A bad and anti-Semitic company, they don't respect people, they keep your money and urinate on you with a bow, they are even worse than that, it's as if companies won't survive at all.

Horrible Client Service
Coinsquare does not make anything easy. Buried in the documentation on their website they state that FTM tokens are ERC-20s. This information is not provided at the pertinent times. Neither on purchasing the FTM nor withdrawing it did they alert me that their FTM tokens exist on the Ethereum chain. As I result, I attempted to withdraw to a Fantom chain address and lost all the tokens.
For a large-cap layer one, it is reasonable for a client to assume that a token exists on its own mainnet. Burying this information is completely unhelpful. Sure, I could have read their website documents in detail, but I expect to be prompted about an L1 token existing on another chain before I buy it. That’s not hard. That’s good client service.
Losing all the token was just the beginning. After I explained that simply refunding me (merely $35) would retain me as a client, Coinsquare’s support team passed the baton on and on and on, and no one helped in the end. The amount of transaction fees they would have earned from me long-term would have dwarfed the $35 lost in my test transaction, but Coinsquare was too shortsighted and unwilling to make any meaningful attempt to retain me as a client.
Crypto exchanges are not known for their client support, but this was ridiculously bad. They won’t survive amongst the exchange competition in Canada.
Holding my investment hostage…
This company is holding my investment hostage. I bought $47,000 worth of digital coin that I’m now wanting to move to a wallet. They require a ID verification. Fine makes sense. They keep denying my appliCation telling me first that my passport is expired when it isn’t. Then telling me they have no record of submitting a passport. Awful service. Not trustworthy. Not accountable. For having so much money in their platform I am shocked and disgusted.
I’ll give it one star because there is…
I’ll give it one star because there is no zero stars. God I wish I would’ve read these reviews before I went and invested with these people. After stealing $1200 of my money I had $300 left. Impossible to withdraw. They make it so easy to take your money, but impossible to take your money back. They send text messages back to you two or three hours after you have tried to contact them. They know that you’re not going to be able to answer or watching for them to message you. They say the same thing over and over again. You cannot remove your money once it’s here with this company. I don’t know how but someone Has to stop them from being in business. If you are reading this be smart, do not invest with this company. I suspect it is run by two or three people, and they are running, laughing all the way to the bank with everyone’s money.
So fast easy
So fast easy, simple from the mobile app, just perfect. finally got my self some btc and cardano. it took me total of 13-15 minutes.
Good, until something goes wrong
Coinsquare is possibly the best choice of Canadian crypto exchanges, and I've had no problems with them ... until now.
When things don't go as expected, this company is a disaster. Customer service seems to be limited to copy and paste, and when your concern falls outside their boilerplate responses they just don't respond. They answer their phone with voicemail, so again, are pretty much unreachable.
They say they restricted withdrawals on my account because I had not enabled 2-factor authentication. The remedy for this is apparently to enable 2FA and then onboard with Onfido, a digital identity service. Unfortunately, the latter requires both a smartphone and a mobile number, and I have neither - although I probably would not give my biometrics to a third party anyway, especially a digital ID company.
This current situation came about when I sent a small etransfer to fund my account, bought some LTC, and initiated a withdrawal to my own wallet - something I have done numerous times before. The withdrawal was rejected, then withdrawals were disabled, to "protect" my account.
First I was told that the Finance team had reviewed and rejected my withdrawal. Later I was told that withdrawals had been automatically disabled because 2FA was not enabled. But withdrawals were not disabled when I initiated the withdrawal, so there is clearly some dishonesty here.
It seems like they may be doing this to convert their customer base to digital ID by stealth. Maybe not, but there's definitely something shady going on here. Their claim is that Onfido biometric verification is needed to ensure that I am the one who enabled 2FA, but this could easily be determined from my browser fingerprint (which they record) and IP address, which they presumably log.
This company seems to have zero respect for customers and practically non-existent customer service.
