I booked a car with NO cancellation…
I booked a car with NO cancellation fees, but when I cancelled I received an e credit from Economy Bookings. That is the only reason I booked again.

Avoid this car rental company at all costs! Upon arrival we were told to pay a $1400 (AUD) “holding fee”, 4 weeks later we have not revived our “holding fee” back or any contact from the company at all.
When returning the car they had confirmed everything was fine and we would receive our holding deposit back, it has now been 4 weeks!!
When we try to contact the company, we cannot get through. When we leave an email, we receive 3 automated replies. You cannot get through to the company to receive your money back!!
All recent reviews show that this company will scam you! DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL SCAM YOU!

A point of context on the deposit itself: the security/holding deposit is held by the rental company directly on their own system, not by EconomyBookings, and the timeframe for its release is typically up to around 28 business days after the rental. So while it's frustratingly slow, you may still be within that window — though four weeks is right at the edge of it, which is why it warrants a proper look.
Your case is under investigation. We'll also note the supplier's conduct — the lack of contact and the delayed deposit return — to our partnership team for review, as that pattern is exactly what warrants scrutiny on their standing.
If the deposit doesn't come through shortly, a chargeback via your bank on that holding charge remains an option in parallel. But the case is being looked into, and we'll be in touch with the outcome. Thank you for your patience while it's worked through.
