Sprayed paint all over our cars
I cannot attest to the quality of the work - but based on my experience of my neighbor using them - I will definitely never do so. My neighbor was getting his cabinets painted, and they set up outside in the front yard with only a tarp on the ground. There was a slight breeze and we came outside to find them spraying paint and all of it was going all over our cars. So based on their lack of awareness - I’m not too confident in the quality of their work.
Do not use Certa pro painters in GA
Do not use Certa pro painters in GA, I had them paint my home, smear my brick and repair trim and siding that was damaged in a few spots, I also had them replace/rebuild 3 out of my 8 columns on my front porch, the painting on the siding was good but the trim painting was bad, the painting of my front porch was terrible, they missed so many areas and the carpentry work on my columns was horrible, the guy doing the carpentry work even told me he was not a carpenter, the boards were to short, he reused 25 year old trim instead of replacing it like I paid for, the never replaced have of what the quoted me for, not sure what types of wood the used on the columns cause the paint bubbles up, they look worse than the originals, it took them over 2 weeks, when they came back to try and fix it they just scrapped it off and touch painted it and that stood out. I made a complaint and they sent a different crew out, (this is a year later) and they did the same thing, just scrapped off the old paint but at least they repainted the entire column so it matched, and repaired some of the rotted wood on the back of the home, but to this day that column still has bubbles paint all over it, my windows were poorly painted and painted shut, they didn't scrap the overspray off the glass, I could go on and on, don't let them paint your home, the estimator looks very professional with a company vehicle but the actual painters are just local meth heads that leave oil stains on the street in front of your home. and this was almost a 10k paint job.
This is for Certapro Nashville
This is for Certapro Nashville: Do not use this company. I have been waiting since November 2024 for the front of my house to be painted. This house has been painted previously. They also market themselves as painting commercial buildings. After much phoning/emailing with Ashleigh and Max Watson, sales person, to the point I reached out to the owner, Dylan, to request a refund. No contact from him but I was able to get a date for May 5, 2025, to get my house painted. I was traveling on this day but returned that night to no house painted. No contact on the day to say why. On reaching out yet again on May 6 requesting a refund, they had no idea the job had not been completed. The front office staff spoke to the owner (who has never spoken to me directly), they will process a refund but will be delays so I am told. At the time of writing this I am waiting for a refund. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

I'm a former employee of the certa pro in Bloomington, IL 61704. I was only on the job for approximately one month when I encountered a job where a child was known to have gotten lead poisoning. The company did not provide any safety equipment and they told me I wouldn't need it because I wouldn't be in the house long enough to contact poisoning. 10 days later I was in the hospital with severe lead poisoning and needed to be off of work for 2 months. Mike wheeler the production associate ommunicated with the JSS that he was not to say anything to me about what they provided as I was told months later. The day I received a settlement check from work comp Mike called me to fire me but said he would let me know the following day. When he called back he "laid me off". I messaged the owner (Mark) about unemployment and he will not even respond to me. I called the corporate office and they said to report to the BBB which I will be doing. The guys that do the painting are great but management does not care about anything but their bonus checks. Was told by Mike we were the reason he didn't get his end of the year $8,000 bonus when the only complaints we ever had were about management. Do your research before hiring someone with a reputation like this. You'll know if you ever have a disagreement with Mike because he will scream at anyone he feels doesn't further his agenda.
They were unprofessional
They were unprofessional. They didn't do prep work very well. No wood fillers or wall filers. They used pressure hoses but did not do much other than form a puddle of water in my living room. They painted over dirt and cracked hanging paint chips. No wood fillers or wall filers. They said they would come back to do touch ups but kept making excuses and never did. Workers crumbled up taping paper and just threw it on my property for me to clean up.
Had owner of local CertaPro come over
Had owner of local CertaPro come over. Was supposed to send me an estimate for jobs that needed to be done. NEVER RECEIVED.. I am in CT and dealt with Owner Marc Prive... Texted, emailed, and called. Even talked with staff from the office.. NO HELP AT ALL..! LOOKING FOR A NEW PAINTER.. Do not recommend this company at all..
Sloppy painters!
They did a nice job of painting. Unfortunately they were sloppy. They got paint on my expensive window frames...paint on my window...paint on my floor!
