It doesn't seem that Control4 can "command" all the options of the RX-V6A

Not been able to work on this myself and have to relay On the dealer is extremely frustrating.

Not satisfied.
Even though I believe Control 4 is or can be a good system, all reviews that I have read are the same. It's all dependent of a dealer to make it work, and for the most part in my case and folks in the negative reviews, it has not been a good experience. Not giving regular users the ability to configure, upgrade, etc, makes it difficult to fall in love with this product. In this day and age, regular folks are installing digital products like Alexa, wireless alarm systems, etc. Why can this be an option as well for your customers? I want to give this a chance, especially with the investment I made, but I need it working as it's meant to work. I can be contacted if needed for more feedback.

Near perfect system with unnecessary dealer only restrictions
Don’t get me wrong, I’d give Control4 5 stars but for one issue. It’s a rock solid system that gives unprecedented integration with an almost perfect interface. The benefits of a professionally installed system are clear from the off - solid performance, critical reliability of lighting, music, heating and security with capability that outstrips even the best home-brew automation system (and I’ve tried them all) The downside? Dealer lock in and the restrictions as a consumer. Even with the Composer HE software (which allows programming and a lot of capabilities), I can’t rename the rooms or devices in my new house without a dealer! Want to add a new Hue light to the system? £350 for my dealer to pop over. It’s completely worth the initial outlay and I don’t mind paying a dealer for major upgrades and changes, but c’mon Control4 - who doesn’t need to make the odd change/addition to the system? This seems to limit the appeal and restrict those tweaks most of us like to make to our smart homes.

We installed a Control 4 system in May…
We installed a Control 4 system in May 2021. Despite best efforts by the installer, we are continually plagged with buggy software glitches on our camera doorbells, TVs that freeze, and other challenges. Our installer rep has been back to our home at least a dozen times for various issues.. would need to speak to him to get the full history.. but not happy with Control4 at this time.

Unimpressive.
I use for TV and music only. I find it to be a poor system in general. I was going to use it to do a complete automation but have been very disillusioned and will look for an alternative. Comments are:
Very poor integration with Apple Music.
Needs workarounds so Apple Music then need to transfer my music to Sonos manually then hope that shows on Control4.
If Apple Music gets new music, this does not transfer automatically.
TV: again a workaround to get the TV and Apple TV operating.
NOT at all acceptable in 2021

Terrible product if you want to change (add/remove) devices
Control4 is terrible for end users, great for companies who are authorized to program them. I add an input into my system such as a new game system or cable box, and I have to pay to have someone update this? Even if the company is able to work with you and charge for every 15 minutes, if there are issues you can still get charged for all their time which quickly adds up. I replaced a streaming device with a different brand and was going to be charged $115 just for them to make the update. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Harmony remote while they are still out there.
Since the remote is already so expensive you should really allow end users to program if they want. Harmony and others do this, why not you?

Control 4 IOS update....now it doesn't work as it did
There was an IOS update and now the system doesn't work like it did. It isn't as user friendly as it was before so at the moment I'm not real happy about it's performance......

Disappointing results
The list is long:
1) slow to connect
2) very challenging to identify and zoom in on the events that is flagged
3) difficult to scroll
4) slow refresh rate
5) no web interface
6) no audio
7) overall: not as user friendly as other way less expensive competitors

Pain to setup, doesn't provide whole home audio, remotes can improve
This system has been a pain to get setup and configured correctly. I have yet to get whole home audio setup due to supposed complications with surround sound rooms that have receivers. There's a delay in audio between surround sound rooms and rooms with speakers connected to a control4 amp. So far I've paid a lot of money for a whole home automation system that can't even provide whole home audio. The automation configuration provides inconsistent results and sometimes turns the TV on when it's not supposed to, doesn't turn the Apple TV on when it's supported to, etc...the list goes on!
Also, the remote options leave much to be desired. The Neeo remote disconnects from wifi frequently. The lack of voice control on the remote is very limiting. I primarily use Apple TV and can control just about everything including my surround sound system receiver and TV with the Apple TV Remote.

Instalation was great
The installation was excellent. However, after the installers left, I didn't have any way of adjusting the systems. We changed a few things, got rid of others, and could not change any of the parameters.

Bad Experience
We built our house and moved in, in March, 2021--our builder had partnered with an integrator in the area, who pushed this product as a means to control things in our house. About the only thing we need it for is for the TV in the living room to be connected to various inputs located in another room's closet. It has not worked very well, is clunky, the audio/video are not synched (a good second or more off) and we have continual problems with using it. We actually hate the system, and should have gone another way.

Absolutely worth the investment
For years I have purchased, installed, configured, programmed my own smart home and AV solutions for our family's use. Finally we splurged for a Control4 system, and let me tell you...there isn't a better solution out there than this. I'm amazed at how everything just works. Its rock solid, super easy to use, and we have already begun identifying some additions we want to make now that we're using it. It helps that our Control4 Professional installer (Eighteen Group) is top notch, and took the time to get to know our needs in advance. I'm a huge fan of Control4...my days of DIY are well behind me.
