Why is eBay so useless at protecting buyers? I was promised a refund by a lousy business named "Baksol Trusted Shop". Now they say they cannot find my order! This is obviously a scam but eBay is not... See more

Verifying ID
Just a heads up. Don't bother trying to buy any bladed garden tools unless you have a credit card. It doesn't accept any other ID 🤣. They really have gone down hill badly as a company.

Bad experience as a seller,
Bad experience as a seller,
they need a revolution
E bay think they know it all but they…
E bay think they know it all but they don't they are so anti seller its a wonder anyone continues as a seller had so many bad experience's I am no longer selling. Its like trying to talk to Lord Lucan contacting them and if you do get to speak to a real person they do not listen.
Ebay must be losing a fortune.
Ebay must be losing a fortune.
Like a mug I bought something on eBay and as always the seller didn't reply to messages and didn't send the item (par for the course). So now I'm on the eBay roundabout (which item?, It may still be in the post, etc. BS) with no human agent contact. Ebay must know by now that this just annoys customers. I spend a lot of money on Amazon (it's dearer but at least you get your stuff). I only go to eBay if I really can't get it anywhere else. I will be so glad when they finally go bankrupt.
Taxed £12 on a £21 item I sold
Taxed £12 on a £21 item I sold. £16 was the subtotal price, meaning Ebay did a "hidden" tax upon me selling the item. Surley this is illegal? Why are they giving me £9 off a subtotal £16 item I sold?
The goods I received were fake and I…
The goods I received were fake and I can’t get in touch with eBay. Every time I register I have to do it again next time and they have no record of my order.
Second attempted sale in a year - both wrongly de-listed. Ebay never responded to my appeal
Second attempted sale in a year. Both items incorrectly de-listed. I tried to appeal - nothing happened. I can't seem to track or prove the existence of an appeal. The help bot is useless - you go around in circles and are never offered a real agent. Truly awful experience...
After trying again I managed to contact an agent on chat. I'll update if this gets resolved.
Three days later - no resolution. I plan to try customer support chat again in a couple of days. If no luck then I'll go to a competitor. I have a list of things to sell - but life is too short to battle such nonsense.
Five days on - tried chat support again. No progress.
I was told to give them another 72 hours. Time up. I'm done with them and going with my five items elsewhere.
I tried one last time via the callback option. 14 minutes estimated time - that was 50 minutes ago! Wasting my time.
EBay only care about money
I didn’t sell anything as the buyer didn’t arrange collection and they blamed me and keep sending me emails asking for a percentage of the sale proceeds.if they bothered to check their records they would see no transaction took place .i would never buy or sell on their site again.all they care about is getting cash whether u did sell or didnt .there are better sites to sell on such as Vinted and gumtree
Lots of scams and no customer service…
Lots of scams and eBay customer service is impossible to contact for complaints or refunds.
Will most definitely delete the app
eBay Management Support distribution of counterfeit goods
Even eBay's management are unable to use common sense to override standard system processes.
Today i contacted eBay following confirmation from Swatch on Oxford Street that the 'watch' I had been sold through their platform was counterfeit. i didn't imagine for a minute that the cheapish plastic watch market was littered with fakes, but as Swatch told me, it was a 'good fake'!
But because I had left the item in its box, unused, for a year eBay couldn't help me, nor did they seem bothered that the seller of the fake watch was still active.
When I gave the watch to my son we couldn't get it working, so I had assumed the battery had died. But Swatch said it couldn't be changed and showed me the differences with a genuine equivalent.
All i got from ebay (management) was 'computer says no' attitude and an indifference that they were favouring sellers of fake goods over genuine customers. I certainly won't use ebay again, and advise caution for anyone still doing so.
EBay are one of the worst companies on earth. Arrogance knows no limits with them. They will crash and burn.
Shocking and look at their score!
I was “given” a £50 voucher against £125 spend for selling an item.
They couldn’t link my bank so I could t withdraw so I didn’t use the voucher while they sorted. After a week I gave up so used the balance and wanted to add the voucher.
They had ended it after a week, basically put an expiry date on it.
Scammers
Item: 168355291157 Rolex
The description says... 'AAA+ copy'
Reported but eBay response was...
'didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy'
amazing - be careful what you bid on!
avoid selling items on ebay
avoid selling items on ebay, i sold my north face jacket, when the buyer received it, he opened a return case straightaway, so within couple of days i received the parcel, i opened expecting my jacket back, i found the box full of cardboard paper, and ebay refunded him straighaway, when the package marked as returned as its tracked delivery, i chatted with them, but they didnt help me to get my money back, or my jacket back
Ordered a item and was charged twice
Ordered a item and was charged twice, once by a card that had expired!!
Requested a cancellation of one of the items with ebay and messaged the seller, all within 10 minutes of the order been placed.
3 days later both items are posted within request to cancel been totally ignored along with my messages to seller.
Contacted ebay and they could not be more helpful. They apologised and refunded 1 of the charges and promised to look into the matter.
Fast professional and helpful, well done ebay.
Most dissatisfied with my recent…
Most dissatisfied with my recent experience, been a ebay buyer for around 15 years, goods supplied did not match the description. Can't get anything outa ebay issue resolution centre other than an automated A.I. response saying no refund.
I guess this is where Ebay and I part ways as I will avoid using them from now on.
Using eBay for over a decade now, and it’s always been a smooth experience. No complications, no issues—just consistent, reliable service year after year
I’ve been using eBay since 2012 and have consistently had a positive experience. Everything has always run smoothly, and I’ve never encountered any issues. It’s been a reliable platform for both buying and selling over the years. Highly recommended!
The worst selling platform I have ever…
The worst selling platform I have ever used sold 70 items usually get paid two days after delivery now eBay’s holding funds for over a week and half even though the customer has left a positive review NEVER AGAIN HIGHLY DO NOT RECCOMEND USING THIS PLATFORM
Put items on an auction needed to…
Put items on an auction needed to change a couple of things so people could see exactly what they were getting couldn’t do it was advised by customer services to end the auction and re-do it with the correct info done that then eBay had only allowed 7.50 for postage although I had put different, the items weighed quite a lot so it would have cost me mega once again couldn’t edit spoke to customer services again and they said to end the auction as they couldn’t change the postage then they swiftly charged me 20 quid I will not sell anything else on there never total rip off.
