We reported on relentless venom being…

We reported on relentless venom being spewed by "Tony T" and "Law of the Jungle".
We thought DISQUS did something about "Tony T". But no. He is back as "Tony Tony" now.
"Law of the Jungle" is still at it. Uncontrolled.
Sorry to say, DISQUS remains to propel selective garbage.
If I could, I would banish DISQUS themselves.

I got banned for reporting the sexualisation of children

I got banned for reporting the sexualisation of children.

The entirety of what happened is I saw someone sexualising the actors of stranger things season 4, we got into a back and forth and then they called me a pedo. I looked into them and their comments at that point I became aware that they were consistently sexualising children, and intentionally going into child-orientated communities to talk about sexual content with an easy example being they went into the Netflix Sea Beast community to talk about how big phalis could be and imaging how much semen the sea beast could produce.
Whenever interacting with people they knew were children this wouldn't even slow them down, and in fact it would often make things worse.

The three most common types of posts this person made were 1. sexualisation posts, 2. scat posts and 3. false allegations of pedophilia (Usually whenever they were losing arguments)

I reported this person, my report got deleted, I complained about this and stated how incredibly important it was moderate people who are sexualising children on their platform and they banned me, in the process of banning me they also deleted every comment I made.

At no point did they communicate with me in any way what-so-ever. No responses, no email, no nothing.
I have since checked back and the person I reported is still on the site, they are still active and they have now made 2k+ comments.

Honestly my whole response to the situation is "Wow, So glad they banned me since I don't want to be involved with anything that happens on a platform that bans people for THAT" I honestly just don't want to deal with Disqus anymore but I will happily bring up why I was banned because it's important for people to know such information in order to keep their kids safe.

"DETECTED AS SPAM" "DETECTED AS SPAM" "DETECTED AS SPAM" "DETECTED AS SPAM"
This is ALL I get when i kindly help other people find an old game. Then trying to reply to the comment isn't easy.
Don't waste your time on this pathetic website.

They put ads on our website without our permission

We've had this plugin on our website for ages and it worked fine but recently they made it not free anymore and they started putting ads on our website WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. That is sooo unbelievably messed up!! If we want to get rid of these ads on our website we have to pay them money or disable the plugin (and potentially lose any previous comments people have made on our website?). Terribly disappointed with disqus!!!

Never Create a Disqus account!

Do not create a Disqus account if you do they will sell your ip address and all your data to a 3rd party so that they can "target ad's better". YOUR DATA IS WORTH MONEY NEVER GIVE IT AWAY! the main reason they want your data is probably selling.

They ignore reports of inappropriate contents

I was getting the most horrendous hate comments and threats from a troll. Some of the language and abusive terms used would be a criminal offence in some countries. This disgusting individual even boasted about how good a troll he was and no one would ever win against him. But despite reporting each and every comment, the user is still allowed to keep their account and the hateful comments are still there. There is clearly no moderation on Disqus and this makes it a platform to avoid at all costs.

Disquis = word police facists

They are the worst. They keep automatically deleting my comments "for spam" on rt even though I never spam anything. No way to reach anyone at that company to even complain or appeal. I quit visiting and refuse to visit and and all websites which use disquis for their commentary engine. It is used as a form of censorship to silence people when they do not agree with what one has to say. Yet I have seen other users spam multiple exact same word for word comments and disquis does not automatically delete their posts. They are a bunch of facists.

People Are Stupid

People here (On Trustpilot) say that "Ohh, it's a bad website because there are so many trolls" "Oh, this is a bad website because I can't figure out how it works"...
IT'S NOT THE WEBSITES FAULT THAT THERE ARE STUPID PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD SO DON'T WRITE BAD REVIEWS JUST BECAUSE YOU SAW SOME RANDOM TROLL ON THE INTERNET.

Except for people being stupid its a really nice site where you can talk with other people about a specific anime, manga or whatever you want and share your opinion about different Animes/Mangas

Avoid Avoid AVOID DISQUS - Terrible company

Disqus tricks you in on a free plan and then sends you this:

"We are writing to you today to inform you that your site has been disqualified for advertising. Because your currently free Basic plan is supported by advertising, you'll need to pick a paid plan to continue with Disqus."

What a sneaky backdoor joke! Disqus "works" but the business model is trash. Anyone who wants to comment needs to sign up to Disqus and Disqus control this "mailing list" and actively market to it from their own branding on sign up on your site. Disqus adds very little value and takes everything. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID Disqus. Terrible company.

This site is horribly toxic

This site is horribly toxic. I began to use it as a teen, and was bullied on it. I was told to end my life and berated, and whenever i used the report option, nothing came of it. They didn't get punished. The majority of the moderators in any community you're in, don't care.

Even the block option isn't good. It's not even a block, it's more a "mute". Those you have blocked can still see everything you say, and harass you, and downvote whatever you post.

There should seriously be a report system like that of Twitter.

Disqus... Suddenly, off the rails!

I have been a Disqus user for well over a decade and occasionally would be asked to sign in and by clicking of the "D" in that request, boom! I was back in.

I made my last comment a couple of hours ago without incident and throughout my Disqus experience I have had very few issues or complaints.

Just a few minutes ago, I was presented with the occasional request to sign in as per usual but this time it did not work. I've tried everything that I can and still cannot log in. Note that NOTHING has changed on my end such as email or "handle" or user info. I like Disqus chiefly because it is international in scope. Further, I have over 50K comments with just over 205K upvotes.

This sudden burp hopefully can be rectified by the "authorities" at Disqus.

Thank You Trustpilot!

Update: Disqus is back to normal so it must have been an internal glitch.

Like OpenWeb formerly Spot.IM Disqus is…

Like OpenWeb formerly Spot.IM Disqus is nothing more than a mass application of censorship that extends the reach past the mainstream Social Networks.

I've had comments in a pending state for over 16 months and some just plain flagged as spam despite being totally unique and not containing any links.

If you are looking for a truly free speech commenting system for your site then these mainstream self censoring ones are just not the answer.

You need to either rely on self-moderation through a commenting plugin in wordpress or create your own. Extreme but these are the times we are living in.
