The downfall of a once good company

Curry's used to be my go-to art supply store, and because of that, my husband bought me several hundred dollars worth of gift cards. However, I have never been able to redeem them. No one has ever answered the phone in the past year and a half (or more!) that I've been trying to contact them. Emails are ignored. The cards are impossible to use on the website. They have stolen customers' money.

Ordered product months ago

Ordered product months ago, and never received it, I heard they went out if buisness so I chocked it up to just a loss of a couple hundred dollars. Just received an email about them getting new product in stock, so I guess they still exist and just stole my money.

do not buy from Curry's Art Supplies

I ordered during online sale February 3, 2025. I have never received my order. Communications from the store are rare and I'm told they are waiting for stock. I ordered products that I can get at any art or craft store. It's now been three months since I ortdered.

Avoid after care plan and curry's shopping

Avoid after care plan and curry's!
Had my kenwood fridge freezer written of because the engineer couldn't fix it. I have been in touch with customer service 3 times and was told that I should be refunded within the next 48 hours in two occasions and the last time I called them on 11 October 22 I was told that I will get the refund within the next 24 hours but still waiting.I now very much regret dealing with curry's.

I purchased a American fridge freezer from curry’s on 27/0722 . It arrived with 3 manufacturing faults I reported these I complied with everything but I spent 1349 on this it arrived broken and since I’ve been trying to get a exchange they did not help I complied with everything they said they sent me in circles to Ly them back to curry’s not once could I get through to a curry’s manager they blamed each other neither helped but agreed it was thete fault now I have a broken freezer compartment and no helo every time I requested a manager call back from curry’s done loafs if chats got nowhere . Yes you’re sales team is good but you left a vulnerable person under stress and duress fighting for a product I purchased in good faith it was clearly a manufacture fault screws internally wer broken frost free freezer priducing loads of ice ruining my freezer food I’m so upset appalled I neber got a customer service manager not a swap no matter how much they went against thete own consumer rights and sold a product not fit for purposes and inadequate and faulty and the engineer said yes it’s there fault and even thou it’s brand new for over a month and a half I’m still waiting for a manager curry’s why are you selling broken products and how can you rip off vunerable End of life patient this was bought because my last fridge broke I have cried so much over a fridge as it was for my convenience my dream fridge and they won’t exchange deliberately dragged out enegineer comming out despite me reporting it the day it arrived and I provided pictures I did everything I was told tk do then they turn around and say sorry we’ll fix it that means taking apart all the inside panels door seals and s few behind ice compartment this is disgusting I bought this and it came broken and it’s there fault and no matter how many times I have asked to speak to a manager 20 plus calls nothing how and why did you do this curry’s you violated my consumer rights and now I’m left with a broken freezer and I’m heart broken the emphasis on sell sell is the way this company works in-house Ly customer service have said it’s not on them it’s curry’s ( which it is ) and curry’s did nothing no matter how much I asked they even have the end sets report they offered to fix my new fridge not exchange it and gave me no choice they sent me around in circles for over a month so they wouldn’t have to exchange and not once after requesting a c manager did one call why and how cus. You condone doing this to a person who’s dien ? Sam n why I’ve co ya tex trading standards as the customer service people will do what it takes to cut you off fob you off keep you on hold and do nothing or cut you off ?? You never get issuoes realise every most of the i housevin pg said this is common with curry’s why ? How could you do this to innocent people given the financial crisis it took slot to save up for that in a very very unwell single mu to s disabled child and this is just 💔💔💔. Why and where are you’re managers ? And why do you kitcresolve issiies and yes all my calls are recorded and won my emails I have them aswell as the engenders report indicating it came broken manufactures fault . Curry’s did not will not do anything for me ?? If I could I’d give curry’s 0 stars for the stress of the after care and non exchange my bank and trading standards will be Intouch £13499 is not cheap why ?

I ordered a small Fridge on a Sunday…Curry’s Avoid if you need any service from them

I ordered a small Fridge on a Sunday evening, the very next morning I cancelled, as I was unable to do a price match, I was assured it wouldn’t get sent out! the following day it arrived. I eventually got through to a talking customer service agent.who advised me the quickest way to return it would be my nearest Curry’s store. I am disabled so a member of my family took it back, to be told it couldn’t be returned through the store, as it was an online order. I rang back and arranged a collection. I’ve since spoken to at least 5 agents, as the fridge is still sitting in my lounge, unopened waiting a collection. I ordered this on the 16/8/22. I have spoken to at least 5 different agents, that have told me it will be collected. It’s the 31/8/22, and I’m still waiting!! Most importantly, I need the refund back into my bank account.

Staff and service okay

Staff and service okay. Bought a Samsung washer/dryer and paid for it to be delivered + installed. After a couple of months it was noticed by a friend that my boiler was firing up whilst my machine on and questioned me on this. I explained that i thought it was how it worked being technical and having paid for it to be Installed "but they had connected it to my boiler and water was always coming through very hot regardless of setting, needless to say a couple of my tops were damaged at the beginning. After 5+ attempts to contact Curry's...then being cut off after 23minutes when i did, though I'd given all my details and no courtesy call back +24 hrs later so i drove back up to the store. Frustratingly explained and the problem was sorted within a couple of hours, very happy about that but I should not have had to gone through all that, especially when I paid for installation, which cost me greatly in gas bills over that period. Not one mention of sorry since i went to back to store. hence low score

AVOID

Not even 1*, send damaged dishwasher and then tell you to wait, without telling you that they’re out of stock. Shocking Customer Service wherever they’re based, rude, arrogant and patronising. I also made a complaint to trading standards regarding your way of robbing people off out of their pockets. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE CURRYS.

