Want an omelette….dont go to cracker barrel

Went to Cracker Barrel in Lindale Texas for breakfast. Wanted an omelette. Didn’t see it in the menu (although eggs (cooked to desired style) bacon, sausage, etc were on menu. Asked waitress about getting an omelette…she said they don’t do them. I asked can one be made…she said no (I confirmed this at register). This is the first time ever a restaurant has refused an off menu order when they have all the ingredients. My last time at Cracker Barrel..and no wonder they have been struggling…poor customer experience. Order what is on menu..we don’t make exceptions!!?

We had the worst experience in Cracker…

We had the worst experience in Cracker Barrel in Dry ridge Ky.
No wait got right in was the only thing good about it. We waited one hour and twenty minutes. When we got the food was all cold. Ask to see manager she came out and had the worst attitude. She was like I heard it took a little while for your food with these grin on her face. we should have just walk out . This was the closest place to eat before going to the Ark. I suggest going to the Ark to eat . We will never be back

Went to Cracker Barrel today

Went to Cracker Barrel today, Thursday, August 29 in Watertown for their special at 3:45 this afternoon and after placing our order was told that they didn’t have any of the special so I am very aggravated and annoyed. I don’t know if I will ever go back.

Great service and wait staff. Wonderful hard working, friendly waitresses.

Great service and wait staff. Absolutely the best! Wonderful thoughtful and kind genuinely honest girls. I have two quick observations.

1. The corn muffins are hard as a rock here in Independence, MO. They’re not muffins so much as they are what we used to call on the ranch/farm corn dodgers. Horrible little rock hard bullets meant not to be enjoyed but to sustain life. Or use as an improvised weapon.

2. The wonderful idea and taste of the apple cobbler is quickly ruined in the first few bites. Who the hairy heck doesn’t peel their apples in a cobbler or pie. What is CB thinking? Slimy undigestible apple skin. Unbelievable. My menu was old, worn out and dirty. Torn badly and falling apart. Pity the poor girls who like their job and CB but are embarrassed by upper, basically useless tight fisted, wrong headed management, probably never have set foot in one of their restaurants or they’d see the bad issues and waste going on. It’s been failing for years. Just stand there and watch it burn. Very un-American.

All their talk about revamping and changing the business and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. They need to update the decor a little and get some new furniture. Get rid of half the crap inside the front door and take a look at the food, take a real hard look at it and make it better. Make it fresh. That’s what driving their businesses away. Get rid of all that old Americana garbage that is hanging on the wall and laying around there, that theme has been overdone for thirty-five years.

ITS THE FOOD QUALITY AND FRESHNESS STUPID! Go eat in one Mr CEO. Doesn’t take a PhD from MIT to figure out what’s wrong and better yet how to fix it and save this wonderful iconic brand or continue to watch it slowly go down the loo. The choice is yours.

Disappointing family meal.

I ordered the family meal for my daughter on 7/25/2024 at the Bremen, GA store. Overall, the meal was good except for the green beans. I had actually requested pinto beans instead. My daughter told me that the green beans had a strong taste of cigarette smoke and they couldn't eat them. Since the dining room is smoke free, shouldn't the kitchen also be smoke free?

Food is always cold

I have always loved Cracker Barrel's food but for the last three or four months the location in Matthews North Carolina has been unacceptable. It takes 15 minutes for someone to come over and take your order when they're not even busy. The food is always cold and Lord forbid if you get in order to go check it before you leave because it's never right. I've spoke to management on many occasions that they would straighten this out or see to it. Nothing has changed. I ordered the Grandma's sampler the pancakes were cold so what that the butter would not melt. The scrambled eggs, one piece of bacon and sausage and hash brown casserole was thrown on the plate like slop.

