Customer service sucks!

I ordered two of the same book. One as a gift for my mother and another for myself. At first I only received one of the books. The book received was sealed and in new condition. Upon receiving the book I was excited to see it so I opened it and checked it out. I decided since I opened it that this would be my book. When I didn't didn't receive the second book I reached out to the seller. I left several voicemails and sent multiple emails. No response. Today I finally received the second book and to say it's used is an understatement. The book is not only used it looks like it's been thrown on the ground and hit by a Semi truck. I can not gift this book to my mother! Again, I called the seller and again no response to my email or voicemail. Save you money people and DO NOT BUY from these people. Complete waste of money.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. I purchased a set of Harry potter books that were supposed to come in a chest like box. I received used hardcover books but no chest. The picture of the product showed the books in the chest. I emailed several times with no response. When I finally cussed them out they responded with a bs answer so I emailed them again and they have ignored my emails. I will NOT do business with these frauds again and I encourage anyone else to avoid site like the plague. They are ripping people off with misleading product descriptions/pictures. Totally unhappy.

Scam sellers posting random cheap items do that it marks as delivered, nothing in box to say where it come from by the time you realise you have been scammed you no Linder have the box and the company have you in random conversations, they are absolutely aware of it and do nothing, stay clear from this company

Wish I'd never used them

Bought book through Amazon. After waiting couple of weeks for it when it arrived it was damaged. Probably caused by Customs opening package. It was only when Amazon stepped in that I got my refund for the book. It took another 2 weeks to get compensated for the postage to return it. Again through Amazon. All I ever got from Ergode were standard letters promising action which never happened. I wouldn't ever use them again.

Washington Irving would hate this!

September 18, 2025 I ordered 3 hardcover Washington Irving stories in a protective hard cover. When my order finally arrived the protective outer hardcover was broken, though the three hardcover storybooks were in excellent condition.
However, as I wanted to pass this set down to my grandchildren I expected its illustrated hardcover to be in mint condition as no issues had been mentioned online at the time of ordering.
I requested a replacement from Ergodebooks saying I'd return this set. Initially I received a 5% refund, but no offer of replacement. When I replied I wanted to return this set & have it replaced, they then offered a 20% refund. It became clear that they weren't going to replace the damaged set I purchased. I took photos which I submitted when requesting the replacement, but it didn't seem to matter. They aren't a responsible company, I'm sorry to say. I wish I'd read some online reviews & saved myself the cost and disappointment.

Ergobooks - Scammer hiding behind this name

I purchased a bible from this seller on Amazon in August 2025. I received the bible and it was secondhand. There were a couple of writings on the inside cover. I noticed an odd transaction on my bank account 2 days later from UBER for small amount, i.e under a pound, I have not used UBER for over a year. This amount was in my pending transactions on my bank statement but then disappeared 4 days later. I never heard from the seller regarding payment for the book which would have come out of my account automatically. I am assuming it had something to do with the Uber transaction. It is now over 2 months and it seems that the seller was a scammer as they never contacted me for payment. His loss not mine. The book was for £36.36

First Edition First Print Does not mean Book Club Edition

I bought a book listed as first edition first print. I received a book club edition of the book I paid for with dry hardened stickers that it looked like someone had already tried to remove and failed. I asked to return the book for a refund. I was told it was sold by ISBN and that I received the correct ISBN even after sending pictures of the book with no number line, book club hallmarks and nasty dried stickers. No refund was issued.

Stupid distribution one bulb for 2 lamps

Why would you only provide one bulb . I have been to numerous stores and tried to get another bulb to match the lamp in Australia. Extremy frustrating a waste of money and my time. I recommend to send 2 bulbs one for each lamp . Your customer service sucks.

The Only Place I Could Find the Book

I was unable to find this book anywhere, until I found your site. I ordered the book as a gift, even though I was slightly concerned that it was used. The book arrived quickly. I honestly thought that it was a new book. It is in perfect condition. I am very pleased to know about your site.

Not a real company

Beware, This is not a real company, there is no customer service or anyone working there to reach out to, you will not receive your books and will only waste time getting your bank to reverse the charge. I have been been looking for a hard to find book and in my excitement to see it listed I purchased it without researching this seller at all. They charged my card and I received a “shipped” email almost immediately. The book is very rare yet they still have the same one listed for sale at the same price after I bought it, which would not be likely at all. days went on and no tracking or status ever changed I started reaching out but there is no response on phone, chat, or email, just a loop with the chatbot asking for the order number. There is no book and there never was. Now I am just wasting time working with my bank on the chargeback.
