So i always buy stuff from markets place for my vintage shop for the last year or so never had an issue then all of a sudden i have reached my limit to how many sellers i can message lmfao what utter bs this is the last draw back with Facebook,im done with fb i guess will stick to ebay now since it gets delivered and people actually reply as to bs marketplace where 1 out 10 pple will reply so for Facebook to limit how many sellers you can msge just means noone will ever msge back if 1 out 10 sellers reply! Bye Facebook im done

Purchased an item that the seller promised to post, however, the item never existed and he stole the money. Reported it to FB Marketplace, they messaged me saying that the adverts were legitimate. After some digging, I found that the seller was a convicted Shoplifter and conman; FB Marketplace failed to protect honest buyers.

Started telling me I’ve used my allowed messages on market place. How!? I NEED WHEELS TODAY AND I CANT DO ANYTHING AVOUT IT ?!?!?

Trying to sell some children's old clothes a few are makes some are asda and tesco they banned me telling me I'm selling counterfeit items. Can't appeal its ridiculous there just used kids clothes

Absolutely rubbish everything you list they remove wouldn't waste My time tried 4 yrs ago same rubbish and same again today who ever reveiws these listens needs another job as hopeless gumtree are ebay you don't get these problems facebook marketplace is not worth the hassle you list a item and it's removed within minutes rubbish site and full of scammers don't use

Such a con. Everything for sale is sold , most people don't reply . All dealers who put items up to suck you into something else. Absolute joke. Should be ashamed Facebook but your not .

Advertised a rollator and they deleted it as they stated it goes against their rules

Was going to put what I really think about marketplace but I've been beaten by other people , basically I find their rules bizarre , they refused my item saying it was fake when I'd previously bought it from their site !!! , my other item was classed as fake , even though it was bought from a reputable shop , the site has become a bit of a hit and miss , some items get passed and others not

If I could leave no stars I would. Its controlled by AI with absolutely no customer service. I have now had two listings refused as 'counterfeit' when they are not and the options to refute this are bizarre and clearly inoperable. Time to move on to another site.

I'm appalled by Facebook Marketplace's treatment of me. They questioned the authenticity of my genuine Louis Vuitton wallet and Gucci handbag, despite my providing receipts and serial numbers. Meanwhile, obvious counterfeits and replicas remain on the platform. Legitimate businesses and advertisers are allowed to operate, but I'm being harassed. I've reported these issues multiple times, but Facebook failed to take action. I demand consistent enforcement of policies and serious consideration of these reports.

What in Gods name is happening to Facebook Marketplace ? Who is in charge of Policing it ??Surely its against all Laws of this country to permit the sale of dangerous weapons ? Now its easy you can buy a Tazer torch or if preferred a Tazer Ring !!!! and you can go around and shock people at will and steal the victims belongings or if so inclined rape , subdue whoever you like.This is a disgrace , a total disgrace and the person or people who have allowed these adds to be published should be fired ! Isnt the world cruel and violent enough for Gods sake.Worse still of course is that Facebook does not give you the opportunity to report these bloody awful Ads.DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE SOMEONE IS HARMED.

Zero governing bodies unless it's towards the lamest and most useless of discrepancies. Don't post a duplicate add or swear yet scammers, fake adds, buisness posts, animals and everything else under the sun that supposedly "isn't allowed", goes by under the radar every single time.
Facebook in an entering needs to disappear. Facebook marketplace being that they can't even get something so simple as a "quoted" marketplace search correct. Shows they don't even care and deserve 0 percent of the market. Go search something and watch how many irrelevant, useless and completely opposite adds show up....just a disgrace. Go die already Facebook.

Many many people have complained over the scamming that goes on and I totally agree with everything said.. My add here is over the complete failure of Facebook to control it's own finances.. they get paid for business listing.. however any search you do shows multiple results with business being posted free as private listing. and when reported what do Facebook do.... nothing

Ads are deceiving. Several ads are just scams.several ads misrepresented.

I've only had a great experience on this I bought a laptop for 400 that was 900 new and it's worked perfectly for over 3 years

Suddenly blocked on the marketplace via Facebook when they write my ads contain fraud, have nothing to do with fraud and my ads are 110% real. I have tried to get them to talk but without success, definitely a crap site that I hope everyone will boycott.

I’ve used marketplace for buying and selling many times and because of this experience suggest strongly that anyone who is using or intends to use it need to be very careful indeed as my experiences show that it is riddled to destruction by scammers! Use it and you will find out! Facebook Marketplace itself however is no better, which has allowed me to list a genuine pair of unused trainers for weeks yet the last time I relisted them they blocked my listing despite nothing at all having changed! Maybe AI taking control but given both these concerns I would suggest avoiding but if you do use them then be extremely cautious!

Marketplace is a waste of time, I don't sell much on there mainly because on at least three occasions I have had items pulled from sale because FB decided they contravened their rules. One was a history book about WW2 carriers, and I listed a quantity of scrap brass shell cases. The later are used by crafters to make key rings, wall art etc but not sure how but FB obviously thinks they can be recommissioned into live ammo. And don't get me started on the amount of potential scammers after your items. It is non stop once you have listed something they come sniffing around asking you to send and asking for you bank details. I am constantly blocking people who despite me saying collection only don't even live in the country. It is pathetic and generally a complete waste of time. If FB spent more time dealing with the scammers and more time having a human being decide if an item contravened their rules rather than a computer programme it has the potential the be a good selling platform.

I recently made a purchase from a seller on marketplace (a business called Gearcourt).
The seller turned out to be making sales, taking payment but not delivering purchases.
There are many reviews on trustpilot for the company concerned from people in the same position.
I was lucky to get a refund from PayPal.
I reported this scam to Facebook marketplace and after ther so called review they informed me that they were not going to take ant actions and the seller is still scamming people as a result.
I believe that facebook marketplaces inactions will cost people money which they should be held accountable for.
I personally will never buy through marketplace as the admins of the site can not be trusted to protect buyers.
Shame on facebook marketplace.
