I signed up with Trojan Energy in good faith

I signed up with Trojan Energy in good faith in December 2025, and until the beginning of January, everything was proceeding toward a rough target of, basically, now having my charger installed...

To receive an email a couple of weeks ago saying they've partnered with ConnectedKerb, but don't worry, everything will proceed as planned and then to receive a glib email today saying 'after the acquisition we're pausing home applications' with zero explanation apart from an obtuse comment that 'info will be shared' in May...

What is actually going on? Is the whole thing going to change/fail?

I'll need a very good reason to stick with them....

Masham not working

Drove to Masham today, all 4 charge points in the market place not working showing as out of service on the connected kerb app. Confirms my low expectations of this companies charge points availability...

Never work, really!

So, once again, as screen shots prove*, I wake up to find our car isn't even charging. Dear CK, you need to totally redesign your chargers & business model. The insert & twist mechanism is a faff & impossible for the elderly or gentle to get to work. The UX on your app is terrible & unintuitive. Worst of all, your pricing is too high. It was 30p when you installed the chargers in Worthing, then you put it up to 51p! More than the way faster Tesla Superchargers. Anyway, I'm lived that once again your chargers are not working despite being shown functional in the app before we left the vehicle with Smart Charge switched on.
*It's not letting me attach any.

I had an amazing experience with these…

I had an amazing experience with these chargers, the app was so quick and easy to use, no expensive fee to start the charge, and only cost be £2 to charge for 2 hours! That gave me a full charge bear in mind. Unlike other chargers like BP pulse that would cost triple that amount. I would suggest these chargers to everyone especially to people who are new to electric cars and charging

Thieves

They overcharged me for a 2hr session. They added a fake charge history to my account 3 days after I used a charger. They charged me 3 separate times for this one slow charge. I contacted them immediately. I have been fighting for about a month now and it is still unresolved. They won’t accept my point of view despite camera footage of me arriving/leaving…..

Guys whatever you do if you have an…

Guys whatever you do if you have an electric car do not use this company. I charged my car using the 50kwh fast charge and they took £50 out of my account for a 20 minute charge. After speaking to the lady who works there she told me I would receive a refund within 2-7 working days. I repeat again they take this money without telling you, a big scam to me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!

Kerb Your Enthusiasm

My car never managed to start charging, despite following the app's instructions. If a charger can't recognise when a car is plugged in, that makes it more of an 'Unconnected Kerb.'

Gave up and went to another provider

Gave up and went to another provider. Using the App with a business email meant the "security" number went into spam and before it could be retrieved it timed out. This is the first time I tried to use the charger. In the end I gave up and found one that has a sensible means of use. It wouldn't even let you scan a card. Well done North Yorkshire with your provider and also the cost they charge outside of the mandatory parking fee

I'm very disappointed in this provider…

I'm very disappointed in this provider services as the charging points near my house are most of the time out of order. Some days they work, other days they don't. Today it's been one of the worst days ever since using the charging stations. 6 of the charging points are out of order, another 2 seem to have power, but the app doesn't recognise them. Had to drive further down the road, finally found a charging point that appears available, I've connected my car, and left home. After 2h50m upon checking the charging status, only 0.20kw were charged, therefore went to check, and I've discovered that the charging point was now out of order. How is this possible? Are you disconnecting them remotely, why is this happening? Found another station 10 minutes walk away from my home, decided to drive there, connect the car and walk back home, but guess what? There was no space for my car to park near the charging point. Is 12PM now, and had to return home with my car on low battery. This is the second time having an issue with the station not actually charging, but so many time I had to drive further away to find an available charger.

NEED VAT RECEIPT - AVOID!!

My recent charging expereonce in Ludlow on the weekend of 9-12th May was really positive good overnight charge on two days and lots of charging points.

The mobile app was a bit of a faff and slow BUT overll wants set up it went well.

The challenge however is as a business car user I need a VAT Recipt and obtaining one appear to be a major issue. Given 50-60% of EV are company cars Connected Kerb is halving their potential market. Seems a surprise but heyho.

If you need a VAT Receipt AVOID.
