I am very disappointed with the quality…
I am very disappointed with the quality of these shoes, which I have found to be unacceptable and not fit for use. Unfortunately, they are not wearable in their current condition. In hindsight, I regret not reviewing the returns policy prior to purchase, and I will certainly take more care to do so in the future. Please read their Returns policy before you buy!
This website is a tissue of lies
This website is a tissue of lies from the start! They are not in York, and the stuff they are selling is from the cheapest Chinese online website being sold on by them at 4x profit. I am still waiting for my parcel, and being fobbed off by tracking information that is obsolete. Don't touch them!!
Absolute scam
Absolute scam, Shein/temu items with luxury boutique prices and tak forever as thy claim they’re being hand made when in reality they’re just coming from china that’s why so long.
Have emailed back and forth a few times but they’re playing the long game taking a fortnight averagely to reply without us actually getting anywhere just asking me to reply with questions regarding my order when all I want to do is return for a refund and they’re hoping I get frustrated with how long they’re taking and give up. The latest email is them now arguing a discrepancy in the email address THEY EMAILED ME FROM and are saying it’s not them. I’m not dropping this and am going to report them to my bank
Fell for this Facebook scam..but…
Fell for this Facebook scam..but checked it first on Google and looked genuine. But..shoes are late arriving , one pair missing and resting to accept returns u less you pay for shipping ..who’s now presumably to China . Offered paltry sum instead. Is this legal?
Edith&Mae York scam
Fell for the social media advert, but seemed genuine as pictures showed a boutique in York. The email up dates about delivery very good. However, when I realised product which was “jumper with cat motif” was being shipped from China, i became suspicious. Product poor quality, like a badly stitched fleece top. I have no intention of bearing the cost of returning to China as shown on there returns link. My fault for being taken in by slick advertising and site. Now see more “companies selling same top, so it is a scam. Will not happen again! Do not use, waste of money
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. I wish to goodness I'd seen all the reviews before. What a complete was of money. I checked out what I believed to be a genuine shop in York.
I had emailed them and asked why goods were coming from China. I asked why it was taking so long. If I could I will take to tradingstandards. However, it's my own stupid fault for being taken in.
Please don't let anyone else get caught up
Edith & Mae York yet another scam co on Instagram…
Thus is yet another scam via Instagram and other pages .. selling shoes and clothes masquerading as a 2 woman small local company selling quality products .. none of which is true .. they all come direct from China and there is automated answers and options for returns .. ie replacement size voucher or ship to China at own cost no liability for lost packages .. simply do not buy of this fake company .. its a scam company ..
This is a con they are not based in…
This is a con they are not based in York they are based in America. Hence why it takes so long for the product to arrive and when it does it so substandard. Do not buy from them. I am embarrassed I was duped.
AVOID, IT'S A SCAM!!!!
Don't trust this company, even if they tell you it's someone with a similar name, that their store is actually based in the UK or the Netherlands or ANYWHERE! Sadly I fell for this scam and now have to try to contact my bank for a refund. I'm furious!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
Absolute rip-off
Absolute rip-off. This jacket is garbage compared to what was advertised. The quality is cheap, flimsy, and nothing like the description on the website. The sizing is a joke. I ordered my normal size and it came in so small it’s completely unwearable.
Customer service was just as bad. After a long wait for a response, I was basically told to “suck it up” because they wouldn’t do anything about it. No return, no exchange, no refund.
Don’t waste your money. This company sells low-quality products and hides behind terrible customer service. I regret this purchase and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. They don’t deserve even 1 star!
This is an online store that appears…
This is an online store that appears legit. In reality they are selling cheap Asian goods that TEMU would be ashamed of at regular prices. Do not get scammed by this site.
I usually research a company to see if…
I usually research a company to see if they are legit, before I buy. This time, I apparently didn't. I fell for the line that the company is run by two women in Vancouver. The sleeves are waaay too short on the jacket I got. I have emailed the co.aony numerous times to try to exchange, and gotten no reply. There is no other way to contact them. Because, apparently, they don't exist. I guess the goods come from China. From what I read.
Complete scam and company doesn’t…
Complete scam and company doesn’t exist! It’s an Al generated boutique claiming to be by two women in Vancouver. The products ship from China! And the quality of the items are absolute garbage! The web page itself does not allow for way to review items or the company. The same products are advertised under different “boutiques” Will the same scam.
100% a SCAM
100% a SCAM - DO NOT BUY
The Federal Trade Commission Act protect consumers from false advertising and making deceptive claims. Edith and Mae falsely warrant on their Website that they are a Vancouver based business, with deceptive images of a brick and mortar storefront and further falsely claim that Edith and Mae has been in business for over 3 decades. There has never been an Edith and Mae in any Vancouver, Canada or United States, and their products and business originate China. There products are absolute trash, Their website domain was registered in September 2025. If you research you will see there are several other online shopping companies all with "mae" in the title and they are all scams.
