I had ordered a strawberry milkshake. The taste was extremely artificial, it definitely did not contain any strawberries and I doubt that the white foamy liquid was milk. It also left me with an unpleasant bitter aftertaste as if it contains artificial sweeteners.
It shouldn’t be such bad quality if you want an alternative to coffee.

Place was dirty ..the toilet was something else riddled in urine all down the pedastal ..staff not very friendly ..pulling faces like they couldnt be bothered..coffee machine where we where sat was filthy thick dust ..ordered hot chocolate..weak and tasteless ..bacon sandwich was so dry we left it and pre packed hot tuna baguette/panini tasted terrible wheatly hall road doncaster ...never again ..

Extremely slow service, waited 55 minutes for a breakfast and ended up asking for a refund. Lemon cake was also very stale, would not recommend.

Alton branch and our first visit. We left having agreed no to go back.

Firstly on arrival and in the queue to be served, having paid, totally unclear if we were to wait for the coffee and scone to be given to us, or if we should sit down. Staff seemed more intent on chatting than dealing with customer query. We never did work out the procedure!

Coffee was nothing special, in fact far better tasting served in Alton Waitrose cafe!

Next, where has this stupid craze for toasting a scone come from? Never asked if we wanted it hot. Like putting a slice of fruit cake under the grill!

Lastly, staff could not make it more obvious by clearing our table, that they wanted us to leave, having literally just finished my cup of coffee. Yes, they were a bit busy, but plenty of empty table for customers though.

Would we go back? No.

First time visiting in Southend branch , very slow service , 2 girls were serving , both standing talking at one point , then one of them went to clean the tables while me and my partner were still waiting for our coffee ‘s Sorry won’t be visiting again

Would be nice to be acknowledged at the aqua centre branch. Just left standing. Even though they at the counter. A bit of customer service is needed. In the end I walked off. Just needed to hear. I'll be with you in a minute.
To leave a disabled customer and ignore them is a disgrace

Barista Luke was a lovely server he served. The whipped cream on my milkshake was insane 💅. Luke also gave me a sample of semi skimmed milk! Highly recommend the milkshake and smoothie 🥤😋

i recently visited walton on thames and left the place with full satisfaction, staff were extremely nice and helpful, coffee was organic and tastes really nice. Food presentation looked beautiful and also was really delicious, would definitely recommend this place to families and friends!!

I am so impressed with the service from Esquires. In fact their coffee has always been excellent .. more important is when I had a small glitch with my order it was handled by Debbie in the quickest & most professional manner! That is what I really call excellent service .. the ability to fix a problem quickly & efficiently & still with a smile on her face!

Despite the establishment being reasonably quiet it took 16 minutes from the time we placed the order to being served the two coffees we ordered

Just popped in for a birthday coffee with my husband. Ordered 2 flat whites a cake and a sausage roll. 20 mins later and 3 very confused looking young staff nothing arrived. When I asked I got a very reluctant apology and a sausage roll with no knife or napkin and told they were very busy - didn’t look it. Another 5mins and I coffee arrived (the wrong coffee) .. if we hadn’t paid up front we would have walked out. Don’t think we’ll visit again.

Nice coffee shop with lovely people working there. However, virtually every time we visit they forget to deliver a drink or a cake or serve something hot when it is requested to be cold. A clear process would help to ensure they get it right first time, every time.

Good coffee. Dog friendly. Asked for a soya cappuccino with less milk and was made to order with the words 'less milk' in the foam.

Toilet was very dirty! Used the disabled one instead (marginally better) as felt main toilet was a health hazard. Certainly wont be coming here again. Just cant trust a place with a dirty toilet. There is a cleaning chart on the wall. Not filled in. Took photos and will post elsewhere.

Hanley branch 12/10 very pleased… no one gets eggs Benedict right… Meg those poached eggs amazing …my friend is soooo fussy she had a small breakfast she ate it all.. poached egg (meg again) perfect! Friendly happy staff wonderful… we will be back thank you