I was a happy customer until the last…

I was a happy customer until the last time I went into Cracker Barrel on 6643 Transit Rd., I-90 & SR 78, Williamsville, NY, 14221-7212 a few years back. A customer at another table was talking so loud I had to shout (like shout it out) my order to be heard. When my order arrived the fruit looked funny? The person I was with kept telling me to eat it... I later got very sick from eating it, so I'll NEVER return!! I hope they don't mind a real good tipper NOT coming back? The cashier always smiled when I paid for the meal when she seen the tip!

Down hill

We stopped at a few crackle barrels on our way to Florida. Every one we stopped at the food was nasty. It seems they are going down hill. This last one took the cake. The food tasted as they never cleaned the grill between foods. I’m sad because I always looked forward to eating there. I guess from now on, I’ll just shop in the store and skip the food. I will say the staff is always pleasant.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Waited 2 hrs. Finally served most food cold. Ordered eggs over easy got 2 broken yolks & cold, sent back got same food of course refused. Child was with me got charged for her milk, when menu said drink included. Terrible Place would not recommend! Oh 1st high chair only had 1 strap.

My Wife and I stopped in the Davenport…

My Wife and I stopped in the Davenport Iowa store to eat Dinner on the way home from Iowa City Hospital. We ordered our meal and when our waitress delivered our meal, we asked about our biscuits or bread. We were told the biscuits came in on the route truck and were hard , she would bring them to our table but told us we wouldn't be happy. No offering to supply something in their place. Side of green beans were just pieces and stems from the bottom of the pot. Not happy about the food. There are to many other places in Davenport Iowa to dine and spend your money. Beware!

Flag Staff

Flag Staff: Many things. Service very slow and waitress made multiple trips for basic utensils. Food below average. Biscuits and gravy far from good-gravy had no flavor. I have no interest in visiting cracker barrel again.And how do you spread frozen butter on biscuits ?

We were hungry and had never tried…

We were hungry and had never tried Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Glory was our waitress and "T" was the manager. The service was great. My brother had the best Pancakes we ever ate...out, they had a special and I also tasted the pancakes and they were great.
I think that Glory and "T" were very attentive, helpful and made our visit more fun and enjoyable. Thank you ladies, this was in Reno, NV 07/08/2024. Robin

Food quality continues to be BAD!

The customer service is fine….always enjoy the quick browse of store and paying at the table prevents the line at register. The reason I rarely choose Cracker Barrel is food quality. Nothing taste like it did a few years ago. How do you ruin homestyle chicken? It used to be the best meal….chicken wasn’t edible. Sides are cheap quality (better quality with my frozen veggies at home). Fried okra just a low budget quality. The cornbread was grainy and not fit to consume. The steak fries were warm, not fresh. You have sacrificed food taste and quality to keep prices lower. Reduce your menu…return to great quality food that made you famous. You need to put as much energy into your cooking as you your store. I will not stop for any meal again at CB except for breakfast…fortunately, you can’t mess that one up.

Glass with my salad

Travelling to Florida, stopped in to a Barrel. In short, was served glass in my salad which I happened to swallow. Wrote Cracker Barrel and they were kind enough not to accept any responsibility, tried to keep me happy with a tokan gift card. No representative followed up if I was ok, no one followed up when I wrote I was not happy with their settlement of this matter. Cracker Barrel decided to ignore me and hope I go away.

One cashier when we got in line

One cashier when we got in line. Waited 20min until a second cashier shows up. We were next in line to be checked out, but the second cashier skipped us and helped the folks behind us (UNACCEPTABLE). The second cashier should have started with the next person in line, which was us. We complained to her that she was wrong, but she insisted she was right and there wasn't a problem. We called for the manager, but he was unsure how to handle the issue at first. After a few minute discussion with the manager, he agreed she was wrong and apologized. Cracker Barrel-you are HORRIBLE.

Fantastic Birthday Lunch

Fast service. Excellent food. Great prices. All employees really nice. Go to Holyoke Cracker Barrel. Will not be disappointed. Tender and moist chicken and home-made meatloaf.
