Overcharging Mechanics
I hired a mechanic on Clickmechanic's website to replace two tyres that had blown. Clikmechanic preauthorised my card, which I thought would be for the amount quoted. However, after the job was done,the mechanic overcharged me for the job. I spent a month trying to resolve this and Clickmechanic were very unhelpful saying I needed to get a refund through the mechanic even though payment was collected through ClickMechanic platform and they had preauthorised my card. I did eventually get some money back but it was £24.16 short of what it should have been.

• Mechanics on the platform are independent and manage their own work and warranties
