Absolute thieves. Even though you have a written agreement on notes when you come to pick up the car, they play the language game Spanish versus English and as you’re talking with them and everybody’s agree to everything they slide you the pad and next, so you know what you signed for double the rate because they sold you the full insurance package when actually you physically agreedon different terms. You end up realizing this when you’re hundreds of miles away a few hours later and you read the digital contract they sent you by email. And on different terms. And what side when you confront the individual who did it to you the manager steps in to protect his boy and they tell you too bad you signed it. Do not recommend from euro car in La Paz Mexico.

I had a very frustrating experience with Europcar in Cancun.
I booked my rental through Priceline and was quoted one price. Before arriving, I even called to confirm the deposit amount. However, when I got to the Europcar counter in Cancun, both the rental price and the deposit were completely different. After some back and forth, they adjusted it and I ended up paying a lower rental rate with a reasonable deposit, which I appreciated—but that was just the beginning.
When I returned the car, they claimed that one of the wheel caps was damaged or missing. This made no sense because when I received the car, two of the caps on the left side were secured with zip ties, while the ones on the right side were not. It was clearly inconsistent from the start. Despite this, they charged me nearly 2000 pesos for a cheap plastic cap that is nowhere near worth that amount.
What upset me the most was the misleading information about the insurance. At pickup, I was told I had full coverage and that I wouldn’t need to worry about anything—whether I hit something or someone hit me, I was supposedly 100% covered. But when the issue came up, they said the insurance only covered certain types of damage and did not include things like tires or related parts. That was never clearly explained.
Overall, the lack of transparency, inconsistent information, and unexpected charges made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend renting from this location unless you are extremely careful and document everything in detail before leaving the lot.

I rented a car from Europcar at Mexicali central. We went San Felipe where we discovered the headlight high beams were inoperable. After letting the office know, Eduardo the service manager drove another car down from Mexicali that night to replace the original car. Above and beyond service! We extended the rental another 5 days there was no problem and we were charged our original rate. I would definitely rent a car again from the car rental agency, very satisfied.

When returning the car they rely on you beeing unnder time pressure to catch your flight, go purposely slow on their processing and find imaginary scratches for which they then ask first for cash payment and then on top to fill in insurance forms. In my opinion it should at least be one or the other. All together a very dissapointing experience specially after having hired Europecar in EU. I shall not use them again and definitely fo not recommend them.

We booked a rental car for the Christmas holiday period from 24 December to 8 January via the Enjoy Travel platform. The reservation was made online on 18 November, with a 30% down payment, as required during the booking process.
Upon arrival at the Europcar Cancun Airport office after a long-haul international flight, we were forced to wait more than two hours, until approximately 11:00 p.m., to be assisted. After this excessive wait, we were in-formed that no vehicle was available, allegedly because the full rental amount had not been paid in advance. This requirement was never clearly communicated during the booking process.
After a lengthy and frustrating discussion, we were left with no choice but to abandon the reservation. As a direct consequence, we were unable to carry out our planned travel itinerary for the entire two-week Christmas holiday.
What made this experience even more unacceptable was the complete lack of customer care. Europcar did not offer any alternative solution, replacement vehicle, or even transportation to our accommodation, which was located far from the airport. The behavior of the staff and the manager, Ulizes Gabriel Jaimes Ramires, was unprofessional, unfriendly, and dismissive. When we expressed our justified frustration, we were effectively pushed out of the rental office, rather than being assisted.
This experience was deeply disappointing and fell far below any reasonable standard of customer service. We strongly advise against renting a car from Europcar Cancun, as the company demonstrated poor communica-tion, lack of accountability, and unacceptable treatment of customers.
By contrast, we rented after new years a vehicle from SIXT, where we experienced excellent service and pro-fessionalism, exactly as one should expect from an international car rental company.
Europcar Cancun has significant room for improvement, and based on our experience, we will never rent from this company again.

Made a reservation online Dec. 21 got there on time when arrived he said they didn't have the vehicle I reserved so that he couldn't do anything else they could only refund me the money is January 9 still no refund