I sometimes come to curry's when I need…

I sometimes come to curry's when I need supplies such as tracing markers, watercolor paints, and different kinds of brushes. I tend to not shop here often because everything is extremely expensive. However the quality of the products I've purchased is amazing and have lasted me almost three years now.

I recently had a Samsung tv that’s was 3 years old and the screen failed, knowing that consumer law was in my favour and it should be assess and repaired. The whole process was so painful as Currys continually made it hard for me to get them to pick it up or even for me to deliver it to them for an assessment, after 2 months of emails, phone calls they finally picked it up and as it was a manufacturing fault they fixed it but even after all that I still have to phone up for a refund of the money I paid for them to assess and repair it. The customer service in his company is terrible to almost criminal. I give the company 2 stars because its only the customer service that’s is terrible the shop itself is just poor.

Had a really bad experience with them

Had a really bad experience with them. Would never return to their shop and would not recommend to anyone. I purchased a set or marker yesterday! When I tried it at home, a few of them was pretty dried out. Wanted to return it today and was told that marker cannot be exchanged or return. If I was informed before I purchased them, I would have requested to try them in the store . The sales lady’s attitude was also very inappropriate. She was argumentative and confrontational. She finally agreed to do an exchange, but her attitude was extremely bad. Worst customer service experience I have ever had with them. Will never return to their shop.

Currys have the worst customer service

I left a review a few days ago as CPW misled me when I responded to vip code for a PS5. Currys contacted me and asked for my details I provided this to them and they replied basically calling me a liar, they said they did not believe it was CPW I should be reviewing and told me to remove my review. First of all I have the receipt and gave them the ref# from it, I can send them a picture of it. Secondly there are so many people saying the exact same thing are they all lying too. HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF LYING AFTER MISLEADING ME INTO BUYING SOMETHING YOU DO NOT HAVE. I am reporting them to a retail ombudsmen and have contacted the newspapers covering PS5 stock so they can make people aware of this CPW scam and its diabolical customer service.

3 as the service is good it’s quick…

3 as the service is good it’s quick online and the monthly payment app very clear and easy to understand
BUT don’t bother paying for installation £40 and they dumped a £1800 fridge in my kitchen unboxed it and said don’t move it for several hours no installation nothing plus miserable as sin. Curry’s great , online credit great but installation service poor

Extremely disappointed with knowhow customer service

Extremely disappointed with knowhow team’s customer service. Do not recommend anyone to get the extended care plan.
Have been paying monthly for six years for a washing machine and it’s been three weeks and the issue hasn’t still been resolved.

Stay away and save money

This review is to highlight Tommy and Rich know how engineers (London 11/8/21 cooker install ) - both were very polite and knowledgeable! They explained what they had done and were very careful with my existing appliances.

They are a credit to the company, as they turned a terrible situation around quickly and we’re just a Breath of fresh air compared to other know how members of staff have been over the past three months - if only I had them sent out on the original job it would have saved a lot of stress and inconvenience! Thank

So I tried to order online

So I tried to order online. But there system was not working ( it happens) so I thought I would do it the old-fashioned way and make a phone call. But unfortunately Currys does not have a phone number you can talk to the store. Instead they have this automated system that requires Broadband not a phone number. The people on the other end of the phone were not helpful at all I think they've been programmed to tell you to look on the website. Come on Currys you're a big company you should know how to do customer services. So with all my difficulties I went to a small independent store. Currys looking at all the reviews I think you have a big problem with people able to pickup the phone to talk to your stores. Your a big company and should know better!!.

Purchased 2 Apple IPads assistant too…

Purchased 2 Apple IPads assistant too busy chatting filled in wrong address, ipads then delivered to that address, will not refund until they have found there way back to the warehouse. No phone number for contact Scunthorpe Store, have to go through 0345 number pressing god knows how many options to be sent a link back to their website, finally got through to customer service in South Africa! and put through to store spoke to Matt the Manager who said we need to contact customer services, took over 2 hours on the phone being passed from pillar to post. Customer Service said we need to contact store, no help at all, so having paid £1,600 for products that were promised free delivery next day, which they charged delivery, we have no iPads and don’t know where they are, and unable to find out when we will get a refund. An absolute joke, never purchase from Curry’s as if you have a problem they don’t what to know. Need to up their game on customer service. Would be minus stars

People be aware when you buy any service plan .don’t believe or trust them once you claim you will regret it. They will not give you full value of your product the value it will be less be aware before committing to any service plan don’t trust the person how try to sell the service ....

Curry’s at Berwick upon tweed

We went into the curry’s store in Berwick upon tweed to measure up for a new fridge freezer and dishwasher, found two that looked suitable, we told the shop assistant we would go home, check the measurements and be back in the following day to make the purchase. We went in the following day and found the fridge freezer price had increased by £100 over night!! ( being pensioners this pushed it out of our price range, especially when you have to pay extra for delivery, fitting and removal of old items) we were very disappointed!
