Just days after receiving our new luggage, American Airlines all but destroyed it, the shell was disformed and the aluminum handle mechanism was bent to the point that it could not be used again. American Airlines declined to cover the negligence of their employees. I contacted Carl Friedrik by email and received an IMMEDIATE response by email. Even though it was at not fault of Carl Friedrik, they are sending replacement luggage. This is customer service like I have not received before. Carl Friedrik's customer service is second to none!
I have the Carry-On X and the smaller of the two checked bags. The performance is fantastic and the design is eye catching. So how did the people responsible for this design make a small but really ROOKIE mistake on the luggage tag? First, it is not included and, at $65, a pretty pricey add on for what it is. But, wait, the tag is too small for a business card. And not half the size or 70% of the size -- which would still be frustrating but you could call an esthetic choice. It's just SLIGHTLY too small -- maybe 95% of the size of a standard business card. So you have to cut it down just enough to cut-off the first or last line of type. The first letter of your email address or the last digit of your phone number. Who thought that was a good idea?
I had an issue with an older model Large Check-in case. CF helped me register my product for warranty, and then completely took care of a warranty replacement - with a newer version. They paid for the shipping, helped explain the improvements made, and really supported me when I needed it. It's rare that 'lifetime warranty' actually means it - but these guys do. Thank you CF (and Magda!). A great experience.

Unfortunately the item I received from Carl Friedrik does not match the photos of the item on their website. I thought this brand was trustworthy, but beware, it could be a bait & switch.
Update (1/26/2025): This company attempted to delete my review from Trustpilot by reporting it as fraudulent. I emailed this company again, asking why the photos of the product are still inaccurate. They promised to update the photos. I just checked their site. They did not update anything.

Not sure which I love more… My fabulous carry-on X suitcase or the beyond amazing customer service of Carl Friedrik. There a series of unfortunate circumstances it took a few tries to get everything just right based on what I was looking for in my order and based on what they had in stock. They went so above and beyond in correcting some stock and shipping issues on their end. I am now just about squared away and absolutely love this gorgeous, roomy and lightweight luggage. It has helped me stick to my goal of never having to check a back. This was a birthday gift from my husband and I couldn’t be happier!!
Carl Friedrik, your customer support is overwhelmingly awesome. I know that feedback is critical in all industries, so please pull Morgan aside and tell her that she is the best service person that I have ever dealt with! Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to purchase holiday gifts from CF.
I have ordered a couple of bags in quick succession from CF. I was initially looking for a flight bag to support work trips and I simply couldn't resist their carry-on range. Having taken the plunge I then opted for a couple of the Palissy bags, one for my girlfriend and having seen it I then bought one for myself.
I'm so happy that I did as they are beautiful. The material is gorgeous, not a term I would normally use but it is an absolute pleasure to own. I cannot praise the products enough.
I had a supplier over to visit me the other day and they complimented my bag (Palissy 25hr). I have never had a complement on a bag and being a man, found this quite unusual but it really is a testament to how refined they are.
I would order more but we have the full range now.
I would also like to say thank you to the customer service department as I changed my mind on colours a few times and they were more than helpful. Special thank you to Magda.
Love the carryon. The wheels are amazing and easily roll across airport carpet.
