Avoid this business at all costs. Spent £1300 on a drone that their website said would arrive next day if I ordered before 9pm, so I ordered with nearly an hour to spare. The item wasn't even dispatched until the next day. I informed them that as the item arrived too late it was no longer required as I had to buy it from elsewhere. They clearly don't want it back as they offered me £50 to keep it. Again, I said it arrived after their stated delivery date, which was too late for me so it needed to be returned.
The above isn't really my issue, these things happen. My issue is that they are now demanding that I pay for return postage myself because of their mistake - A cost they have quoted me £40 for! So in essence they made a mistake, the item arrived too late and their view of what is acceptable is for me to pay to ship it back. I am now having to raise a dispute through PayPal. Needlessly horrific customer service. Will never use again.
EDIT following their response: They didn't tell me I had the option to reject delivery until AFTER it had been delivered. How was I supposed to know this? I'm sure if it went missing and I had rejected it they would have said it was my fault as I had the 'option' to take it in. Also the item wasn't being returned because it was unwanted. It was returned because it was not deivered (or even shipped) within the agreed timeframes. I honestly didn't expect any issues returning it given their mistake. A decent company would have just arranged for collection.

A pin number was attached to the delivery though not provided leading to failed delivery 3 days consecutively and a lot of faffing about on the phone to remedy
Thin packaging around the box was thin.
The waiting times on the phone are excessive.

Item was delivered at the billing address, instead of delivery address, therefore incurring an extra £20 for delivery with insurance for such a high value item. When attempting to check details, to ensure you had correct details, website's section of customer account was undergoing maintenance, so could not verify or talk to anyone.

The delivery time was less than 12 hours!I ordered my drone around 10.30 pm and it was at my door before 10.30am next day.
Super happy with my drone exactly as it was described online. Good quality good price.

My son bought a mini 4 pro and case from Amazon on Prime Day, long story short - the case arrived minus the drone and accessories, the driver insisted there was nothing else, despite asking for the security pin, for a case! Amazon insisted that he had received it. He was gutted!
So I checked the deals that Drones Direct were offering (I have bought all my drones from Drones Direct), they matched the Prime day price, plus included a 256gig sd card for free! So I ordered it, 24 hours later it arrived via DPD, resulting in a very happy son!
Always check Drones Direct before ordering from somewhere else.

Advertise next day delivery. When I tried to get in touch to discuss my order it took 45 minutes of dropped phone calls and online chats to be told that the item was out of stock (it was showing as in stock when purchased). Customer service at this company is awful - if you need your order quickly avoid if at all possible.

Update: After I reported that the drone shoulder bag arrived scuffed due to the damaged box, I was given a £40 account credit. However, I’m keeping my original rating as the overall customer service was poor, and the item should have been packaged with much more care to avoid this situation in the first place.
Avoid at all costs! My Mavic 4 Pro drone was shipped in nothing more than a thin plastic postage bag, offering no protection whatsoever to the original box—or the drone itself. It arrived damaged- original box totally busted up. When I contacted customer service, they were completely unhelpful, stating they couldn’t do anything because the drone wasn’t technically broken. If I wanted to return it due to the damaged original box, I would have to pay the return postage myself. Extremely disappointing experience. I won’t be buying from them again and would urge others to avoid them as well.

I ordered a "Box Opened" Dji Air 3s. I Had previously emailed to enquire about the box open aspect. They replied with this:-
Product title: Box Opened DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo (RC 2)
You asked: Box opened? Is this item new, unflown etc?
We answered:
This drone is brand new, in perfect condition and hasn't been used, but the box has been opened however the drone has not been flown. Thanks!

On the strength of that I placed an order for £1299.00
which was processed. I had a delivery date for 16/6/25. All Good. Next day, the delivery moved to 17/6/25. OK. Next day the delivery moved to 18/6/26. Not Good.
I called customer services and eventually found out that the item was not in stock! Remember the "Box Opened" Deal that they checked and emailed me to say all was good! They went on to tell me they did not know when this item would be back in stock! What a shambles and a very big disappointment. Bearing in mind they have cashed £1299 off my credit card.
Very dubious trading at best. The only saving grace in the whole sorry episode is that my card was reimbursed very quickly. In conclusion I would say that if Dronesdirect don't have the stock, don't sell it. And don't give fictitious details via email about an item that does not actually exist. And when you say "We really appreciate your order, so we've marked it V.I.C. – that's Very Important Customer. And we promise to send you handy updates every step of the way." It's not really true is it.
This V.I.C will not be back!

I am/was a repeat costumer of Drones Direct, my first purchase did not include the Free SD card as descrdibed (these things happen) cusotmer support were able to sort out, and the card was sent to me after the fact.
My 2nd purchase on the 31st of May (to be delievered tomorrow 12th June) had not moved progress. I phoned today to see if 1), I could change the Address, (I couldn't no big deal)
2) Get an update on progress.
At this point I was told, the Drone I ordered was out of stock. At NO POINT was I made aware of this. The Drone has been out of stock for some time (they still processed the order) and is still available online to purchase. I asked when would it be in stock, and was told "We don't know when"
This is ridiculous. You can't sell something you don't have in stock and or don't know when its going to be back in stock.
I refuse to use this company again, and would advise anyone in the market for a drone to simply avoid this "company" at all costs.
