Booking the car was OK but I did not like the car [Peugeot 2008] and found the infotainment system one of the more difficult ones to use. There was a warning light for tyre pressure on the dash. If... See more

Awful experience. Other drivers damage cars and then your blamed! Save up for a car and avoid these bandits!

Very polite and helpful staff on duty during my early Sunday morning visit to pick up hire van. The price was very clean and at a very good hire price.
Would highly recommend to all when needing a hire vehicle to visit your local Enterprise or Hamilton in my case.
Five Star Service was provided during my visit.
Thank You see you next time

Great prices. Cars are accessible via app (i.e. no need for owners to hand you the key). Lots of cars and van with great coverage of central London

I’ve opened an account with Enterprise Car Club. I’ve been charged with Application Fee and Membership Fee.
I decided to cancel my membership once it was opened, because there are no mini vans with an automatic transmission available at all.
I got a refund for my Membership Fee, but not an Application Fee. Customer service told me that they have processed my application and won’t refund the Application Fee. It feels wrong and unfair to me.
Also worth mentioning that app and website looks and works like we are still in 2010.

Simple and easy to cancel, update, or change the car reservation.
Plenty of helpful resources online for user guides and important information.
However, the car I had for my first enterprise reservation had spongy brakes. Enterprise needs to be more mindful of maintenance of the cars they rent out. For the safety of everyone, not just the driver.
Also, did not find the damage evaluation guide in the car. Did my own checks, but in future Enterprise should consider a damage evaluation being built into the app. Something that assesses damage, not just ticking yes.

Well organised and kept us informed. A range of nearby vehicles available. All straightforward.

Very easy booking process through app, and then finding and unlocking the car was easy. The car was great to drive too. Felt safe and would definitely use this service again.

I had a really disappointing experience with Enterprise Car Club from start to finish.
The first issue was simply getting my account activated. The process wasn’t clear, and instead of being able to use the service straight away, I had to wait up to 48 hours or go in person to verify my identity. For a service that’s supposed to be convenient, this felt like an unnecessary hassle.
The booking experience wasn’t much better. The website showed cars as available, but when I actually tried to book them, they often weren’t available for the time I needed. Instead, I was expected to travel somewhere else to collect a different car. The availability shown on the website isn’t transparent, which makes planning frustrating.
When I finally collected the car, it was dirty and had multiple areas of damage. I ended up spending around an hour filming the condition of the vehicle, reporting existing damage, and trying to work out what I was supposed to do. I felt like I was carrying out an inspection on behalf of the company rather than simply renting a car.
To make things worse, the fuel card was missing. Support told me to use my own bank card and claim the money back later. I don’t see why customers should have to pay out of pocket and deal with reimbursement because of an issue they didn’t cause. I was also still expected to return the car with the required fuel level, despite the missing fuel card.
The whole experience was stressful, time-consuming, and the opposite of the convenience that a car club should offer. Instead of getting in the car and getting on with my day, I spent a significant amount of time dealing with support, documenting damage, and solving problems that should have been resolved before the vehicle was made available.
Overall, this experience has seriously put me off using Enterprise Car Club again.

I like the bility to pickup van at anytime whether day or night without being restricted by the 9-5 routine.

I am yet another customer who has fallen foul to being charged for damage to a car that happened AFTER I had hired it. WARNING to customers - Take timestamped photos before, during and (most importantly) after your hire period, as this seems to be the only way you will be able to prove your innocence. Quite time consuming, considering the convenience these cars are marketed towards.
I genuinely suspect a scam and will be seeking legal/further advice to dispute this ridiculous claim while I keep the charge on hold.

They don’t even deserve one star! Do not hire a car or van from this company. The customer service is shocking and they will steal your money.
They took £1,500 from my credit card for alleged damage that they claimed I caused to a vehicle. I did not cause the damage. The only evidence they relied on was a photo taken 11 days after the hire period had ended. They ignored all of the evidence I provided and refused to supply the information I requested to support their claim.
I have now instructed solicitors to take the case forward.
They will probably post a pointless reply below asking me to DM them. I have already contacted them using the email address they provided in response to the many other one-star reviews on here. They were as unhelpful as the rest of the team.

The absolute worst customer experience you can imagine:
- dirty cheap worn-out cars
- worst availability
- the app straight from 2007
- and even when you think you booked a car - they will send you an email 1h in advance saying f-you, we swapped your car to the one in croydon
- prepare to call them once a week
- prepare for the most American service you can imagine

Be careful they have a habit of letting you book when you turn up there is no vehicle there so all your plans are out of the window

I booked an electric powered van on the enterprise website to collect at the local office near me. The day before hire I got a call to say I had to collect it at an office 45 minutes away from me. No choice was given other than take it or leave it. Then I got another call confirming I was going to go to this other office. I then later received a third call asking me to collect at a different location equally far away and I said no. Then I received another call asking me to download the app because it was a car club car. Not a regular hire car. I was in the middle of packing and found these 4 calls from 4 different people very stressful.
When I went to collect the electric vehicle from this office, I was met by a polite young man who kept telling me he was new as an explanation for why he didn’t know how to do anything and whyit was taking so long to just get the vehicle. Turns out all the information I had put into the system online was not there and I had to give someone else all my details again and wait while he painstakingly entered them into the system again.
When it came time to take the car i couldn’t log on to the car club app. After a lot of wasted time .we found out it was because my email that Ihad dictated to the young man had been wrongly entered into the system. This we found out after I was asked three times in the most patronising manner if I was sure I had checked my emails and my spam mail. Like I was suddenly incapable of reading my own phone. When they discovered it was their mistake I was offered no apology for either the wasted time or the way I had been spoken to.
This was my first time hiring an electric vehicleand I had no idea how to charge it. The young man had no idea either but rather than saying that, he gave me the wrong info on the charging process and I spent an hour that night trying to find a charger that fitted the cable he had given me. An impossible task and unnecessary as I found out when I went back to enterprise that it charges off most public machines using the machines own charger. I had to go back to enterprise to charge it because when I phoned the car club for help that was all the advice they could give me.
And the sorry take does not end there. Worse was yet to come. I had so much trouble trying to charge the van that I took it back on Saturday morning and asked if I could extend my hire for a day but with a non electric van. I was informed that as I was changing vans it was a new hire and as NONE of the Edinburgh branches took a Sunday return, I would have to hire it for two days and not one. AND as it was a weekend, it would cost me £150. This is just theft by another name. I needed the van and paid reluctantly.
So beware of the weekend scam that Enterprise run if you want to extend your hire and make sure you find a staff member who has some level of training and knowledge.

Oh god help you if you need to sort something out. 48 Hour response times for emails as standard... Unable to assist on the phone.
Genuinely feels like they couldn't care less about their customers

Idiot proof instructions would have helped but once I got going it was a great experience & it was a relief to return the car as soon as I finished. It would be fantastic to see one or two bigger family cars.
