Terrible Service

This company has terrible service and customer service. We are a school and have not had our sanitary bins emptied since July 2025 and we have paid for them to be emptied every 2 weeks a year in advance. Have rang 3 times this week and escalated as a complaint and still not had a date for when they can come in and empty our overflowing bins! Can't get hold of anyone but customer service team who can do nothing because they are waiting for the operations team to come back to them. Use another company.

Very poor service and communication

I've been trying to use sharps removal services from this company. I had a contract from last year, and they haven't managed to any yellow containers yet. Currently, I've got 2 to be removed, and they already sending me the next invoice. The driver's will come unexpected, and communication is really poor. They should message, text or call us in advance before coming, so we now the collection is happening, but there's no notice at all.

Paige Williams - What an asset to your company

Paige visits us each Friday with a smile on her face and is outstanding at her job. Paige is fast paced and always professional on her visits. As a school, the office staff and other staff have gotten to know Paige's face and we are always happy to see her each week! Paige is a dedicated member of your staff and is credit to your company.

Andy Skinner - a credit to your company!

We would just like to mention how brilliant Andy Skinner is! He is always lovely when he comes anyway but today he went above and beyond for us, helping us out with an issue with a huge pallet delivery that was blocking our entrance way. We were struggling and he stepped up and helped us without hesitation. We can't thank him enough and he deserves some recognition. He is a credit to your company.

Citron have perfected the art of dishonesty

Citron have perfected the art of dishonesty and deception. They deliberately lock customers in to contracts and make it as difficult as possible to change those contracts. Their requirement to give 90 days notice before the contract end to be allowed to make changes is completely unacceptable. They massively overcharge compared to their competitors and have absolutely no conscience about doing so. Best practice revolves around making certain that customers needs are met and contract reviews allow maximum flexibility. Citron cares only about what is best for Citron and not at all for their customers.

This company Citron Hygiene used to be…

This company Citron Hygiene used to be good, but not any more. I contacted them in August 2024 and asked them to perform a simple task. They were tasked to collect 3 sharps bins from a clinic in Hertfordshire and replace the full bins with new ones. So I completed their online application form sent it to them, didn't hear anything from them. I contacted them again spoke to a very nice man on the phone said they had lost the contract form, I filled it in again, again nothing happened. There was numerous phone calls and email exchanges between me and the practice manager at the clinic, and Citron Hygiene in which we tried to explain what we wanted, every conversation became ever more complicated and nothing was done. Fast forward to November eventually we got a date for the collection, they sent confirmation of the address they were going to pick up the bins date and time etc. But they didn't turn up, because they went to a completely different address. Then I called them and asked to speak to a Manager, I was told that the 'manager' was on the other line and she would call me back. Needless to say no one called. I called a second time to speak to a manager, this time they were having their lunch. I asked who the CEO is and how can I contact them, the guy on the phone didn't know who the CEO is and did'nt have any contact details. I never got to speak to a manager, but I got an email from the person who was 'dealing with the case that she had now got the address and the bins will be collected. I signed an online letter and they sent confirmation. Result!! . Except today I got a phone call from a man who said he was on his way to collect the bins. But when I asked him to confirm the address, it was the wrong address again. I then spent the next ten minutes trying to get I'm to understand that they have given him the wrong address. This has been going on for three months. I received no call back from their Managers, absolutely nothing. Words fail me at this point, the incompetence of this organisation is beyond belief.
So if there is a CEO, or any kind of senior Manager reading this. You might want to think very carefully about how your company is run because unless you change I cant see you being in business much longer.

Useless

Contracted for 8 visits a year - only had 2 in 2023 and 2 in 2024. spoke to 6/7 representatives over the last year nothing happened with resolving the visits. They just demanded payments.

Today I spoke with a representative about how much we owed and if we could get the service back on track. He said we owed 383.77 for 4 visits which I clearly queried, this seemed to upset. him and he said he would look into it. 5 minutes later he phoned me to say we owed 144.00 and that he would then be terminating the contract. Appalling customer service and incompetent service team - don't go with this useless company

Since we take our service record very seriously, and we were unable to meet the needs of your organisation, the decision was made to mutually end the contract, only charging for those services which were completed.

Kyle Simpson - an asset to Citron Hygiene

Not too sure about the company as I m guessing everyone has the same contract to do certain jobs but Kyle Simpson from Citron Hygiene comes and do our sanitary bins and mats on our site. He always turns up on his days, we never have to chase. He has got attention to detail, he always feedbacks on anything needs improving or communicating with colleagues on site. He is also very cooperative and supportive person with great work ethics. Great asset to the company!

Shocking service from Citron Hygiene…

Shocking service from Citron Hygiene today. We have a six week collection for sanitary bins at a large high school. These are now overflowing and called today to say they were late to collect only to be told they won’t be collected till mid February. Apparently they had tried to collect them on the 29th December when the school was shut which was 5 weeks since the last collection. Apparently this is our fault for not telling them we were closed like every other school in England on the 29th December and not theirs for calling a week early.
If they had adhere to the six weeks collection and turned up as expected in the first week of new year there wouldn’t be a problem. Absolutely shocking service and just one more issue from this company. Avoid at all costs.
