I contacted ergobooks last week to inquire about where the book which I ordered was, they never responded. Today, after 3 weeks the book finally arrived. However, it's not the book which was ordered (an older edition, without the videos necessary for this study was sent). Very disappointed in this company.

Absolute scamming rats. I bought a book off amazon on the 9th of June from them. It is still not here despite numerous messages and back and forth with amazon so now weeks wasted and being left out of pocket all this time amazon have forced a refund from them and are now investigating. Avoid these scamming pigs.

Blatantly lied in their description. out of the 56 chapters promised I got 16, and some doordash vouchers. They charge for returns and are allowed on amazon for some reason.

I ordered a 90 USD book that was never delivered. They then lie about having sent several emails to confirm reception of the item, and also claim that they do not find any records of the missing shipment (about 6 months after the purchase).
Avoid this company!

I agree with the reviews I see here on the dishonesty of this book seller. I ordered a book on dream interpretation after listening to a lecture on YouTube that mentioned the book. The book was $10 when I ordered it. I assume there were quite a few people who listened to the same lecture and then ordered the book because several days later my order was canceled without explanation. I emailed to inquire why and received nonsensical answers like the book that they had in stock didn’t meet their quality standards. I checked the website and saw that the book was on there and now they were charging $25 for it. I emailed them back to let them know that I was fine with whatever the quality was and they should please send me the book. They replied that the book was out of stock. I have requested they honor The purchase that I made in good faith andsend me the book when it comes back in stock. I will Keep an eye on the website and update here if that ever happens.

The book was great and it shipped within 5 days. The book is in excellent condition!

First off, it took almost a month to get it. I ordered it in mid-January 2025 and didn't receive until the end of the second week of February. Second, the book I ordered said it was "Very Good" condition, but the packaging had two packing slips in it that said "Acceptable" (slips dated 5/02/2024 and 5/31/2024). And, I can say, it wasn't! It had handwriting (in pencil and pen) on several pages, as well as two different colors of highlighter! I am SOOO disappointed!!!

Never send the book I ordered. When I asked about it they told me it got lost in the mail. I originally bought the book for €200, now it's up for €1400. Truly insane.

I placed an order with this seller on AbeBooks at the clearly stated price, only to have my order cancelled with the excuse that the item was "unavailable." Shockingly, the same item was then relisted at a significantly higher price. This dishonest practice of cancelling orders and then inflating prices is completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and strongly discourage anyone from dealing with this seller.

I ordered a first edition book. They send me a rebound college library book. They denied my request for a refund/return. The book came from another company. Biblio, the online bookstore forced them to give me a refund. They wanted the book returned but would not send me a prepaid return label. Now, over a month later, they continue to send me harassing emails to return the book. Biblio told them to send me a label but they have not. I will never do business with Ergodebooks or Betterworld Books (their shadow company) again.

DO NOT USE THIS SELLER (thru AbeBooks). I ordered a book, pub date shown on AbeBooks to be recent. The book I actually from Ergodebooks received was 20 years old. I wrote to them twice, with photos, w/details of discrepancies in ISBN shown on AbeBooks vs ISBN of what I received, photos showing actual pub date. Ergodebooks claimed TWICE there was no problem. Avoid this seller.

Ordered a knife set from Walmart’s Marketplace, sold by Ergothebooks. Received a book instead of the knife set.

This company is a complete scam. The book I ordered never arrived, they just kept giving duff excuses saying that it was on its way but running late.
Eventually they said the package may be lost but they are impossible to get hold of to ask for refunds or compensation.
Avoid this company.

Damaged used book, not new.

Dishonest, deceitful, incredibly poor customer service aftersales.
Sent a damaged book described as fine then stalled the refund process as long as they could in the hope I would go away.
Once they had received the tracked return, continued to stall the refund process. Now 2 months later since the purchase and still no refund.
Untrustworthy and would avoid them totally. A real discredit to Texas and the American way.

Ordered from Ergodebooks via AbeBooks... HUGE mistake.

Ordered 2 books, receiving tracking information for one. Thinking they were both in the same shipment, I waited. One book arrived.

I emailed the seller Dec 12th via AbeBooks portal (the only way to contact them, apparently) & was not given tracking info. Emailed again Dec 17th to ask for tracking information on the 2nd book & the response was, "We would like to inform you that your items have been shipped separately. You may receive them in different packages and potentially on different days. Please rest assured that your items are on their way."

Requested tracking information again on Dec 19th. Nothing. Enlisted AbeBooks customer service on Dec 20th to assist with obtaining tracking information from Ergodebooks. Finally received tracking information on the 21st.

The first book received was ordered in error - my mistake. Hubby wanted books 4 & 5, but I mistakenly ordered books 1 & 4. I requested to return the unopened book 1 & was refused because, well, basically they didn't want to... Despite multiple requests to return the book, they refused because apparently the return policy via AbeBooks is very subjective - they can just say no & you have to eat the book.

I will not be using AbeBooks nor Erdogebooks again. I recommend your spend your money elsewhere & save the headache.

I ordered a book on 4/12 which finally turned up on 23/12. You would think that sending from US to UK something more protective than a plastic postal bag would be used. The book was delivered in a really bad state with badly damaged/ripped corners and spine (hardback). I can't say how much was done in transit but I don't think it was sent in the condition advertised either, (luckily I had paid by Paypal and raised a dispute). They sent me so many intimidating emails when I asked for a refund, even with my photo evidence where they would be able to make a claim against couriers. They promised a refund if I removed the dispute on Paypal first which when I researched others had been told not to do. Finally got my refund today and a huge lesson learned.

Ordered a time planner notebook, was shipped in a flexible packaging from US to UK so of course it arrived damaged and unusable - it had been bent in half. ((Notebook was over £20)
Said wouldn’t do replacement and would offer £4 off as “ gesture of good will that would come directly from our profits”

If I returned for a refund it would only be partial as they take 15% off as admin fee

What a joke

I ordered a book through Abebooks and the seller promptly shipped the book. It is exactly as described, and I am very happy with her customer service and her inventory.

I ordered a book through Amazon from this company about reflexology, they stated it was in good condition but when it arrived there were pages missing and the cover was dirty.
False advertising .
I requested to return for a full refund as the book was substandard and told to post at my cost. Still waiting for refund. AVOID this company.
I am constantly being bombarded with telephone calls and messages which are distressing me. Please stop this now and just refund my money
