I ordered through SHOP

I ordered through SHOP. I was so excited when I found this company. But now they are saying my order is in customs and requires me to pay more for it to be released. I spent over $200 US dollars and I can’t get what I ordered and they won’t give me a refund and cancel the order. I have never had so much trouble in my life. And now it looks like I am going to be out everything I paid on this order. I would recommend that unless you want to keep getting charged more and more for and order you don’t order from this site. They have not been helpful or very responsive.

Thank you for your review, Jenny we always appreciate feedback, even when it requires us to gently set the record straight.

Firstly, regarding our response times: we are based in the UK, which means there is a time difference between us and our customers in the USA. We have responded to every single message promptly within our business hours, something we are proud of and our records clearly reflect.

On the customs charges: we are sorry this has come as a surprise, but this was not a surprise from our end. During the checkout process, and within our Terms & Conditions, which you accepted before completing your order. It is clearly stated that we do not collect US import taxes or duties. These are charges levied by US Customs, not by us, and are the responsibility of the recipient. This is standard practice for international shipments and, unfortunately, not something we are able to control or absorb.

Regarding your refund: as we have explained in our numerous emails, we are absolutely happy to issue a refund but only once the goods have been returned to us. At that point we will also be able to calculate any returns charges to offset. We cannot refund an order for items that are still sitting in customs awaiting collection.

We have been transparent, communicative, and entirely consistent throughout this process. The information was provided at checkout, in our T&Cs, and repeated across multiple emails.
