Once I finally actually spoke to a person, Kristi (not sure of spelling) was amazing!! She very clearly outlined what was needed, sent emails as stated to submit documents, and went to bat for me on the appeals process!! Definitely a GREAT employee!!
However, there were way too many steps, emails, hiccups and hang-ups from the initial process to actually getting to a person. I believe your clients / customers would have a much better experience and give 4 or 5 stars ALWAYS, if that part of the process could be simplified!

Getting my refund was very legit. I had to submit the proper paperwork to get the process done and they made it very easy for me. They helped me all the way. I don't know how or why anyone would not get this insurance. I will always use them in my upcoming adventures. I'm glad they were there for me🙏

Bought the insurance protection from them for tickets to an event but ended up getting sick and couldn't make it. They denied my refund since I didnt have a doctor's note. I was at home in bed sick all weekend. I was really looking forward to the event and woukd have gone had I not gotten sick from something that had been going around at my work place. Won't ever purchase coverage from them again! And won't ever recommend them to anyone!

Getting the money was easy. The process to request the refund not so much. I had an accident and submitted the refund request. Additional information was required (note from the doctor) which took me several weeks to obtain as I had to wait for my follow up appointment to get it. I misplaced the email asking for additional information and, contacting you again required calling to a number that only has a recording with instructions. The instructions are to email the required information. The email automatic reply implies that I will receive a call in the next 3 days with a decision. Since I was expecting a call, I was not monitoring my email. The reply came via email with approval and instructions on how to get me money. Maybe yo should update the email that says you will be calling in the next 3 days.

I should’ve read the reviews before opting into their “protection”. Had to cancel attending an event, 3 days before the actual date by the way. Even with the documents that was presented to me from my apartment maintenance service team to fix my heat, they said it didn’t meet their guidelines. Most certainly a scam, listen to the reviews.

I was unable to participate in the Good Life Halfsy in Lincoln. I have completed this race before, and my experience was absolutely amazing. This time was more rough due to policies they have in place for their refund process. If you are medically unable to participate, you need a doctor’s note stating that specifically. Just giving a heads up to anyone to save from frustration. All in all, they handled the situation the best they could, and I still appreciate them working with me for my refund that I bought with registration.

We were upset that I had an injury and had to cancel our reservation. It was simple to request the refund. I was kept informed all throughout the process. This meant a lot. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM “PROTECTION”! I purchased $300 worth of tickets and had a friend from another country not be able to make the trip. I contacted fanscam and they just send pre typed letters giving the runaround. Got screwed over. This company needs to be shut down for fraud and theft!

Unfair Refund Policy and Privacy Concerns with FanShield
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with FanShield. I was unable to attend a sporting event due to unexpected health issues and requested a refund for my parking fee. My request was denied because FanShield required a physician’s certificate as proof.
Requiring individuals to share personal medical documentation for a simple refund request is unreasonable and raises serious privacy concerns. I am not comfortable disclosing sensitive health information that contains personally identifiable data. This kind of requirement feels invasive and may even conflict with privacy standards such as HIPAA, depending on how the information is handled.
FanShield should reconsider its refund verification process to protect customer privacy and provide a fairer, more respectful experience for its users.
Apparently, there is a lack of communication between your departments. I have emails from Fanshield stating that I have to present a written Physician Statement.
