Appalling customer service and terrible payment processing

Out of all the international house-hold brand express couriers i have used, DHL UAE has to be the worse provider out of all of them. Their poor customer service has consistently let me down and their admin fees applied on top of duties and vat are the heightest of all the main brands. To make is worse I paid for duties on on their website, through the local UAE payment system they have, only to have failed but was actually billed twice without my knowledge. After discovering this and contacting customer services by phone I was given the run around. Resorted to email and their customer service adviser was incredibly unprofessional handling my claim with no sight of a resolution to having the overpayment refunded. Only until I escalated the matter to senior management did i manage to get my money back. Overall a terrible experience that is not repeated with DHL in Europe.
