DestockPromo & Fedex
DestockPromo.fr & Fedex
IMPORTANT UPDATE
We sent a recorded delivery letter to the address they give on the order. It was returned "Not Known". We then used google maps and located the address and using the little man (drag the little man bottom right, to the pin) to see the shops, we were able to verify by telephoning the neighbouring shops etc. that there was no such company there. I also noticed that their email address was no longer available so I used the website Whois.com where you enter their domain name and that gives you the status of the website. Destockpromo.fr was opened 25/01/2026 and is now blocked! So I leave you with two good tips to check if a company is legitimate.
---------
The 17th of February we ordered a clothes dryer from this company. They confirmed our order, confirmed the delivery address, and provided a tracking number, which was confirmed to be Fedex (more about them later). We were informed that on the 20th of February it had been delivered. In fact nothing had arrived at our house.
As we found out later it had been sent to the wrong address. Unfortunately Fedex had delivered it to a company of Solar panel makers! Their delivery note confirmed it.
We went to Fedex’s office and they told us that the company named on their delivery ticket (which was probably not meant to be given to us) was their local delivery company. A Lie as it was clearly shown to be a Solar panel company and their address was on the ticket.
We then visited the Solar Panel Company and they denied ever having a delivery of a clothes dryer. The Fedex delivery note confirmed that they had received the goods with the added information that it was received and signed by that company’s Receptionist/Front desk.
Apart from the Fedex delivery ticket, we have no proof that the Solar Panel Company had it.
Destockpromo told us that they would give us a refund but only when the goods were returned to them, which was highly unlikely given the information we had.
Their legal contract on their website says otherwise. A short entry: No goods after 10 days - enquiry - then refund. We are waiting!!
We are not contracted to FedEX. That is Destockpromo’s problem.
Destockpromo wanted us to talk to Fedex, saying it was their fault and that they were responsible to us.
Both companies have lied to us. Fedex said that “We suspected it was delivered to the wrong address” and no more.
We will take legal action if we do not get an apology and a refund in full from Destockpromo.
UPDATE: We found Destocks company details and here in France they have what is called your SIRET. It's the company registration number.
Firstly it is not a valid number and the address they give is false. It is a Boulangerie or bakery. (We checked and spoke to the shop owner.
We have reported them to the appropriate authority.
