My experience with Ecctis so far has been quite frustrating and far more complicated than expected. I have provided multiple official documents and thorough explanations directly from both my university and my college, including emails from the relevant examination authorities. Despite this, Ecctis has repeatedly refused to accept the information provided.
Throughout this process, I have made every effort to meet their requirements: I contacted several departments, forwarded official statements, shared historical details about my institution’s transition to autonomous status, and provided all mark sheets and certificates. My university has clearly explained that certain documents cannot be issued in the format Ecctis is insisting on, due to the autonomy regulations that were in place during my course of study. However, Ecctis continues to request exactly those documents, without offering workable alternatives or acknowledging the limitations explained by the issuing authorities.
For the fees charged and the importance of the outcome, the lack of flexibility, understanding, and guidance has been extremely disappointing. The process has been slow, rigid, and unnecessarily stressful, even though I have supplied every possible document and clarification. My application is still in progress, but the experience so far has been far from satisfactory.

A very unhappy journey with ecctis.
I have provided transcripts as one requirement and suppose ecctis to verify it. They did not do the job but asked me to approach my uni to prove it. I literally did but they don't say a word afterward. Talked to customer service and asked me to wait 5 days even to confirm they receive the uni email or not. Ridiculous! Frustrated about their service and why only 1 appointed company can do this job.

Application 1 Summary:
My first application was submitted on August 29th,2025. I was instructed to wait 20 working days. I waited as advised and received a reply on September 26th stating they were "unable to verify" my credentials.
I immediately contacted my institute, which confirmed they had never received any verification emails from Ecctis at their official, publicly-listed email address. On September 29th, I asked Ecctis to specify which email address they had used. They replied on October 1st, refusing to share this information due to "counter-fraud vulnerabilities."
While I understand their security policy, the issue is that my institute's website openly publishes the correct email address for verification, which the Ecctis team did not use. Ecctis also stated they had only sent one email to my institute on September 13th. This means it took them 11 working days to send a single verification email to an incorrect address, to which my institute obviously could not respond. Consequently, my application was rejected.
Application 2 Summary:
I submitted a second application on October 10th,2025. On October 15th, I proactively asked for confirmation that the verification email had been sent. I was told on October 16th that the application had moved to the verification stage. On October 20th, Ecctis stated they had contacted the institute.
After waiting two more days, I personally travelled 946 km to my college on October 23rd. The institute officials showed me proof that they had still not received any communication from Ecctis. Following my institute's guidance, I provided Ecctis with the detailed verification procedure published on the institute's website.
On October 27th, Ecctis replied, stating they had now asked their third-party verification service to contact the institute again. As of now, 12 days have passed since my application was submitted, and my institute has still not received any emails.
Can someone please advise me on what to do next?

Shocking. I was an electrician for 10 years in Australia, moved to the UK and instead of taking time off work I tried to convert my license over which I told them this is why I was using the service. All the documents they wanted me to send in and then after 2 weeks asked me to send one of the documents to my college back in Australia (what am I paying you for??) they then told me it was all good and the next process is to do my AM2 and another course .... literally pointless as i could f just gone and done this myself. £600 down and no license. Thanks for nothing. **** they have also said they followed up under this - they have not!

Very disappointing and frustrating experience with ECCTIS.
I chose the ECCTIS QLS route instead of an English test to accelerate my visa application — this turned out to be a nightmare and a complete waste of time and money.
I submitted my application on 9th September 2025 with my university’s official MOI letter and contact details. I even informed my university, and they confirmed they were happy to verify if contacted. ECCTIS claimed they reached out on 11th September 2025, but when I checked with my university, nobody received any request.
Since then, I’ve contacted ECCTIS every 2–3 days to explain the situation, only to receive the same generic, copy-and-paste replies: that the email address they used is “verified” — yet they refuse to disclose which address they sent to, citing “process integrity.” I escalated the issue multiple times and asked them to resend the verification email, but again, I only got templated answers with no real solution.
On 2nd October, I filed an official complaint. Still no resolution. Even when I called, the customer service could only say it was “escalated to a manager” and that I needed to wait another 5 working days. No accountability, no urgency, and no willingness to actually resolve the problem.
If you are deciding between taking an English test or going through ECCTIS QLS: do the English
test. ECCTIS is slow, unresponsive, and inflexible — exactly the opposite of their claims of “process integrity” and “high-quality service.” For anyone on a tight visa timeline, this service is simply not reliable.
ECCTIS: your handling of this case shows a total lack of transparency, customer care, and accountability. You urgently need to improve your processes, communication, and support if you want to live up to the standards you advertise.

From the very first day, this experience with Ecctis has been a nightmare.
First, they claimed they contacted my University but got no reply , later I found out this was because they used the wrong and “invalid email address” .
Then they came back to me, asking my registrar to confirm my diploma , for me as someone who studied, graduated, and received my diploma from my institute under the University, of course I contacted the registrar of my institute IGEE , the same registrar who signed all my documents and whose details are publicly listed on the University website. Ecctis dismissed him as “not legitimate and that they seeking verification from the university itself not the institute!!!
I contacted the official University address myself and got a reply in hours. The University referred my case back to Mr. Zidane the registrar of my institute , confirming exactly what I had been telling Ecctis many times. Still, they refused to accept it, walking against all logic and refusing accountability.
Instead of helping, they left me chasing my institute, chasing the University, and chasing their advisors ,exhausting enough for anyone, but even worse as a mom with a new baby.
Their customer service made everything worse. I paid £252 for this service, yet I found myself begging them for answers. Advisors contradicted each other, sometimes saying they “couldn’t locate contacts in their system,” other times claiming “a third party provides the details,” and then saying they “check the University’s website.” This inconsistency shows not just disorganisation but a complete lack of clarity or honesty in how they operate.
On top of that, the way some advisors spoke to me felt discriminatory and dismissive, closing chats or giving misleading answers when I was only trying to follow their process.
What makes this more painful is that in 2019 my husband, who studied with me in the same University and same promotion, did the same process when it was NARIC and it went smoothly. I trusted that and didn’t read the reviews this time, but now I regret it deeply. The internet, and Reddit especially, is full of bad reviews and experiences with Ecctis. I wish I had checked before wasting my money.
Now my comparability application is at risk of closure, my urgent job opportunity is slipping away, and I’m forced to pay again for other requirements like the language test. This has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Their system is outdated, their communication is contradictory, and their process is slow without updates for the applicant .
If no urgent action is taken in my application , I will escalate my case to higher authorities. I will also write an update to this review as my case develops.
But if you are reading this before applying, please don’t make the same mistake I did. Your money, your time, and your mental health are too valuable for a service this poor.