We hired CertaPro painters to paint the…
We hired CertaPro painters to paint the whole entire inside of our house. Ben, brian and David were the three people we were involved with. From the moment they walked through the door we knew we hired the right people. They walked around the house and gave us a quote which was very reasonable. They were very professional very neat very clean. Great guys to get to know. When they started painting they made sure that every bit of furniture was covered made sure that when they were done everything was cleaned up and as they were painting they made sure that the paint job was to our liking. They went over everything making sure there was no mistakes. They were here for 8 days. I can't thank CertaPro and the guys we were involved with enough for a job well done. We are so pleased with the colors and paint job and I feel like we have a new home. Thank you again. From John Dob.......🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
CertaPro is Now my First Choice for Painting Needs
I got quotes from 4 painting companies. CertaPro won my business, not on price alone, but on the professionalism of the estimate process. Now that the job has been completed, we couldn't be more pleased with the absolutely fantastic job their crew has done. The 'attention to detail' and 'cleanup' were nothing short of fantastic. CertaPro will be my first choice for future painting needs.
We had a very unfortunate experience…
We had a very unfortunate experience with Certa Pro of Jupiter, Fl.
Phil made promises that he couldn't keep. The job took over a month to complete when we were originally told it would take 'a couple days'.
The work was horrendous and paint was everywhere. On the floors, furniture (fabric mind you) stairs, windows, literally everywhere.
The workers were slow as a snail and the sloppiest painters I have ever encountered.
It's bad enough we had travel plans which we had to cancel and take the $ hit for, but the fact it cost us double than what we were originally led to believe - well - that's unacceptable.
Any positive reviews you see are local workers, the real reviews are on BBB. And they are SHOCKING.
I had some outside work done on the siding and trim - had door refinished.
I had some outside work done on the trim (siding) and the Art Frazier came and refinished our door. He did a great job. He was very detailed and made sure the job was finished to our satisfaction. We will be doing the inside of our house at some point and we certainly include CertPro in the bid process.
Could not meet the standard stated in their contract
PROS: Good people who try hard to meet their own adopted standard.
CONS: Their painting contract stated that 1) they have adopted the American painting contractors trade organization (the PDCA) painting standards, and, 2) that they will do the job right the first time. According to this standard, a "'properly painted surface' is defined as uniform in appearance, color, texture, hiding and sheen. It is also free of foreign material, lumps, skins, runs, sags, holidays, misses, or insufficient coverage. It is also a surface free of drips, spatters, spills or overspray caused by the painting and decorating contractor’s workforce.” (PDCA P1) They did not come close to this standard the first time they performed the job. To their credit, they did come back a second time to attempt to remediate things. However, although they did improve the work, they still did not meet this standard in numerous ways. I believe they tried hard, but they just weren't skilled enough to actually paint that well. I paid for two coats, but I let them off the hook for the second coat since I didn't want to have any further damage to my home--a poor paint job can lower the value of a home.
I think it would be better if they did not give potential clients the expectation that they can provide such a high quality of work, and then there would not be any disappointment by customers. In my case, I needed the job to meet the PDCA standard, but I never received this after two attempts by them. If the standard described above is not actually necessary for you, then you could consider using them. They are good people to work with and will try hard.
Don't use CertaPro
Hat soda pro out here to float and texture a wall. They assured me that they would be able to match my texture. Not only did they not put any containment up to control the dust in my entire home was just covered and dust, but they couldn't even match the texture. A 2-day job turned into a 3-day job. Ended up having to fire them because they were not doing the job right? They were using the incorrect air compressor for my type of texture. They didn't even know what type of texture I had because they kept looking at the walls trying to figure it out. They kept telling me oh we have to lightly sand it and then paint it and it will match your other walls. You don't sand down orange peel. The texturing was so thick. It looked like ice crystals on my wall corporate they're a joke. They don't get involved in their franchise issues. And even though I fired them before, they could do any more damage to my wall, I had to still pay them half of their money. They wouldn't even agree to having me just pay for their material. Had to pay extra money to have a different company come out to correct their work And when they found that out they didn't believe that I had someone come out to fix their work. Terrible company would not recommend them
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. Here's my experience. They performed the sloppiest home exterior paint job that I have ever seen with streaks and running droplets of paint as evidence. In the process they managed to etch a glass window, leave paint on the concrete, shingles, windows, window screens, door sills, door handles, light fixtures, concrete and brick. The doors were sealed shut with paint which has already started to peel with normal opening and closing of the door. Their warranty is useless. I would never ever have certapro back to my house or advise anyone reading this to use them to paint a rock. Whatever damage they do to your home, they will not fix it or cover the costs. You will spend your time and your hard earned money in repairs of items that were not broken before they showed up and cleaning up their mess after they leave. Buyer beware. Certapro is a scam.
