The crew was always on time and very friendly and helpful. They did above and beyond to make me happy and they are very reasonable. I highly recommend this company!

I hired CertaPro painters of Morristown NJ for my outside house painting in June 2023. In the contract they were suppose to do the prep work, sanding and caulking before the paint job. They didn't do any of those things only the paint job, now the paint is peeling. I made a compaint to the owner Mr Richard Webber and he didn't even bother to look at the Unsatisfied work that his company did. Even though I was not happy with the work that CertaPro did, I paid the final payment the day they finished the job in June 2023. They lost that check (Final payment from June). The owner call me on OCT 23 2023 and told me to give another check since they lost the first one, I gave another check and confirmed with the owner in Oct. 2023. He send me a text saying that he received the check and cashed it in Oct. 2023. I thought everything was done but Richard Webber filed a case against me on Dec 20, 2023 stating that I did not make the final payment. I have proof from texts and bank statements that stated I paid the final amount TWICE and Richard even texted me and said he cashed the check. BE CAREFUL with CertaPro painters of MORRISTOWN NJ and the owner Mr Richard Webber. They did a very bad job in painting and they do a terrible job in handling the money. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

started work around noon both days. then attempted to paint exterior after dark. i asked them to stop and start again the next day.2nd day,started late.i couldnt view the work as it was dark.scheduled 3 times to return (3rd time)to review work. either didnt show or was very late.finally came out to review/finish.i was frustrated that almost 2 weeks had gone by and mistakes were finally getting handled.paid them,wanted it over and done. cleaning my gutters a few days ago,more paint on siding i couldnt see previous,didnt replace all of the screws on my downspouts.damaged vinyl siding.very tardy,sloppy work

Certapro just completed our painting project.They finished 3 rooms in 1.5 days.This company in Syracuse NY is excellent. The workers were on time and polite.They cleaned up everthing after and put back all the items that were moved/I would highly recommend Certapro painters

If you like constant excuses and issues this is the company for you! By the end of our project with them, we decided it was best for us to try to hire someone else or fix all the issues they left behind ourselves. We just didn't want to deal with Jason anymore.

They never answer the phone. Always late. They are busy at “other jobs”. My $13,000 job was not good enough. Lied repeatedly. Painting was done less than a year ago and paint is peeling off doors. It eas peeling the week after they left. They never cleaned paint off door brass. I had to call over and over for them to come back to complete job. When they did come back, they were rude to me and complained to me about having to come back. I’ve owned my home for 32 years, I’ve worked with many different contractors. All were good or excellent. CertaPro was awful to deal with. Took my money and lied.

I PAID THIS COMPANY $4000! I ASKED SPECIFICALLY IF THEY WERE GOING TO DO CERTAIN THINGS & COLIN SAID YES! HE TOTALLY LIED & DID NONE OF IT! THEY PAINTED OVER MY FAUCET WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW! I'M DISABLED! MY FAUCET WON'T WORK! I ASKED THEM TO FIX IT! THEY IGNORED ME! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! TOTALLY DISHONEST!!

We hired CertaPro of Hunterdon County, NJ to paint several rooms in November 2022. The job included removing wallpaper from 2 bathrooms, and then painting the wall. For the most part, the painting was well done. No complaints. However, one bathroom, where the wallpaper was removed, the paint started to peel away from the wall in several places within a few days. We reached out to CertaPro of Hunterdon County to explain the problem with the hope they would come back out and fix the problem. It took several attempt to get a response, but finally they responded. After checking out the paint job, they scheduled someone to come back out to fix. When he was done, within 2 days, the paint was peeling off the wall again, only this time it was worse. I called them back to tell them what had happened, and they refused to come back to fix the problem and stopped returning calls. I still needed the problem fixed, so i called another painter. His assessment was that the glue from the wallpaper was not correctly removed and that an oil-based primer was necessary before painting the walls. He said the glue literally eats away at the paint. The bathroom was then properly primed and painted and the peeling of the paint has not re-occurred. Stay away from this CertaPro franchise for the reason their salesperson and owner displayed awful customer service. What a huge disappointment. Don't make the same mistake.

Just had them finish painting a 2 bedroom house. The 1st day of the job, 4 painters showed up @ 8:00AM. We were pleased with their progress. T-W-Th-F, showed up @ 7:30AM. Those days only 2 men showed up each day. Because there were only 2 men (different men each day - all subcontractors) they ended up working until 6:00PM. The lack of workers caused the job to last 1 week (thankfully it's a small 2 bedroom house in a 55+ development - I hate to think how long it would take to do a 4-5 bedroom house). Also, the paint job wasn't that great, they tore off the toilet paper holder & towel rack in one bathroom, & removed picture hangers where we wanted pictures rehung (we were purposely told to leave them in place). Since we made sure that one of us was always here with them, we spent alot of time just sitting around for 5 days! I will never use them again & will never recommend them to anyone!! Even though subcontractors did the work, I totally blame Certa for not having enough workers on board & not keeping tabs on the quality of work & never talking to us during the process. However, you better believe that they sent an email with our final bill before the painters left on the last day. M. MacDonald - Wilmington, DE

They did a good job on painting our offices on our building. The communication was not too good since the guys didn't speak much english and I was not arround to help but overall did a good job.

