Support = 0, second chance- evaluation the same

I do not like leaving negative reviews but their support is the one worth 0 out of 5. I sent multiple messages and received 0 responses. It overshadows everything else.
UPDATE: I have sent them the last email as they asked in their reply. Guess what? Complete SILENCE. I would leave 0 if I could. Do not bother they just treat you like a wallet to pay them. By the way, if you use Iphone and you are subscribed to thier services check your account and choose their subscription and click 'See All Plans'. You will find you are paying not the cheapest option.

Excellent for reading fans

One of the best “productivity apps” I have ever come across. Good to read book summaries, here what other people liked about certain ideas and indeed get to read original ideas and summaries of podcasts and the like.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY MONEY! Worst app. I was looking forward to learning things on it, but it's just a very difficult to use app that gives you a very brief summary of a book. You can get more information about a book by simply googling it for free. And they are refusing to refund my money despite their "30 day money back guarantee".

Do not ever subscribe to this app

Do not ever subscribe to this app.

1. Unsubscribing is unnecessarily complicated

2. They intentionally hide this subscription from Apple, so you have no idea you’re still subscribed.

3. It costs 100 over USD for this, it’s mad for the low value it gives, use the money on chat gpt subscription and get better learning value.

4. Even when you talk to customer service, they will refuse to refund anything citing ‘policy’, the aim is simple, get people to subscribe, hope they forget they are subscribed and let the money grabbing scheme run endlessly.

Fact
- I was charged 100 over USD for another year of useless subscription, I did not even know I was subscribed, as Apple subscriptions also did not reflect this, I immediately contacted customer support, they said it was a legit deduction, out of good will only able to refund me 50 percent with a continued yearly subscription. Principally if you can refund half you can refund full.

You decide whether this is ethical. I repeat never ever subscribe or give a dollar to this app, it is a money grabbing low value app.

It appears they have a customer service team to reply on TRUSTPILOT to give people an impression they’re responsive, but once you email the mail they asked you to follow up with, again no replies.. really a SCAM company.

There was no email, and they still insist they are running an ethical business, see above, I already said 50 percent was refunded in the facts, yet in the email correspondence they’re blaming me for not knowing I was subscribed, how would I know im even subscribed when nothing is done from Deepstash to inform me.

So I say again, they give you a money back guarantee, make it intentionally hard to unsubscribe, do yearly charges so you don’t realise, and when you realize, they only give you back 50 percent saying ‘oh you’re ineligible for a refund’..

Ridiculous business model. If you genuinely want assist, give me back all my money, I did not wish to be subscribed and you just took my money without informing me, furthermore you took it for a YEARS WORTH of subscription which is ridiculous.. and stop insisting you sent me an email reminder, it’s a lie. You just took my money without informing me and now flipping it on me saying it’s in the terms.

And you continue to lie, saying the subscription is not shown in Apple because I subscribed on your website.. what rubbish, I did not even know you had a website..

Since asking for the proof of ‘it’s my Deepstash anniversary’ email, the customer service has stopped replying. Gone cold, just as I called them out on their money grabbing tactics. NO EMAIL WAS EVER SENT, they just take a years worth of subscription without informing you.

This is a total scam

This is a total scam, they will take money with no warning or request, even if you cancel the subscription and the payment, which is processed by Stripe. I've informed my bank they this is fraud.

Charged immediately after trial – refund refused

Update: after a lot of back and forth, I finally received my refund.

ETA: It just went through in my bank account, even after I got a message that it was resolved. It will not be resolved, unless I get my money back.

I signed up for a free trial. I deleted the app, thinking that that would delete everything. Then, I was charged $69.99 for something that I won't and haven't even used. The second it appeared on my bank account as pending, I reached out. They told me no. All I want is a refund. I am so disappointed.

Garbage app

Garbage app, content was not interesting to me. Attempted to cancel on day 6 but the app link would not proceed. Emailed company on day 6 to cancel “free trail” and no reply. On day 7 they charged my credit card and emailed me a receipt which I immediately replied to and they quickly answered saying I did not cancel in time (although I had in fact canceled on day 6). They said they cannot cancel this year but will cancel next year and give me 2 years free. Like I would ever be associated with a predatory company like this even if they gave me 10 years free.

I have contacted and attorney who works with fraud companies like this and will keep you all posted. I am also contacting app support as well as my cc company.

I tried Deepstash for 1 day

I tried Deepstash for 1 day, found is useless.
Deleted it and thought I cancelled my free trial. No notice they were billing me, said they would notify my 2 days before and let me opt out. Did not happen Charged my card without notice.
I am requesting a refund. My Apple account has no information on the subscription.

Secretly signs you up for subscriptions

I personally did not use the app, and after the initial trail deleted the app.

Unfortunately, I had not realised (in the very small print) I had unknowingly subscribed to the app and was randomly charged £49.95. I sadly am not in a position to be able to afford this, and tried to contact to discuss a potential refund but have had no response. This is very unfortunate given I had already given money and not even used the app.

As mentioned here by different people : they take your money without any notice and refuse a refund.
I cancelled my subscription already 10 times and i can keep ‘cancelling it’.
I send all the proof to them and asked them to confirm the cancellation again. On my first two emails they responded on the same day and after asking for a double confirmation that my subscription is really cancelled i’m not getting an answer.. i hope they still answer me.

Either way do not waste your money on this app! Complete scam. Even one star is too much.

Disappoint app, awful customer service.
Stated on that if you pay the trial they will refund if you didn't like the app after 30 days. I canceled it after 7, contacted customer support (and that task wasn't easy, it's already difficult to find the CS contact). Reason for not doing a refund: As part of our 30-day money-back guarantee, eligibility requires meeting the following conditions: Reading at least 100 ideas across 5 different days (meaning at least 5 active days in the app).
It went from just an app that I didn't like (which is ok, probably suits someone else) to a terrible experience.

Scammers

I feel truly scammed. I suddenly saw a charge on my card for +$100 dollar I didn’t recognize so filed a dispute with my creditcard company. Turned out it was Deepstash, I don’t even had the app. If I signed up it must’ve been ages back and cancelled? Worst is yet to come, they provided my creditcard company with ‘evidence’ that is completely false. Supposedly A receipt that has a completely different date than my supposed renewal, a copy of an email I never sent (!!), and it says I received reminder of renewal. I have 0 emails from Deepstash in all my emails, including spam boxes. They took my money and even make me look like the person that is lying to my creditcard company.

They forcefully charged my CashApp card even though I cancelled my 3 month subscription and the Stripe page confirmed it was cancelled, yet they still somehow managed to pull $49.95 out of my account today. One transaction was flagged and cancelled, the other went through. I am in the process of disputing the charge with Cash App. I sent Deepstash/Brainstash an email, but I doubt they're going to fix the issue.

Very difficult to cancel subscription after free trial

Revised and updated to a two star as they provided me a refund following my review on Trustpilot. Original review follows: Accepted the free trial and then submitted cancellation but the bill came through regardless (3 months later once I’d forgotten it). 3 month minimum subscription (not monthly so it can be easily cancelled) to maximise the charge, unable to receive a refund. Product is poorly laid out, content not very interesting.