Lazy CertaPro painters
Crew was late and left immediately to "get material" for job; i.e. rolls of plastic and tape. One stayed to mask and then sat waiting for hours for someone to return with their sprayer. Finally, at 5pm they told us the sprayer was still "on the way" and asked to return the next day. We agreed to 9am. By 10:00 they were no show. I called and was told another 30 minutes. This is how the whole job went - more excuses than work. The final result of spray painting our basement ceiling was poor quality with lots of missed spots. When they removed tape from sheetrock, they tore the paper off the sheetrock. My wife re-painted most of it by hand. We didn't want them back in our house.
Certapro Painters Franchise In…
Certapro Painters Franchise In Litchfield Park, Az owned by Nathan & Jen Marmor. Actually should not get any stars. The Lack of Preparation on the job, one coat used in some areas, holes, cracks and some areas not scraped. Deviation from the quote and the original contract that their sales team Chris Stilwell wrote up. Area to be cleaned up daily was not we had to pick up, razor blades, cigarette butts, paper and plastic in the pool, empty beer cans wrapped in paper his was a daily occurrence. Pool equipment and windows so much over spray was to be covered. Insufficient work force job was promised 5-6 days but took nine days and 4 of the 9 days one guy only for a two story 3939 sq ft home and could not speak English sure they were hired in the Parking lot somewhere. We were even told by owner shame you don’t know Spanish. Failure to address repairs, cracks, holes, peeling paint, broken garage door glass panels, dying plants and trees, over spray but did fix rook tiles they broke we had pictures before the painters started. Day 8 the owner of the franchise pressuring us he wants his payment before the job is even done or we walk the property to address issues. We were turned over to a lien service but we had paid the company with a cashiers check and the lien company perplexed on why. Please don’t use Certapro Painters especially this Franchise company. The people coming to your home are not Licensed, bonded or insured they work under the owners License. Be very careful we have lots of video and documentation.
Several problems.
Below is my original review. They reviewed the color issue and decided to repaint with the correct color.
Several problems.
1. We match colors. No. My house was desert sand. They matched to a new down spout and the result was a yellow house. Their answer: it is Sherwin Williams paint and it is an exact match. I have an ugly yellow house. I will need to get the front of the house painted again.
2. I pointed out where old paint was peeling. They did not scrap the old paint. They put caulk over it. After 2 weeks the old cracks are visible.
3. They dumped some of the clean up water on the grass in several location and into the storm drain. To be fair, only one area of the grass has died.
They were fast and relatively inexpensive and is was a lot of work. In general the painting was ok.
Get what you pay for.
CertaPro staff did a great job!
CertaPro staff did a great job. Rodney & Efren were on time and very friendly and skilled painters. They did above and beyond our expectations and they are very reasonable. I highly recommend this company!
I was 100% satisfied with the work done…
I was 100% satisfied with the work done on the railing of my deck. In his initial visit, Nikk Perez listened carefully, saw immediately what needed to be done and gave me a quote right in line with what I expected. They were on time, had all the tools and materials needed and produced a result that far surpassed what would rate a 'satisfactory.' I will use this service again with no reservation, and will recommend them to anyone.
Horrible..
Horrible... just horrible experience with this company. They didn't paint where the job (a copy which I had received) specifically told them to paint, so only half our house was painted, even though we paid for the job as specified. They were incredibly dirty and sloppy. It was a brand new house, and the stopped paint on my new tile and all over my towel bars, bathtub, and appliances. It's still there because I'm scared to clean my new stainless steel appliances with harsh chemicals to get it off. So, those gray-paint fingerprints are a forever reminder of how disrespectful they were to my home. Even tho the company promised their workers would wear booties, they painted in big black work boots that were spattered with paint from previous jobs and dirty from walking around outside. I contacted the company to complain and was told that I'd be penalized if I didn't pay the bill immediately.. so I paid it, but lesson learned... I will never, ever use CertaPro Painters again, nor will I ever recommend them... totally negative experience all the way around.
