. They are like Cathy Wood in considering what it might be worth in 5 years and are always talking about 10 baggers. Most other analysts have a more realistic shorter term and longer term perspective. Their entry points are not ideal especially with their 5 year perspective and different analysts have completely different styles but none have adapted to the current market. As Jim Cramer says stocks working in this market are those that make things and make money for shareholders.

MF Canada service

I subscribe to multiple of their services in the US as well as this Canadian service. It has brought forward with a story a number of companies that I have invested in that I might not have found on my own. I do wish the Canadian service website matched the US services. Overall I feel the service is worth the cost. Lots of content to digest and a mostly friendly community.

Overall good service

Overall good service, absolutely trustworthy even if not always correct in the long run.
I would prefer not to have as many additional opportunities for new/overlapping services, all for significant prices.
I strongly suggest that you install a service that permits users to dial up past MF comments on any stock they are interested in, rather than just the stocks that MF features at the current time. Even MF comments that are a few months old would be useful.
Thanks for your efforts. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Stock Advisor team

I have been a member of Motley Fool Stock Advisor for over 5 years. My experience with SA has been positive. I have been buying stocks recommended by SA, mostly BBNs and starter stocks. Although, I have lost on some of the recommendations, I am happy to say that overall, my portfolio has gained a decent percentage of profits in the last few years. Thank you, Stock Advisor team for your write-ups and updates. Your write-ups about the recommendations are very informative and they do include caution about volatile stocks and a note about “boring” (i.e safer?) stocks also. Another plus, in my opinion, is that the membership fees is reasonable.

I have been with Motley Fool and Motley…

I have been with Motley Fool and Motley Fool Canada for 18 plus years. The experience has been good and the principles sound. I've learned alot. I do feel let down by the Blast Off portfolio. The purchase prices were away too high, I should have known better, but so should have Motley Fool. After 3 years loosing on most positions.

Motley provides good subscription services

Motley provides good information and analysis on stocks. They provide timely updates especially when markets change. Very helpful for perspective on the markets. Complaint would be the number of services and options for stock advice. Once you get on the the mail list you are never lonely.

I have been a member of Stock Advisor for 8 years

I have been a member of Stock Advisor and Rule Breakers for many years. Motley Fool provides excellent analysis, market beating returns over the long term but is not good for short term market timing. I have found I need to purchase at least 10 of their recommendations to generate superior returns.

I recommend the fool to friends!…

I have been a subscriber for several years and am very happy with the services that I have subscribed to: stock advisor, hidden gems, and dividends. Good research and long term focus. I frequently recommend Motley Fool to friends who are considering investing in the stock market. You will get sensible advice.

I find the information timely

I find the information timely, the service admits when a recommendation might need to be changed, and I trust the analysis based on the results I’ve seen.
I am a retired stock broker/ financial advisor and feel comfortable with this service provider.
It definitely focuses on the long term investor so short term traders would not be well served.

I am a member of multiple services

I am a member of multiple services. Generally, I find the advice to be objective. It would be useful if a time frame was attached to the recommendations. The high growth and high tech recommendations have been dreadful. The most negative comment is the push to sell new services it's a real turn-off. S.T

I enjoy Stock Advisor

I enjoy Stock Advisor, but I lost $1000 on your high tech bust program Extreme Opportunity. Not impressed, you were very wrong. I am dumping Gems, and anything but the basic Stock Advisor.

3.5 rounded up to 4

I have been a member for six years now. The Motley Fool's mission and advisors serve investors who are patient enough to follow the given advice (usually to buy) no matter a bear or bull market; however, prospective members should keep in mind that it is a stock recommendation service with a 5-year investment time horizon (buying and holding for 5+ years), not a typical investing service suggesting when exactly to buy and sell. The Motley Fool Canada (MFC) services have been designed for a "typical" busy middle-aged investor in Canada who only reads 1-2 buy recs per month, not one who's more active. Furthermore, MFC's online discussion forums are not actively moderated. Instead, upselling services seems to be a key goal. Overall, I would love to give MFC 5 stars because its mission is so worthy, but I can't because it falls short of making Canadian investors significantly smarter, happier or richer. That said, it doesn't make investors dumber, sadder or poorer, either. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Good things come to those who wait.

Now I know the " market" really sucks right now but I have every confidence the stock I have, that were recommended by Motley will make a recovery. Motley recommends solid companies and the stock market tends to rollercoaster. I am patient, I'll wait. Motley has helped me amass wealth! I thank the Lord for them and their advice. I will retire comfortably.

Really love their services (Hidden Gems, Dividend investors and Stock Advisor)...I have good returns on most of their recommandations and very clear expectations of the long term idea behind the recommandations.
I love the occasional 1hour video they post where they answer some questions from the forum's Q&A, and I have always had a great service when I had to deal with the customer Service with them.
