I have purchased two dresses and they are outstanding. The design, colours, construction and fabric are all superb. It’s very true that what we wear can impact how we feel. These dresses make me feel feminine and lovely. I’m so pleased to buy from an ethical/slow fashion company too. Order and delivery process have been perfect both purchases. Can’t recommend daughters of India enough! 🙏🏼💕

Great dresses and customer service
I have been purchasing from DOI for nearly a year and have had no issues. Customer service is great. Some of the dresses are sheer but I have had no issues with returning them if need be. Important to know that when you return for a change of mind you receive a store credit. But this is very clear on the website. I love the dresses and the customer service. They often have generous sales and deals.

I'm so happy I found this store! I've ordered three different dresses so far, and I've been extremely satisfied with each one. The material is wonderfully light and high-quality, and the patterns are beautiful. The dresses are flattering and look gorgeous on. The communication has been the best I've ever experienced, and the delivery to Finland was incredibly fast!

We understand your concern about the sheerness of some of our garments. Depending on each individual, some may find our dresses sheer. This is noted in the product description. We wanted to leave the flexibility up to the customer—many love the free-flowing feeling, while some choose to wear a slip if desired. It truly is a personal preference!
If you're looking for a dress that is less sheer, I recommend opting for our darker-coloured Kyra dresses, as they appear less sheer.
Additionally, we have some styles that are double-lined, including our Rooh Mini & Maxi, Nora Mini & Maxi, Lalika Dress, and our Jasmine Midi & Maxi.

Elegant and comfortable
Pricy, but high-quality dresses and definitely worth the cost if you can buy when on sale. I would recommend that you size down. The designs are supposed to be flowy, but even M is sometimes too big for me and I'm 180 cm tall. I really like wearing these dresses for travelling and for everyday use, they look elegant but are super comfortable :)

Holidays have changed for the better
Just back from my holiday in Sardinia and everything was absolutely perfect because I had my Daughters of India dresses with me.
I bought 4 of them before I went away and yes I was a bit apprehensive about spending this money!
However it turned out to be the best investment ever!
I wore them the whole time on vacation, didn't need to pack anything else in my case.
On the beach during the day as they were really cool and light in the warm sunshine. Then so feminine and gorgeous while strolling in the nice evening summer breeze. I got so many lovely complements from my family and friends.
What a fantastic replacement too the normal sticky shorts and tight fitting t-shirts!

I loved the clothing but the loyalty point program is a bit underwhelming as you need to spend hundreds of dollars to earn anything have decent.
The clothing is definitely worth the price though

Love my DOI dresses
I have two DOI dresses. I love the light, airy, flowing feel of the material and the sustainable and ethical way these clothes are produced. The Jasmine style maxi dress comes with a slip which reduces the see-through of the lightweight material, and I don't find the two layers too hot. I also have a Kyra midi, and on a very hot day the sheer fabric feels cool and comfortable, but I would love to be able to buy a separate lightweight plain slip to wear underneath to reduce the see-through if I wish.

DOI dresses are so light and airy and…
DOI dresses are so light and airy and they make you want to wear a dress all day long. And so I do! They may be sheer in most cases but a full slip can fix that if you want to wear one. They are very cool to wear and they have a ton of gathered fabric which I love. I have 6 of their dresses so far and continue to get compliments and recommend this brand to others.
