Advised business is most likely fraudulent

I ordered from the website - never heard from them, never answered phone calls or emails , never shipped the product. I reported them to the Consumer Protection Ontario and RCMP Antifraud unit. They advised doing business with them and indicated they are fraudulent.

Ordered nov 25 gift for Christmas….by mid December I tried to contact cookstore by email and by phone numerous times no response disappointed I did not receive my items in time for Christmas by 1st week of January still no updates on my order, I contacted PayPal and got my money back. Terrible customer service don’t order from them! I put a bad review on their website it was gone within 8 hours. All the reviews on the site are b.s.

DON'T DO IT!

DON'T DO IT! What everyone else has said is the same as my experience. They took my money right away, got a confirmation email then radio silence for months and no goods. I've called and email countless times. Nothing. SCAM! DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Like so many reviewers have said

Like so many reviewers have said, this company is a sham. I purchased a set of Jura cups, the website stated on backorder for @10 days. They fully charged the cc, not just a capture as most businesses do to ensure the card is legitimate and exists. This is highly suspect, but I expected the order to be sent in the near future. These cups are sold out everywhere for some reason. Shortly after I made the purchase two weeks later my father passed away out of province unexpectedly, so I didn't go back to this and follow-up until mid-November when I was back. The email I got back said the items were due in stock early December and would be shipped asap. Given the supply chain issues, inflation, covid, etc. etc. I didn't panic, and then of course Christmas arrived. Everything was backed up for shipping for everyone. Early January I reached out again, because it is not almost 4 months later and no communication/reply to my email, no parcel, zip nada. I have now asked the cc company to look into this and give me a refund because it is clear to me that this company is a sham. This is bordering on, if not outright fraud. Avoid this company at all costs. The reviews I saw earlier in the summer weren't all that bad, which is why I purchased from them. Since then, however, it's gone off a cliff with terrible experiences, and taking people's money without delivering, no contact, no one on the phone, etc. They need to be sued. The BBB, while it is a membership-driven organization (companies pay to belong) still does a fair job of dealing with complaints, supervising complaints etc. They have now said this company is Suspended on their BBB site. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

will take the money and run!!

Cookstore.ca will take your money right away upon order. you will then get a confirmation of payment with a note indicating you will get a ship tracking number soon.
If you do, great! but dont count on it.
if you try to call, no one will answer, claiming 'technical difficulties, try to call later', emails will end up with no response. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. If after 2 weeks of dead signal, stop hoping and Call your credit card company, ask for help. They will tell you the steps to take.

I would like to give a no star review

I would like to give a no star review. Ordered a chefs knife on November 27 2022, it is January 7 2023. I haven’t received my item, no response from email, can’t reach anyone by phone. Just started the dispute process with my credit card company. Save yourself the hassle and find another site.

For all those with similar experiences…

For all those with similar experiences of unfulfilled orders and non-existent customer service, the company is registered with the BBB. I have both initiated a chargeback process on my credit card and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I recommend others do the same.

Beyond Frustrated!

I placed my first order with cookstore.ca on Sept 16, 2022. I emailed them in October, and they sent me the cheap items, but the Lodge cast iron pan was never sent. I have since written to them several times with no response...and it is impossible to get a live person by phone. I am beyond frustrated and will NEVER order from them again. What a disgrace!

Worst customer service ever

Ordered a pair of wine glasses. It arrived broken. Emailed back to inform of the damage right away. No reply after numerous emails. Called the number on the website and number doesn’t work. Felt like I’ve been scammed.

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. Ordered product online that was shown as in-stock on Nov.27. Still have not received it. I have sent a total of 10 emails asking for updates and the finals couple emails asking for a refund. No responses. Their contact numbers have a BS automated voicemail and you cannot reach anyone or leave a message. Complete SCAM

Same experience as others

Unfortunately had the same experience as many on this site. Ordered a gift for Christmas in November 2022, it’s now Jan 2023. I haven’t received the item, my card was charged, and they are not answering emails.

I did order kitchen aid 7.5 L cost $923.99 from Cook store since august 4 2022. I did email them to check if I got fraud
the customer service person is Candice reply to me immediately said it’s not fraud etc
I send them email again not reply anymore It’s been 5 month already Does anyone know to to report this company and how to get my money back ?

Ordered 3 chef coats on october 23rd

Ordered 3 chef coats on october 23rd. Today is the 4 of january. After two innocent correspondence with customer service they just stopped replying to me. Was told 'two to three weeks more' then 'its shipping early next week. That was in november. They are liars.

Im in the process now of trying to get my money back.

They are out of business - Don't place any orders - you won't get the product.

They are out of business - they are still taking orders, but they laid off all their staff over a month ago at the beginning of December. Their website is still up with a "Holiday Clearance Sale", but they are not fulfilling orders - they simply take the money that you have sent, and don't deliver the goods. Quite frankly, it's criminal what they are doing.

If you have an order pending with them, they won't respond to your email - simply contact Paypal or your credit card and follow their dispute process to get your money back. I got my full payment back from Paypal - hopefully you get the same result.

I placed an order on December 1th 2022 and my credit card was charged and I received a confirmation email!
I have not received my property! I have sent numerous emails, without nothing . I hope the credit cards company will be aware.
Don’t order.

What to do when Cook Store Inc. scams you.

For all those who have had dishonest experiences with Cook Store Inc., begin by contacting police. Though they don't pursue this type of incident, they provide a file # which is helpful as a point of reference. Next, contact Canadian Anti Fraud Centre at 18884958501. Then, contact your credit card provider. They will begin a dispute process, which hopefully, will result in reimbursement of any money you paid to this scamming company. The BBB aren't very effective, so save your time. Good luck!
