  1. Cooking School

Written by the company

The School of Culinary Arts Cordon Bleu in Florence is undeniably the oldest, and still operating cooking academy in Tuscany. The school has been captained since the beginning by Cristina Blasi and Gabriella Mari, two very different, though totally supportive directors. Since 1985 competence, professionalism, a variety of formative offers, and teaching have made Scuola Cordon Bleu Florence a cooking academy of excellence - the ideal site to rediscover not only cooking traditions and history but also to break new grounds. The location is in Palazzo Panciatichi Ximenes, and the 450 sqm school is housed in a charming sixteenth-century historic building. The new school premises are large, welcoming, and well structured: three kitchens with state-of-the-art professional equipment. There is also a themed library for student consultation. The Scuola di Arte Culinaria Cordon Bleu is waiting for you!

Such a wonderful experience

I went there with my Latin club from school and it was an amazing experience. The instructors handled a chaotic group of people (about 30 teenagers) extremely well, especially given they didn’t speak our language natively. It was the best meal I had on our trip. They were so sweet and very encouraging. Their instruction was clear and easy to understand, and they made sure to keep us on track. I would highly recommend them for anyone traveling in the area or even locals if they don’t already know of it.

Cooking class at Scuola Cordon Bleu

We had a group of 15 adults and 2 adolescents attend the cooking class. The instructor introduced himself and the others who would be helping us. We were provided with water which helped as it was pretty warm. The instructor was friendly, knowledgeable and very encouraging to all of our group. The results were delicious and we were provided with recipe cards and a certificate to take home. I highly recommend this excursion as an addition to anyone’s tour.

Fun & Delicious

I had a fantastic experience in this cooking class! Eduardo and Dino (hope I got that right!) were wonderful teachers, especially for our group that included teen participants of various ages. I’ve made pasta before, but learning authentic Italian techniques was fun and helpful.

The meal we enjoyed at the end was absolutely delicious. If this class is available as part of a tour, I highly recommend it. Just a heads-up: there’s no air conditioning, so be prepared for some heat. That said, they did their best to cool the room for us, and we really appreciated the effort

Great for school groups!

This was an amazing experience! We had a school group and our original cooking class was cancelled, but we found this place last minute. Incredible customer service! The instructor spoke excellent English, really engaged the kids, and was kind and patient in helping them even though some messes were made!! The food was spectacular, our company will definitely be bringing future groups here! Thanks so much!
