A small yet mighty family-run Pokémon TCG retailer. Offering the latest expansions, previous hard-to-find sets, as well as sought-after Japanese imports.
United Kingdom
DO NOT USE THIS STORE - Issuing purchases for pre-orders of Pokemon stock which simply cannot be fulfilled. Every response to an email chasing my product which I pre-ordered back in AUGUST is. Yeah we’re awaiting stock. There’s been another set release since which shin pre-orders were taken for. Absolutely useless. Lesson learnt. Hope none else gets stung.
Same as others, ordered back in September when they take the money straight away, no update on any of my orders. Have emailed for updates, and asked for refunds, all blatantly ignored. The number to call on doesn’t even ring through. Owner seems to be a scam artist at this point, I will be pursuing this.
Much like the others - customer experience has been appalling. Pre-ordered back in July and fully paid for! Still not received my product with little to no communication from the seller. I have requested multiple times for my order to be refunded. Very sad to be honest - i will be taking further action!
TERRIBLE.
I had over £500 worth of orders placed with this 'company'. Didnt get anything delivered, must have emailed them a dozen times and when it came to the post release date of the cards I ordered they stopped replying to emails.
Would not trust this company in a million years, terrible customer support.
Still waiting on my item months after release.
Paid over msrp too. They clearly didn't have enough stock.
Have tried to get a refund for the past week and they have ignored all emails.
Had to raise credit card dispute to get money back.
Avoid buying from here
I preorder the Mega evolutions booster box at GBP169 on 5 Aug 2025. This is the worst TCG online purchase experience. I sent tons of emails but got no response at all. Their landline does not work. Not sure this vendor still operates. Please don't make any purchase with this vendor or you would become the next victim.
I was told how bad this company was after pre order PH and its true, they told me it they are going to send the item and I never received it, I have asked for a refund which I am waiting for. Avoid at all cost.
Looking at the reviews, it’s no wonder that 37% of the reviews are 1 star. Even the better reviews still say the same thing, long delivery times with no explanation. I have an explanation, Nathan is sourcing stock from other stores when he receives orders (kind of like drop shipping only worse).
On 8th September I pre-ordered Mega Evolutions. Two weeks after release date still nothing so I contacted them. Crissa responded quickly, but said because she is remote from Nathan that she could not get an expected shipping date for my order. This is what I was told a couple of years ago.
Not sure why being remote from the owner means Crissa can’t get any info, but I decided to wait a little longer.
Contacted them again on 30th October and no response. Several emails and a week later, I finally get a response saying they are busy. Still no mention of an expected shipping date.
One review mentioned when they received an order it had another shop’s branding still on it. Given that they won’t update and now then next set is released and I still don’t have the previous set I preordered, this leaves me to believe several things:
1. Nathan doesn’t work with any wholesalers, and if he does, he isn’t ordering enough and hopes that his customers will just wait for an unknown amount of time until he can get stock.
2. He is taking far too many preorders with absolutely no way to fulfil them.
3. He is sourcing stock on the secondary market and not through wholesalers.
Not sure why this shop is still up and running, it needs to be shut down and people need to avoid it. Five weeks since the release and I still don’t have my order and they are refusing to tell me when I can expect it.
If you are unsure, just read the reviews and you will see that I’m not overreacting. There are a lot of annoyed people on here who don’t get responses to messages and who are out of pocket a lot of money. More 1 star reviews are being added on a daily basis as people are not receiving their orders. There will be more now that the new set is out and people still aren’t getting anything.
Finally they contacted me and I said I wanted a date for my order, or a refund. They said they would refund, which I am still waiting for.
Missed out on two Pokemon launches because of these scalpers. If you want anything at time of launch, do not order from these.
Probably going to have to report this to the bank as fraud to get my money back.
Sorry for the long post, just really annoyed that they think this is ok.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I pre-ordered Phantasmal Flames Booster Box months ago, and have never received neither the product nor any estimate of its arrival. ALL other card shops have long since delivered.
I want to point out that they sell above retail and are clearly dishonest. This entire “we are one person business, we’re doing the best we can” facade is laughable: majority of card shops are small businesses and somehow only Card Mart faces such issues. Do you know why?
Because they scalp. I’m not the only person from my tcg community who ordered from them, and it’s clear that they sell products in thousands. No shop receives such allocations, especially not a relatively new one like this. I also saw people receiving products with Argos/Smyths/SportsDirect stickers on top.
