I received 2 letters this year stating it's time for another Cologard test. My last one was 3 yrs ago. Results were negative. I had a colonoscopy within the past 10 years. Results were negative.... See more

This is the biggest scam
This is the biggest scam. And what is the worst of all, that the healthcare providers fall for it, or maybe they're doing it on purpose to get kickbacks. I've ,tested positive for colon cancer. I haven't slept for 6 months couldn't work thinking that I had it. After the colonoscopy, the doctor was very surprised because I was clean as a whistle, no symptoms of cancer whatsoever. These scammers need to be stopped. I bet there are thousands of people who will sign my petition for a lawsuit against these a...............
My test was positive but I did not…
My test was positive but I did not receive the results for almost 4 months. There is NO excuse for such a delay. I took the test in October 2024. The results were sent to my doctor at the end of February 2025.
Sent in the sample, and they sent it back to us!!
Sent in the sample, following all instructions. My husband had recently done this and received results in timely fashion. Never heard anything about the sample. Contacted company (exactscience). They stated they received sample but didn't analyze it. So we do it again. We received a box, open it up, and find the sample which sent back to them!! That is crazy!! They sent the used sample back to us. How can that possibly happen?? Customer service could not even give us a straight forward answer about this. Extremely dissatisfied!! This seems like medical malpractice!!
Received a false positive
Received a false positive. They claim it only happens 13% of the time but it’s much higher than that. If you do not have a history or any symptoms don’t bother. I can’t wait for the doctor bills to start rolling in for a procedure I did not need thanks to cologuard. It’s a scam. Waist of time and money.
Was shipped a kit without request
Was shipped a kit without request. The Cologuard letter was written to sound like my doctor ordered it. In fact, my doctor did not! I called Colorguard and the customer service rep said to said my doctor ordered it and until I told him that’s not true because my doctor have my current address and the kit was shipped to an old address. Then rep went on to say my insurance company requested the kit, again another lie because my insurance company has my correct address. I asked the rep to remove my information from their database and his response was may I please have you current address. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Stop sending my personal information to the wrong person!!! Very disappointing way to create business. One of the many reasons health insurance in so high!
Scam
Scam. Like a horrid illegal bill collector. (No I don’t have bills that haven’t been paid). I never agreed to give this scam company my personal info. They call, they message, I block them and they use another number and continue to scam you. they send kits. I have gotten at least 5 kits. No mention of cost to do it nor did I agree to give my personal or medical info to them. Avoid this company. Rumor has it your test always comes out positive anyhow. Just to force you to do an invasive test. No thanks. I’m going to have to put a complaint in with the state for hipaa violation and harassment.
My test came back positive
My test came back positive. I had to pay $480 for a second test, which also showed positive. I ended up doing a colonography, and had no issues at all. All that worry for nothing. They even checked all my organs with CT scanning. Totally clean and fine. Beware - can’t be trusted!
Customer service was positively rude
Customer service was positively rude. Hard to understand and kept insisting that I didn’t comprehend what I was doing. Absolutely frustrating. Do not want any more interaction with customer support. 👎👎👎👎
I didn't ask for this and hepa violated
I didn't ask for this and I don't have a Dr.,This means that insurance is giving them my info without my permission. I wouldn't touch anything in there. It's sketchy as hell if you ask me. Maybe the insurance company will make an offer to let this go but they can't give out my info to anyone.. busted.,.. greedy like every other part of this med system. Send my check to same address that you sold to cologuard and God only knows who else you are selling info to ..shame on you... What good is it to gain the world but lose your soul?
Cologuard inundates you with messages…
Cologuard inundates you with messages asking if you want a kit and provides now way to say no. The only option is to mark yes. Then thy continue to send mail, email and messages reminding you to do something you are not going to do. They provide no way to communicate with them to turn off this aggressive set of communications. This is a horribly run company from a consumer perspective only interested in sending out kits so they get paid.
What a joke!
What a joke!! Don't waste your time. I received my kit one year later after it was ordered.
Lololol....
I would give this a -10 if I could
I would give this a -10 if I could. This service is EXTREMELY expensive. I regular fecal test should cost about $40, maybe less. I got a bill for $681.00 for a simple regular basic test!! What?
Don't waste your time and money
Don't waste your time and money, just makes you worry with all the false positives
Trying to up the price
Paid for a kit online for$599, it never came so I called a week later to find out where my kit was and they wanted to charge me $700 at that point saying it was only $599 if I paid online. Which I did. Then an hour later got an AI call that was annoying as Hell! Not cool at all. Always thought they were more professional then that.
Cologuard has the worst customer…
Cologuard has the worst customer service. I called to cancel an order because my provider didn't include the full address. The person who was chatted with me was rude, she didn't change the address and didn't cancel the order. My provider requested to cancel the order and they sent notification that box is ready for UPS pick up. This company is the worst.
Cologuard Experience - Honest Review
Cologuard Experience – My Honest Review
My experience with Cologuard was disappointing.
After receiving the test kit, I waited a couple of weeks before completing it. During that time, I received multiple emails, phone calls, and even mailed letters reminding me to send the kit back. The volume felt excessive and more like a pressure campaign than patient support.
Even after I returned the kit and received confirmation that it had been delivered, I received a follow-up call asking whether I had sent it. That added to the sense of disorganization and high-pressure communication.
When my results were available, I received an email directing me to a portal. The results page simply stated:
“Value: Positive”
“Normal: Negative”
Followed by a brief instruction recommending a colonoscopy.
There was no context, no explanation of what a positive result statistically means, and no clarification that false positives are not uncommon with this type of screening. The presentation was minimal and impersonal.
Several weeks later, I received a registered letter reiterating the result. By that point, I had already undergone a colonoscopy — which was completely normal.
The positive result caused significant stress and led me to spend days researching the test’s accuracy and false positive rates. In hindsight, I would have preferred to skip the stool test entirely and proceed directly to colonoscopy.
While screening has value, I believe patients deserve clearer communication about:
the likelihood of false positives
what “positive” actually means
and what to expect next
For me, the experience felt more transactional than supportive.
Just terrible
Just terrible, signed up for plus but got basic, many calls to incompetent untrained staff placing me on hold for 40 minutes to speak to a @ team leader “ still without answers.
A really bad company.
A lot of paper & plastic for this…
A lot of paper & plastic for this "expensive" test. Could have been done in a DR office much easier. Guessing Cologuard has a group of lobbyist that got the insurance companies to push this.
Unreliable test that's aggressively marketed
No disclosure to me by Cologuard of the cost of the test or its unreliability when I agreed to do it after my doctor prescribed it. After being blitzes with texts from Cologuard saying I had to complete it, I completed it. I immediately thought better of it after reading about its false positives and called the Cologuard customer service line. First two calls went to what appeared to be an offshore center. Third was answered by a rep with good English and aggressive attitude who said my doctor could try to cancel the test but it might not be possible.
Cologuard gave me a false positive for…
Cologuard gave me a false positive for cancer. I went ahead and did the Colonoscopy which was completely negative. 2 days later I start bleeding internally - had to be hospitalized - and now have over $3500 in bills all because of their inaccurate test! I NEVER would have had the Colonoscopy if the test had been correctly identified as negative.
