Dosa Cjaska experience

I have followed Dosa chaska since the beginning of their journey, their enthusiasm and kindness along with the wonderful food they create is inspirational. The combination of eating alongside connecting with your health is both educational and enjoyable. Bringing a new idea to somewhere as remote as west cumbria am sure has its challenges of which Shuba and Sachin appear to with grace and determination! This business i think will control to grow and inspire many.

Terrible

First night took an hour and a half to arrive at Cumberlandia festival and the food was marginal at best.
Second night the food was more expensive and incredibly disappointing. Overcooked rice, yogurt dip had turned and a watery soup. Terrible.

Reply from Dosa Chaska

Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience from the Cumberlandia Festival. We're truly sorry to hear that your visit to Dosa Chaska didn’t live up to your expectations—we know how important good food and smooth service are, especially at a vibrant event like this.

Our team poured heart and soul into curating a menu inspired by the rich traditions of South India—every Dosa was handcrafted with over 40 plus ingredients, all homemade, pure vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. We take immense pride in serving real food, with no shortcuts, no pre-made sauces, and no processed toppings. It’s a labor of love—but at times, especially during moments of overwhelming demand, our fresh prep times did stretch longer than we had hoped, and for that we truly apologize.

Day two’s meal was our attempt to offer guests a broader taste of Southern hospitality—with Sambhar, Jira rice, Vada, chutneys, salads, and yoghurt—all made with the same ethos: no compromises, just care. It saddens us deeply to hear that this didn’t land well for you, and we’d love the opportunity to make it right.

Please allow us to offer a **full refund** of your purchases—no questions asked. And more than that, we’d be honoured to welcome you back. Just mention your experience next time you visit, and your meal will be **entirely on us**. We want you to taste Dosa Chaska at its finest, and leave with a smile.

Thank you again for your honest feedback—it keeps us grounded and committed to growth.

Warm regards,
Team Dosa Chaska
