Citizen Café Academy is the best way to learn to speak and understand Hebrew. I have had 4 semesters so far and I really love it! All of the teachers I've had are excellent. They help you learn to have conversations and teach the correct pronunciation. I plan to continue learning with Citizen Café Academy. I highly recommend them.

I’m so glad that I signed up with Citizen Café, now well into my second year. It has been a great experience, and one in the true spirit of Tel Aviv, with the loveliest and most engaged teachers one can imagine. Their teaching method is uniquely effective. And you’ll have a good time with committed, interesting and lovely people.

LOVE the Citizen Café method. It's a relaxed & feel good experience where you DO absorb the language better. Even if it's 'only' twice a week for zooms of an hour and a half (well there IS the possibility to do practice zoom-sessions in addition to that, but I never find the time), they've developed a challenging and stressless 'homework that's not homework' website with flashcards etc. I feel all this PLUS the enthousiasm and encouragement of the teachers are a positive experience. I would recommend it! The method of making your MOUTH make your brain remember, instead of vice versa, is very effective if you can just trust the process! I find that, even if sometimes DURING a semester I feel that I haven't been able to easily spew out all the new material, sometimes two semesters later, all those words and verbs DO flow from my lips 'rak kacha'.

Their method works. Their teachers are superb. I tried to learn Hebrew before, but had withdrawn. This time I was again overwhelmed by the class and stopped after 6 weeks. I thought I might be too old to learn. But on a trip to Israel, I visited their Tel Aviv office and asked for an honest conversation with their teachers. My first teacher had noticed that I was focused on reading and writing, not hearing and listening and repeating out loud. I was embarrassed by my mistakes. I'm taking the Red level again and loving it. I've been accepted into the next higher level. My method: (a) I listen to the Recordings; (b) Do the homework assignments; (c) Attend the invaluable Practice Sessions. I am so grateful to all of you. Am Yisrael Chai.

The experience of active learning and communication is superb. The community of students and instructors are highly customized. As a student you face your challenges and hear the improvement through dynamic interaction with your class and staying in touch with Israeli culture through spoken Hebrew.

The Best ! Having studied Hebrew, unsuccessfully, in different venues and methods over the last several decades CC has been the Best, most productive, and fun. The Teachers are amazing, full of energy, joy and supportive, and Ive made new friends all over the world with my fellow classmates. Run, don’t walk to sign up for the next semester!

I've been studying with CCTA for two years now and 5 different semesters. On my first trip to Israel after only one month of studying, I was able to understand so many words, which made me feel so good. Every trip back to Israel, I understand more and speak more with confidence. Each teacher has a lot of experience, knowledge, support and charisma. I really enjoy meeting students from all over the world and sharing our connections to Israel together.

Citizen Cafe is absolutely my favorite Hebrew course out there! I started in 2022 and still going! I’ve noticed my hebrew improved so much even in the first semester! Now I’m on my 9th and keep improving! I feel a lot comfortable speaking and understanding Hebrew now and cannot thank enough to Citizen Cafe for an amazing classes! Their method is the best and fun!

About two years ago, I decided that I wanted to improve my ability to speak Hebrew. I was a little better than just a beginning level. So I tried a couple of apps like Duolingo. But they didn’t really help that much. They weren’t bad but they just didn’t help that much. It wasn’t like talking to a person and experiencing conversational Hebrew. So I decided to try the introductory lesson with one of citizen, cafés teachers. I was impressed so I thought I’ll give it a try for at least one semester and see how it goes. I’ve been a student at citizen café ever since. I love the structure of the Classes. Our teachers have all been really wonderful and they work very diligently at creating a community of sharing and safety for learning Hebrew. It’s OK to make mistakes. In fact, they encourage you to just speak because that’s the way you learn the best. I feel like I’ve gained more than just an improvement of my Hebrew speaking abilities from being at citizen Café. I’ve made a lot of friends fellow students in the class and the teachers. It is sort of like you’re going to a coffee house and just schmoozing it to learn Hebrew. You also get immersed in Israeli culture and current modern Hebrew. Plus, they have added value discussions in English that aren’t part of class that you can attend if you want. They call them circles and they are on a variety of topics. I have found them extremely interesting and educational. So if you want to learn Hebrew, I would highly recommend Citizen Café.

I just wanted to share how much I’m enjoying my experience with Citizen Café. Everything has been amazing. I really love the style and the flow of the classes, and the teacher is incredible.

What stands out the most is the level of support. The extra practice options, especially Practice To Go, make a huge difference. The group dynamic is also great. There’s a real sense of camaraderie, and the practice groups make learning feel natural and consistent.

Overall, it’s been such a positive experience. I would absolutely recommend it 10 out of 10.

I am now in my third class of Hebrew learning and I can not stop at being delighted by my progress while enjoying every lesson! The method is smart, well thought, modern and… fun!

I am incredibly inspired by and satisfied with Citizens Cafe. The classes are fun and engaging and involve many opportunities for conversational Hebrew . The practice sessions offer tremendous help putting the vocabulary and verb conjugations into action.
I so recommend this structured approach to learning Hebrew. They offer so much support and the collateral benefit is conversing with people all over the world!

The method of teaching is amazing. I have had a great experiences and Citizen Cafe make studying Hebrew very enjoyable. I think the practice groups are great. You can jump into these groups at no extra cost.

The teachers are very hands on and understanding. I was finding difficult to keep up due to personal things going on in my life. I reached out to my teacher Chen Bermanis she was amazing.

She really understood and she got me into a class that suited me very quickly (a couple of hours) and at no extra cost. It was smoothly done nothing was a problem. I really felt I was being looked after. My other teacher Sahar Axel Pearlman was also amazing.

I really recommend Citizen Cafe without hesitation, it’s brilliant.

I’m on my third course with Citizen Cafe because these guys are so great! My Hebrew is really improving, grammar and vocabulary finally stick, almost effortlessly, after I tried different methods before without much success. You’ll be learning everyday spoken Hebrew in a fun and friendly learning environment with people from all over the world and make new friends. The support is great, lots practice sessions you can attend in your time zones and all course material is available online for you to review

I've been struggling to learn Hebrew for years and never found a proper method that suited me... Until today ! I've been going to Isreal for the last 30 years and took bits and pieces from here and there but I never really got into talking and this is what i was looking for the most. For this, Citizen Cafe is a perfect fit. I've only been following courses for a few weeks and I'm already using solid foundations that give me confidence I'll be at easy with the langage very soon. The courses are backed with additional rehearse sessions and I can also rely on training on the go, courses recordings and supplemental exercises to perfect my use of the langage. Best way to approach the learning experience as you learn, talk, practice and remember in a very trustworthy and reassuring environment. I highly recommand it !

My week is brighter knowing I get to learn Hebrew with Citzen Cafe. The teachers are professional, friendly and encouraging. Learning Hebrew seems to happen with a successful method.

You really get bang for your buck at this Hebrew language school- in addition to the twice weekly 1.5 hour long lessons, you can also log onto practice sessions almost daily for an hour and get even more practice! It also does it in a fun way and means that it is never boring!

Citizens Cafe is the perfect way to learn Hebrew. They give you the tools to help you and the instructors are all amazing. I highly recommend this to anybody that wants to learn Hebrew..

I've completed 1 semester and I'm half way through my second semester with Citizen's cafe and I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend to anyone looking to learn conversational Hebrew. The teachers are amazing, they make class fun and casual ensuring students feel comfortable to speak and make mistakes, and I feel that they truly care about your development. My Hebrew has drastically improved already and I'm looking forward to learning more in the classes.