I called to see if Certa Pro did wallpaper installation. They put me on hold. Came back ans said yes. I scheduled an appointment. An hour before the estimatator called and said they don't do wallpaper. Wasted my time.

This company does not do a good job. The painters broke with the lift machine some building exterior side walker that were fix brand new like 4 month prior for the 40 years inspection. Also paint is starting to lift up. Poor quality or not properly painted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Ruben and his crew were on time and were great to work with. Ruben worked with me to make sure all the house trim work was finished just how I had envisioned. CertraPro had 3 painters on our job so it went really fast.

We built a brand new nice home in a 55+ neighborhood in GoodyearAZ. We desired to paint the interior a color other than stark white. CertaPro put flyers in mailboxes, so we called for a quote. Chris Stilwell, Residential Sales Associate of CertaPro Painters of the West Valley, Phoenix area showed up. We told him exactly what was to be painted, and he gave us a quote. I expressed my concern about quality and cleanliness, asking specifically that they wash brushes outside and not in house. Chris assured me over and over that they were very careful and clean, using drop clothes, etc. We were not home when the job was to be done so as not to be overwhelmed by smell, so emailed specific instructions on where the crew could find entry key, etc. First day to start, crew said they couldn't find the key, so already a day delay, which messed up the plan to be gone while painting was to be done. Second day, they emailed they were done and sent invoice! We returned home to find they only painted 1/2 of required job. We were home now, so not ideal to finish job now. Called Chris and he said they'd come back to finish in a few days. Everything was filthy. Paint all over everything. Evidence they washed brushes in our bathtub! Crew (hired by CertaPro, but independent from CertaPro) didn't speak English and came back same day because they were already" in the neighborhood." Good for them, but not for us as moving van was moving our stuff that same day, too. They painted anyway without prior notice or permission for that day. Lots of chaos with movers moving our stuff and also painters painting.. Crew wore dirty big painters' boots with mud/dirt all over. Everything speckled w paint spray!! They touched everything with dirty, painted hands.. marks on floor, dirt on carpet, appliances, towel bars, etc. Hard to see in pic's but there. I just had finished cleaning up their first mess! The disrespected our beautiful, brand-new house. We were missing some door stops they had removed.. had to purchase new ones. There still is paint on wall switches and plug-ins.. can't remove it. Evident they just wanted to finish fast and go home. They tried to turn AC up, so paint fingerprints all over face of thermostat. WOULD NEVER HIRE CERTAPRO PAINTERS AGAIN! Very disappointed in salesman, too. Emailed him but no reply second time.

Well, all I can do is add my story to the mix. We're in Portland, OR. We hired CertaPro of Southwest Portland which no longer exists. In our case their bid came in $10K less than the other two (you heard right) and the owner I talked to was helpful and prompt, so how could we say no? They also did not leave any messes. However, it seems from what people say that they subcontract their work out and you have no control over whom you get. I was flabbergasted to realize they were doing no prep at all. There was just one guy, and all he did was pressure wash the house and slather caulk over it before a couple of others came over to paint. They relied on the good paint quality to minimize the fact that they had not actually removed any of the old paint. I would not recommend them.

Certapro did a great job in all aspects of the project. Greg gave us a detailed estimate with pictures, defined scope of work, project schedule and. A quick turnover to project management. Elizabeth came out and worked with us on colors and selection of sheens. Rafael and his crew were fantastic with carpentry work, special consideration for landscaping and every morning started the day with a 10 minute meeting
Job took 3 days and they did a fantastic job. Can’t tell you how many compliments we have had by neighbors and friends.
They left our home in beautiful condition and clean everything up. They are truly the best

I want to start by saying this review is for the Newport News franchise. Our experience started well; we had a reasonable estimate, and the services were delivered promptly. Our painting crew consisted of three people who could not speak English. The fourth's English was bad enough that I thought she said lighter when she asked to borrow our ladder. They did an adequate job and finished on time. However, they used our cleaning supplies and did a horrendous job. My wife and I spent two hours cleaning after they left. I also spent two hours touching up the spots they missed.

I highly suggest if you're in the Kingston, NY area to not use this franchise. Although the salesman who gave me an estimate was fantastic, the two man crew they contracted out to paint my 1700 square foot home was awful. I'm not usually a review writer but this company needs to screen their painters more thoroughly. This two man crew spent only 2-3 hours working on my house every few days over the course of 3 weeks. I had to call and complain eventually about the drawn out process with their supplies and equipment sprawled in my driveway for the entire time and a half painted house. They didn't scrape anything and the paint job was sprayed over my peeling garage door. I had to redo it myself, after paying $5000 for this job (exterior and garage door, not including window frames). There was a lot of messy paint sprays on my WINDOWS, my porch, ect when they were done. They absolutely did not approach this correctly- no tape or drop cloth/plastic, just their spray guns. Meanwhile, tons of cigarette butts on my property from them. A year later, the paint was peeling. And although they came to touch up, a few months later it was peeling again. They admitted to me that since they painted around a wet time in October, the paint isn't adhering correctly. But why didn't they explain that to me then and suggest a different time? Never again!
