Was sceptical at first when opening the door, but when I explained I couldn’t move from my current supplier (pay as you go meter that was here when I bought the house), they explained I could and they would do everything. Hopefully it’s Ben swopped over today. Weren’t pushy.

Got forced into switching providers…
Got forced into switching providers today by two door to door sales men. Extremely sneaky with his approach by playing that he was “checking if i could get a cheaper deal” bu seeing who offers me the best deal and told me “british gas is coming out as the best” (since learnt DWM are working for BG so of course they would say that) but he didn't make that clear. Done my own comparison since and found it £40 a month cheaper with EDF. He also told me my current supplier utilia are currently being investigated for fraud (stealing money off peoples metres) which i have again found out is not true.
Before i know it this “check” was him actually using the details i gave for said “check” to switch me without asking. I explained i have small arrears (no more than £100) he said he will delay my start date and don't tell them i have arrears when they call to check. He also said “on the call they will ask if i have left the property just tell them i have” so as a woman with two men in my garden and my small child present i had to play along to the call. He then left to go con my neighbour whilst leaving his colleague to watch me on the call to ensure i didnt say what had happened.
