Irish firm shipping from Ireland
Irish firm with products shipping from Ireland - even though there is ‘UK’ in the title and a UK domain. Bare this in mind if you need to return something as the costs are high and with potential fees and taxes on top. Otherwise a good firm with a great range of products and good customer service and comms, all good if you don’t need to return anything.

Hello Alex, thank you very much for your review. I would however like to correct a couple of the points you have made. Www.covingdirect.co.uk is NOT an Irish firm. It is the trading name of Davek Decor Ltd which is a UK registered company (VAT No. GB412789679). This is an important fact as it means customers do not pay any extra duties or VAT “on the doorstep” when they receive delivery. Something they would have to do if it was not a UK company.
Yes, orders are indeed shipped from Ireland, but I think you will find that a lot of things ordered online nowadays do not originate in the UK (or Ireland for that matter).
Finally, yes returns are always a pain for customers and so I do everything possible to try and avoid a situation where customers need to return items to me as there are costs involved. Before I dispatch an order every customer receives an email from myself asking them to double check everything ordered is correct and whoever is installing the items is happy with the products ordered. I will always choose to cancel an order rather than send it out to a customer who is unsure.
Returns cost more not because of taxes (there are no taxes/duties to be paid) but because of made up “import/export” fees courier companies charge for shipping goods out of the UK nowadays.

I accidentally ordered my coving light panels to wrong address and emailed tye company instantly after purchase. They replied quickly despite late hour and fixed the address to correct one. Items delivered with no issues. Looks good fixed to walls. Primed, so easy to paint nicely
