I must express my concern and confusion about the conclusion that my certificate may not be genuine. It appears this decision was made without directly contacting Ekiti State University, Nigeria, to verify the authenticity of my documents. I respectfully believe that such verification would be the most appropriate and accurate step, rather than assuming otherwise.
Therefore, I kindly request that Ecctis contact Ekiti State University to confirm both my transcript and certificate. I am confident that the University will be able to validate the authenticity of my academic records.

I am very disappointed with my experience with ECCTIS. The process is extremely slow and frustrating, taking far more time than expected. Despite submitting my request and following all required steps, there has been little to no progress or timely communication.
As an applicant, this delay creates unnecessary stress and difficulty, especially when the verification is needed urgently for academic or professional purposes. I strongly urge ECCTIS to improve their timelines, provide clearer updates, and ensure that applicants are not left waiting without proper information.
At present, the service feels unreasonably delayed and not applicant-friendly.

I have to go my Institute personally and tell them to send the verification they denied on my facing telling we will get so many request day in and day out to send the verification we can't just do that.
I have to make the payment again for verification purpose at the institute i was asked to wait for next 3days.
Now its been almost 7 days now i'm really not sure how long it will take more. I think it's waste of time instead we cant take other options.

I had good experience but I didn't believe the logic behind CEFR rating since I have applied for Master degree I got B2 level and my fried applied for bachelor degree but he got C1 level. Its very rare one who can do bachelor degree in native language and master degree in english language. Also Ecctis didn't ask me anything about my bachelor degree even though I submitted those documents as well since I have submitted application for master degree. I am really got surprised with their english level provided to me.

The application process from beginning to ending was smooth and update about application was provided regularly. However I was expecting a kind of downloadable document or an email sort of after my application was successful but it was just a message on my QLS portal with a UPI. But all in all, I'd recommend their service.

I applied for my ECCTIS last week Thursday and I have to use the live chat today to know if they have contacted my school and the agent that responded to me said No they have not. I asked if it will be done soon he said he can’t give me a response I have 20days and some days are gone yet nothing is done and I need to apply for my visa because I don’t want a visa refusal from ukvi. Please can something be done about it this just frustrating.
I’m just wondering when my school will be contacted is it when the 20days is exhausted.?
Update03/09/2025: it’s very unfair that ECCTIS sent a mail to my school on 28th I know how I have tried to follow up for my school to respond. I was able to get my school and they said they did not receive any mail that it’s only the school Registrar that can respond for my verification I called ECCTIC the person that picked said they cannot resend the mail to the school once the first one did not bounce back.
So what’s my faith because my school said they should send it to the Registrar only that office can verify it. Please I need help:

Thank you for your reply I just contacted my school now the Registrar’s office is insisting they did not receive any mail from ECCTIS that it should be resend . Please can ECCTIS resend the mail to Registrars office please I’m already frustrated my visa time is going.
I received this email from my school saying
We have checked from July to August 30 2025
They sent two mails on 27 August 2025
That’s the last correspondence and non is for you.
Even with the payment we cannot reply without the verification request
We have also gone through spam mails
Let them know to resend it to the registrar’s email address
Update (11/09/2025): i just want to say thank you to ECCTIS for responding immediately to the complains of my university not getting the Email and providing solutions immediately. It was not easy, the stress is much.
Just this evening I received an Email from my university indicating that they have responded to ECCTIS.
I was happy and relieved a little bit.
I will be waiting to hear from ECCTIS soon because I don’t have much time again I need to apply for my COS.

They simply take advantage of people who are using this service because they have no other choice. I am not British, but grew up in a country where English is the lingua franca, and English is my first language. I went to an English-medium primary school, secondary school, and university. I submitted my university degree for their English language requirement verification and they refused to process my application or provide a refund, because a few modules were on French language and literature (despite the fact that at least 70% of my degree were NOT modules in any language apart from English, and the fact that both my transcript and Medium of Instruction Letter from my university state that my degree was taught in the medium of English). Any reasonable person would assume that this degree would be considered appropriate to provide as proof of English at a university level. When I called to complain and appeal the decision, I was told to submit my complaint via the online portal- which I did- and that I would get a response within 5 days. 1 week later, no response. I call again (please note that there is a wait time of around 30 minutes each time) only to be informed that this needed to be "logged as a complaint" by the call handler. When I asked why this hadn't been done already, he said he needed to do it while he was on the call with me, which of course he hadn't told me before he ended the call. His smug tone convince me that he had arranged this deliberately to delay the process as a petty means of "getting even" by frustrating me further. I am disappointed and disgusted with this service, and feel that they act exploitatively and in bad faith.
UPDATE:
After reading the reponse from Ecctis, I'm honestly shocked at the lack of accountability.
Firstly, regarding your staff- if you listened to the call recordings then you will have to admit that the staff member in question, Rowan (unsure of spelling), did NOT inform me during my first call that I needed to stay on the call while submitting my complaint in order for them to log my complaint then. This ommission caused an unnecessary delay in responding to and dealing with my complaint.
Secondly, while English may not be a majority language in my country as a sole native language, the majority of the population are bilingual at least and speak English as a native, as evidenced by the fact that the vast majority of schools and universities use English as the medium of instruction. The definition of "Medium of Instruction" that you are using as applied to university qualifications is incredibly counter-intuitive, and therefore the criteria that "any courses that include any language other than English cannot be accepted" should be explicitly stated. As I mentioned in my complaint, my university itself, which is a solely English medium university, considers my degree to have been taught in the medium of English. It does beg the question, what language do you consider my degree to have been taught in? Do I have a French degree by your definition? Does that mean that students in the UK who have studied a few courses in French do not have a university level of English, or a degree that could be considered English medium? Also, the definition of "a significant proportion" of a degree should be explicitly stated.
The only fair thing to do if you are unable to process my application, would be to provide a refund, and I would happily change my opinion of your organisation if this was approved.

Very poor communication and risk of losing my application
I submitted my application with ECCTIS on 29 July 2025 and paid £252. On 5 August, I was told that ECCTIS contacted my university for verification. However, my university confirmed several times that they have not received any communication from ECCTIS.
I tried to follow up directly with ECCTIS:
They take up to 5 working days to respond to each email. & Live Chat is completely useless and does not give much information
They refused to confirm which university email address they used.
Even after I provided them with the correct university contact details, no action has been taken.
This is extremely stressful because my sponsor has already submitted my visa application, and ECCTIS told me my application will automatically fail after 20 working days from 29 July. That means I risk losing both my money (£252) and my visa opportunity because of their lack of communication.
What makes this worse is that since my payment was made from outside Europe, I feel that there is no real care or interest in progressing my application. This is unacceptable for a service of this cost and importance.
I expected a professional and transparent process, but so far this has been very disappointing

-Update (19 Aug 2025): After my initial review, Ecctis clarified that they had followed up with my university regarding the verification. My university has now responded twice on 19 & 20 Aug 2025 , and asked for administration fees & extra documents , application is currently under review with Ecctis. I will update again once the final outcome is received
Update :21.08.2025 , i have paid the admin fees on behalf of ECCTIS , i hope i get good outcome soon
