Struggling a lot with a cancellation request. I cancelled exactly 1 min more than the 48 hours cancellation window. The cancellation window of 48 hours was not shown when the booking was made or on the booking confirmation email or even in the voucher. The booking was shown as can be cancelled anytime with either $75 or 10% of booking amount whichever is higher, however I got all my amount taken and got paid nothing back. This is so unprofessional not to shown the policy clearly anywhere and just taking the customer's money. No response to the email I sent to the customer service with the details too. Not even an acknowledgement automated email also I got so no clue if anyone is even listening to customer grievances.

Rented a car through Car Rental 8 for use in the United Kingdom, they verified I was 25 years old but apparently minimum age without additional fees in the UK is 26 years old so when I showed up at the airport to pickup my vehicle I was hit with almost 2000 dollars worth of additional fees. Due to Car Rental 8 being third party the actual rental company told me there was nothing they could do about it but my booking company should have known this and should be able to handle it. When I called car rental 8 about it I was told it was too close to my booking time for them to do anything and then promptly hung up on. I of course decided to book with someone else last minute (who was also expensive but not nearly as bad) and couldn't even get a refund from car rental 8.

Quoted and paid $9/day ($18) online, but faced with €120 of mandatory insurance at the counter. This was for “Americans & Canadians” despite the fact that I’m an Irish resident with Irish drivers license and bank account (American citizen). I have my own annual car hire excess policy specifically to avoid these pressure upsell situations at the counter. I called the Tampa number to contest but they were closed. If you are going to rent cars in Ireland, you should have someone answering the phone in the middle of the day, Ireland time.

Ultimately wrote off the $18 and rented direct from Europcar at the counter.

I booked through them, they didn't process correctly my name due to special characters and renting company didn't want to give me the car I payed for. There support is a joke, I lost 25 minutes to let me know that they can't do anything. Based in Florida so I needed to pay extra for the call. they didn't even give me back my money and took 25% fee. worst experience ever.

Absolutely shocking behaviour and customer service.

I rented an SUV through this company, but when I arrived at Bristol Airport, I was handed what was literally a baby blue two-seater van. That is not even remotely close to what I booked.

I refused to take it and asked for an upgrade or a suitable replacement, but they had nothing to offer. In the end, I had no choice but to go to another rental company next door.

When it came to getting a refund, they refused and simply hid behind their terms and conditions, despite the fact that they clearly failed to provide the vehicle category that was booked.

Absolute joke of a company. In my opinion, this is the kind of business that will tell you anything just to take your money.

Stay away.

I had no trouble booking a car at a great rate. Unfortunately, I had to postpone my flight and cancel my booking. The refund process couldn't have been easier. I'm booking with CarRental8 again

One car type was reserved with Car Rental 8 but when I went to check in at the Deer Lake airport (Budget) they could only provide a less than adequate replacement (downgrade).

I enjoy playing this site, it's assisted me greatly with purchasing gifts and covering a few bills when I'm low on cash, when the new games are released I give them a few tries, mad hatter is a good game, 3 fat frogs and games like that I enjoy playing, I've been playing for a few months and I would recommend this site to anyone.

10 days before my trip they cancelled my car rental booking with no explanation. I had to re-book with another company and it cost 50% more due to the short time until my trip.

TOTAL SCAM. Do not book through CarRental8. I paid in full in advance, but they failed to communicate with the local provider, leading to me being double-charged at the counter. They ignore evidence and blow past deadlines for resolution. Zero customer protection. Avoid at all costs!

If you show up 1 MINUTE past your rental time because of a long line you MAY get refunded and cant make any changes to the account.. our credit card was not on file for some reason and we called to add it and they said it was too late…never again

the rental booking was for a car at Salzburg airport.
Hidden costs are not shown when browsing alternatives.I chose Dryyve who had hidden extra costs,
In particular 200 euro deposit taken to cover possible driving fines, and not returned for 6 months!
So no money back yet for me.
Also 100 euro cost to drive into Germany (right next to Salzburg so difficult to avoid) even though rental company Dryyve are German.

Paid for car hire at Malaga airport with CarRental8. I picked a ^teputable^ company with good reviews: Dollar. But Dollar doesn’t exist at Malaga airport- it’s Hertz. Took me a lot of asking around to find that out. After I had returned the car, I was charged another 186 euro for ‘super cover” location surcharge and tax. I had paid CarRental8 £124 already- I thought that was the total. So in total around £300 for 4 days. Never again