That explains everything, doesn’t it? They oversell the product by crazy amount, and then scalp from other places just to sell it to you for a higher price. And because they need to find the product first, it ends up super delayed. They are part of the problem, of why it’s so hard to find products in shops.
And then the owner says this:
“I also do everything I can to keep on top of scalper behaviour, and I have found that most of the negative reviews I receive tend to come from disgruntled scalpers”
This is too funny, but unfortunately also sad.
Also, their customer service is awful, and you don’t have to take my word for it: just scroll through their responses to negative reviews and see what their attitude is like.
Needless to say I have little hopes for getting my order anytime soon, and will be cancelling it. It’s only a pity that I was scammed into contributing to their mass zero-interest loan… never again.
This company is everything wrong with the Pokémon market.
They essentially scalp products themselves, buying off big retailers and then reselling the products to you so you can't buy them first hand yourself. Products are sold at a premium with no stock actually in hand.
I purchased two products from them back in August, with release of the products being the start of October and as of today have not received them. This is because there is no product, they make loads of sales on their website, to raise capital to buy more stock. They are essentially taking your money to benefit themselves and make more money whilst you are sat there questioning if it will ever come.
I grew tired of waiting, and no order updates and requested a refund.
I would suggest avoiding them and instead looking for products at MSRP, as difficult as that may be.
Asks for full amount for preorders that aren’t guaranteed. Does not send any updates post/pre release dates. Emails don’t get responded to. Phone number doesn’t work.
Same as everyone else.
Absolute shambles of a company & not even worthy of a review.
I ordered from these guys in September and have been waiting over 2 months. I’ve not heard anything despite sending emails, shocking service.
I’ve used Cart Mart multiple times and they’ve never disappointed. I've ordered my Black Blot/White Flare, Mega Evolution base set and Phantasmal Flames from them. Shipping can be slower than other retailers, but the items always arrive. The customer service team has consistently replied to my messages. I am a collector and I can patiently wait for my order to arrive. I will continue to order from Card Mart.
Would absolutely avoid using this company at all cost! Ignores all emails sent! I pre ordered mega evolutions booster box! I would just like my money back at this point as it’s clear they take on too many orders! But they don’t respond to any emails so I will have to go through the banks to get my money back!
Same experience as everyone else, paid for mega preorder didn't get it after 6 weeks so decided to refund. I also canceled my phantasm flame preorder.
Ordered and paid for a booster box on the 23/08/25 it still hasn't been shipped, received an email on the 19/09/25 advising Pokemon had delayed the release until the 10/10/25. I contacted Card Mart on the 26/10/25 asking for an update as I had still heard nothing from them. I received a response advising orders were been worked through and would be shipped ASAP. I then had to email again on the 11/11/25 for another update and have heard nothing back. Poor from Card Mart will never use them again and will be asking for a refund!!
Order Placed on June 25th, release date 18th of July. Dispatched on 14th of November. Joke of a business!!
My experience with this company has been nothing short of unacceptable. This is not a legitimate retail operation, this business uses customer funds as an interest-free loan to keep itself afloat.
This business takes full, upfront payment for pre-orders without securing any stock allocations. They then rely entirely on the volatile and often high-priced secondary market to fulfill orders.
Not only do they charge excessive prices (often above the actual Recommended Retail Price), but they do so for items they don't even own yet.
As a result of their business model, orders are fulfilled way past the official release date, with no guarantee of when, or even if, the product will ever arrive.
This is a short-term lending scheme. They are taking your money to finance their operation, using customer capital to buy a few items on the secondary market to satisfy a handful of orders, and then continuing this ridiculous cycle until their debt is passed on to the next unsuspecting customer.
Their attitude toward customers experiencing these delays is equally ridiculous and demonstrates a complete lack of responsibility. Do not fund this irresponsible business. I strongly advise against placing any order with this company until they can prove they maintain proper inventory and ethical fulfillment practices.
Delivered 1 order a week after release, the next hasn’t arrived after close to a month, maybe more, no replies on support emails over 2 weeks and multiple emails, no valid phone number, no automatic cancellation of orders (like why?). Have more orders with them for future releases, and I bet the experience will be the same with those too… not worth the hassle.
I placed an pre-order on July the 17th for a Mega Evolution Booster Box. I still haven't received this and also cant get any response via email or phone to find out the status of my order.
