Super helpful
We had ran out of oil due to a faulty Watchman and were desperate for some oil. Everyone that we dealt with at Darch - from the original call to our trip to the depot was fantastic. Not only could we just rock up and get the oil from the pump, but they also had containers which we could buy, helped us fill them up, great price and put us on a quick delivery. Nothing was too much trouble. Great friendly staff and I would definitely recommend Darch.

Some unreliability in delivery dates
I made my own arrangements paying upfront online. Booked a specific delivery date and small lorry due to need to reverse down single track road. Delivery date was missed three times and lorry was a big one. Friendly delivery driver but delivered 1 litre more than pre-paid order. I then owed 72p but bill made me liable for a £10 late payment charge on the whole amount if not settled immediately.
Long standing customer of Darch but pre-Christmas may have added pressure.

We apologise for any delays in delivering your fuel. The lead-up to Christmas is always a busy period for us, and we work hard to ensure no one is left without their fuel during this critical time.
To clarify, our invoice terms and conditions do include a £10 charge for late payments as standard. However, we would have written off the 72 pence rather than apply the fee—especially as we over-delivered on your order!

Chris, The Christmas Delivery Driver
I would just like to make special mention of Chris, the Christmas Delivery Driver. Yesterday he tried to contact us all day about our delivery: my husband thought it was a scam caller, and my mobile was turned off. Eventually, late in the evening, he finally got through. He was ringing to tell us that he would be making his delivery at 6 am today and didn’t want us to be alarmed. How courteous is that?

Good prices but poor contacting
Prices for home heating oil are competitive. However, despite having requested on more than one occasion & being assured there is a note on file, they do not contact me before delivery. Consequently, the side gate and the tank lid are locked & delivery is not possible if I am not home.
Update 15/12/24: I have sent you the information you requested in your response.

Driver training new employee
Driver training new employee. Ended up filling my tank with the wrong fuel !!! It was sorted a few days later when they drained tank and refilled with correct fuel. So not the best experience but they did sort it.
