Never Apply for a Software Developer
Sadly, this experience highlights one of the main reasons I hesitate to participate in lengthy technical assessments during the application process.
After completing three online tests (45 minutes each) and a 72-hour technical exam to "demonstrate my skills"—despite already having professional experience with the very technologies required for the role—I received a rejection email. No GitHub repository was cloned, no feedback on the decision was provided, and the explanation was simply that there were too many applicants.
It feels disheartening to invest so much time and effort without even receiving constructive feedback that could help improve for the future.
