Good advice from WHICH magazine and I signed up for Start Rescue. Car failed to start at home and from my initial phone call everything went perfectly and a technician would be with me within an hour. In the event he was delayed by traffic but importantly he phoned to tell me and sorted out a replacement battery when he arrived. I received several calls from Call Assist checking if all was ok and a final one to check that I was happy with the service. It was exceptional!

I had very good experience with call assist . According their time schedule they came on time , explained about fault & sort it out too . Also he recommended for what next I need to do follow up . That was very quick & satisfactory service I received. Thank you .

Excellent manner on the phone. She organised a breakdown to come within an hour and he was under an hour. I thoroughly recommend them as being reliable and a very competitive price.

Carl the mechanic was amazing and professional. The second call handler was lovely and reassuring x

arrived well within the given time, courteous and polite service by all, rescued with great competence - no bad or improper handling to my cherished motor.

I was kept up to date as to anticipated arrival time. When they arrived they diagnosed the problem straight away, did a temporary fix and provided advice on what action to take to have the problem permanently fixed

Easy efficient process and recovery truck arrived in really good time, very pleased with the service.

I contacted customer service as the breakdown was in Carlisle. My son was driving and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful and explained that it is the car not the driver that is covered. I subsequently used the app to confirm breakdown etc. The whole experience was really stress free and I was kept up to date with all aspects of my car.

I wouldn't waste your time with this company as its a sham.
They told me i wasn't covered in France and would have to make my own plans to sort out my breakdown of my car.
I sorted everything myself and a week later when at home got a call from them telling me they had made a mistake and i should have been covered.
They told me to claim for car hire and taxis.
So i did and after 2 weeks of emails they have told me they won't pay 85% of the claim.
There is no point in wasting your time with Ping insurance and call assist. I will revert to the AA as their european policy has always been great.

Out quickly and transported my car and myself to my chosen garage.

I strongly advise others not to use or deal with Call Assist
. My experience with them was extremely disappointing and stressful.

A recovery driver from Call Assist - Yorkshire Rescue Service Ltd- seriously damaged my vehicle by ignoring clear instructions. I explained that my car had a clutch issue and should not be forced into gear. Despite my warnings, the driver attempted to start the car and force the gears, which caused the vehicle to smoke and led to major mechanical damage to the clutch and starter motor.

I submitted video evidence, a garage report confirming the damage, and proof of the cost I incurred. Still, MSL dismissed the entire complaint, claiming the damage was due to “wear and tear.” They refused to take any responsibility and clearly tried to shift the blame, ignoring all the facts and evidence I provided.

This company hides behind vague policies instead of resolving issues fairly. Their handling of complaints is unprofessional, and they do not act in good faith. If you value your vehicle and peace of mind, stay far away from Call Assist.

Very efficient service, and prompt attention

From requesting help via the app to the prompt arrival and courteous and efficient service, the whole thing was seamless.

Immediate response, quick attendance, satisfied.

Absolutly brilliant service, stranded middle of nowhere, middle of the night, totally lost with a blow out. All done and home within an hour. Brilliant

Our car decided to have a fit halfway up a steep hill. It brought up an order not a reminder. Service NOW! Hill Assist Not Available. We managed to get it up the hill slowly, down the other side (both buses routes) and then into a side road. I called for help and it all went well from there. The call assistant went through everything with us, gave a time slot. Went through options with us for the mechanic etc and passed our details on. He even called back to make sure that everything was going to plan and told us we could call back if needed. Luckily we did not need to. I renew my membership every year because of their reliability.

I recently purchased a car from Motorpoint with added warranty to the vehicle. We had an issue with the car so we rang the dealer who put us onto Call Assist. They sent out a mechanic to determine a fault on the car. After this I was advised from Call assist to find my own local garage to fix the car. Then after it was fixed I would to get back in touch to see if the warranty would cover the cost. After doing this I was later told by the warranty company that I shouldn’t have got the car fixed as I should have used a garage to which they refer to. I made a complaint to Call Assist also I asked for a reimbursement of the costs as if we were advised properly then we would have got costs covered through the warranty cover.
Call Assist have admitted fault however they are not taking the complaint further as they have stated it is the customers responsibility to know which local garage to use.
I feel I have been totally mis advised. The experience has been very stressful and it has put me and my husband under financial strain.

Have been with them for quite a few years, and needed their assistance a couple of times. I find the app easy to use to alert them that I've broken down. The tracker map is useful so I know roughly how long before somebody attends. Really great service.
