At Strensham services M5 southbound

At Strensham services M5 southbound. Not enough charge points and it was very frustrating that my first attempt was to find one out of order. The area is quite difficult to park in as it is near a drive through McDonalds.
I’m aware that many people are now buying electric cars. Perhaps an increase in bays is in order.
Once I found a spot all good as normal. App is easy to use and I can relax in the services whilst the car charges.
Cheers Greg.

Used the Gridserve app for the first time. All went extremely well whilst charging and the app gave me real time updates as to the state of my charge. Payment went through easily as I had put a card on my account. Thoroughly recommend.

We used Moto chieveley

We used Moto chieveley, must have hit at the right time as plenty of chargers available, all went well with the charge but price could be better.
It will be good when the new chargers are up and running but I still think it won't be enough to accommodate the amount of electric cars being sold.
Nice site to visit for food and drink and the other essentials.

Mixed experience.

Positives: Several chargers, so one was immediately available. Managed to charge.
Negatives: very expensive. First two attempts to charge failed. Using the other cable seemed to be the trick. Chademo machine was out of order. None of the new chargers support Chademo.

Great network.

Stopped three times on my trip from Cornwall to Suffolk. It's a journey I do 2 or 3 times a year. I always use GRIDSERVE charge points. There's always several available at my stops, they are reliable, rapid and so easy to use. Just plug in and 20 mins later I've added 120 miles of range while grabbing a drink and a snack. I especially love Braintree Electric Highway. It's a great concept.

I use many different locations and Peterborough service are by far the fastest chargers I have used in 4 years of EV ownership

I use many different locations and providers when charging my car, everytime using the Very high power units to charge. All of the providers claim to give a certain speed of charge, but sadly it is very rare to get what is claimed. I have now charged twice at Peterborough services and both times experienced a very high charge speed close to my vehicle maximum capacity.

Dreadful user interface on the charger

Dreadful user interface on the charger. It kept saying "tap card to start" followed by "charging" followed by "tap card to start". Endlessly. Took 10 minutes to deliver 2kwh. As soon as I could unlock the cable I drove off to charge elsewhere.

Manipulative

'Total cost will appear in the payment window' but it didn't. No receipt available, can take 3 days to appear on their system. Rang customer services, psychological warfare gibberish noise blaring on hold for 20 minutes to try and drive you away, then told the change will take 2 weeks to be refunded to my account. 'Standard' apparently.
Whole thing felt like absolutely deliberate low grade manipulation for maximisimg profits and expecting people to swallow it.
Will avoid unless no other choice.

Exeter services is a great place

Charging up at Exeter services is great, plenty of charge points even though it was very busy being easter weekend, but we only had to wait a few minutes for a charge point to become available.
The only downside is it is getting very expensive to charge these days.

The first charger wouldn’t charge

The first charger wouldn’t charge, the charging light on my car was red so I wasn’t certain if it was the car or charger, moved to another charger and it started, while in the services it stopped charging, when I returned tried to start charging again, the cars charging light was red, the charger screen said there was not enough power to charge try later, moved again to one of the new 400kwh charger and it started charging again, however the maximum rate I got was 68 kWh, why have you installed more chargers when you cannot supply the power.
