Deceptive Billing and Advertising
The company reels in users and individuals based on the shiny one dollar three day trial, in very small detailing and in light grey entailing proceeds to charge you a billing of 49.99 a month. Furthermore, continue billing agreement through spam junk mail, so their "agreement"continues until you figure out where the charges are coming from. I would never use such company nor would recommend for such lack of actual information. Previous positive reviews resulted from perhaps a refund they returned to gain greater positive reviews. Yet they are NO longer issuing refunds at any extent! BEWARE

"The checkout page (ID 134) contains contradictory material terms, claiming a monthly rate of $49.99 in the summary box and $99.99 in the consent text. This ambiguity, combined with the lack of clear and conspicuous disclosure of recurring charges (violating ROSCA), means no valid contract was formed. Furthermore, the practice of attempting 'lower temporary promotional' charges without secondary authorization constitutes unauthorized billing under Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) guidelines."
Legal Conflict: In contract law, ambiguous terms are generally interpreted against the drafter . Having two different monthly prices listed on the same checkout page is a "material misrepresentation" of the cost, making the contract legally unenforceable.

Regarding the legal assertions raised, we respectfully disagree with the characterization that the subscription terms were ambiguous or invalid. EpicVIN’s Terms & Conditions specifically address trial subscriptions and state that, unless canceled within the 3-day trial period, "the trial automatically converts into a monthly subscription at the standard rate of $99.99 per month, or as communicated at the time of trial initiation".
This language "as communicated at the time of trial initiation" makes clear that the applicable renewal price is the price disclosed to the customer during the checkout process. Accordingly, we do not agree that the billing was unauthorized or that no valid agreement was formed, as the subscription terms and automatic renewal conditions were presented and accepted at the time of enrollment.

Buying a used car from a private party…
Buying a used car from a private party is difficult. You need as many tools as possible in your arsenal. EpicVin as gives some information not on a CarFax report, no idea for the discrepancy. However I wanted to do a reverse lookup from VIN to License Plate Number which I was led to believe EpicVin did. However it does not and neither do the other major car reporting companies. All in all a good experience and competitive product.

It was useful receiving a report on the car I intend to buy. This report has exposed the irregularities I have found on the vehicle and it will assist me to negotiate a better deal with the owner.