Same problem with me I deposited
Same problem with me I deposited. Around $3000.after that I trade I won most trades.after that my wallet balance around 22k usdt. Complete fraud just like coinjar.com
Complete fraud, don't transfer any money or believe any online acquaintances who who say they use it and made money and that have never had issues..its a complete and split scam originating from coinjar.com, Unfortunately all my money is lost in coinjar.com & coinsquare.com Both websites/ apps are holding in my money ransome which is about 50k$ plus. Last they told me that I need to pay an unfreezing fee for withdrawal and as my last attempt after paying the fee they scammed me again saying i need to pay taxes again in 1 single payment cause they cannot find my previous payments, this is like the 5th or 6th hoop they are makeing me pay, im hoping someone reading this learns from my mistakes, sometimes a loss is a loss, dont be greedy like i was, u'd just be digging your grave deeper and deeper. Ive got chat screen shots of conversations with customer service if it may be useful for anyone.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever, too bad I didn't read the reviews earlier, sent a deposit of $2000 and after verifying with selfie, ID, everything they still froze my account saying" I've checked your account and see that our Security Team is currently conducting a review.
At this time, I do not have information about the length of the review, however, a member of our team will be in touch with you as soon as the review has been completed!
Your continued patience is much appreciated!"
Do not even sign up to test at Coinsquare RUN
Run while you still can!!!
Investing using coinsquare is as secure as putting a bag of money in the middle of street and hoping nobody takes it. My assets were all transferred out and disappeared. Coinsquare said not our problem and that was that. Anyone hoping to be reimbursed for their stolen money is wasting hope.
Terrible experience. Never again.
Absolutely 💯 awful
Absolutely 💯 awful. It won't let me claim my account. I cant log in . I've changed my password but when I try to proceed it says failed to fetch. Thank God I don't have a great deal of crypto but never the less it is mine and I want my money.
Who knows what will be next with these…
Who knows what will be next with these guys.
It's always something.
I’d give zero stars if I could
I’d give zero stars if I could. I held Bitcoin with Mogo, but they decided to stop trading Bitcoin and advised me to move my investment to Coinsquare. I was not given much time. A little over a month. Coinsquare refuses to accept my government issued BCID card to create an account. I told them I have nothing else. It’s legit id. He said he would talk to a supervisor. So their rules can be bent, maybe? But what about when I want to withdraw? I sold my Bitcoin at a loss because I am not leaving my money with a company that can’t even be trusted to know what a government issued provincial id card is.
Better avoid and use others
I made an account with Coinsquare because I see that they are from Canada.
I verified my phone, ID's selfie, deposited funds and after waiting 72 hours(some security to withdraw your BTC to your own wallet) when I tried to withdraw BTC into my wallet they said I need to verify myself again.
I did that again.
Contacted support again.
Received another response that I need to wait for the security team since they are reviewing my account.
So a week later, no funds received yet,I only want my REFUND via eTransfer back.
Don't want to say that I bought BTC and earned $140 in 2 days(maybe this is the reason)
Coinsquare shutting down
I am trying to withdraw for almost a month and have not received a code confirmation email. I reached their support with no positive help. They just say check your junk folder, change your email etc.
I am really frustrated with their support.
My accountant was taken over from…
My accountant was taken over from someone who could change my email and 2FA, seemingly form the inside. Consolidated all my crypto into bitcoin then withdrew. I contacted them and “Manny” got back to me, saying they would have security contact me. 2 weeks later and much prompting from my end, nothing from security and no offers to help or find resolution. I even stated that their actions are not that of a reputable company or platform. Not reputable or honest company. DO NOT USE!!!!
June 15, 2022
They still have not responded and deleted our chat. I’ve contacted again, see what they say now
Just they are putting restrictions on…
Just they are putting restrictions on my withdrawls for no reason ,i got my money blocked for almost a month and their support keep on telling me that the process from a review from security team is being handled with no time when will be done !
That's awfool
