My insurance policy with this company does not commence until tomorrow so I can't really give 5 stars for performance as I haven't had to use them but the sign up process was easy and I would give that 5 stars

Customer service are terrible, a simple
Phone for a quote to add an extra car on is impossible and they just end up putting the phone down on you.
I wouldn’t recommend at all, had trouble with them since day one, I will be leaving once my policy is up.

Happy after an explanation from Budgetinsurance.
My initial complaint....Decided to buy a new car. Went online to change car details. Not possible had to ring them. No ability to insure my new car! Mainstream EV one of the UKs biggest selling brands. Had to cancel my insurance and start again.
After posting I was contacted by a nice lady from Budget insurance who gave me a full explanation of my concerns and sympathised that the underwriters were unable to insure my new car at that time. After this explanation I fully understood the problem and actually suffered no loss at all. Nice to talk to a well informed person. Will defiantly use them again.

Charlatan’s avoid at all cost
Absolutely terrible establishment.
I took out van insurance and paid in full. The money was taken out my account immediately and I received my policy documents and certificate of insurance.
In the following days I received an email to suggest that my details were inaccurate and my policy would increase by almost 50%. This would be done automatically if not contested.
I contested the accuracy of their data with the hopeless customer support team. Only to be told that my request to remove a named driver was not possible and the increase in premium still applies.
I have since formally requested to be contacted by senior members of staff, to never hear anything and all my subsequent emails have been ignored.
Do not use this insurance company. I thought firms like this were a thing of the past but it seems they are still able to establish and operate unfairly and without morals.
Avoid at all costs.

Where do i start!!!! What a rip off of a company,i had a valid policy with this mob until i decided i wanted to change my car big mistake!!! £175 per year for a skoda citigo,i changed to a skoda Roomster and to quote them it will be an extra £375 for the remaining months of the policy what!!!! after i picked my self up from the floor i told the lady i would rather cancel,she told me there was £64 left on the policy and it would be £60 cancelation fee🤨🤨🤨 no surprise there then!!!! How do companies like this even exsist rip off merchants stay well clear of Budget insurance🤨🤨🤨🤨 ps new policy £249 all in fully comp for the two of us,joke of a company,time to let the ombudsman know about this underhanded operation stay clear!!!!!.

Tried to add my daughter as a named learner driver . I was told they could not provide the extra cover . So through no fault of mine I had to take a new policy with another provider . I was then charged £70.00 to cancel insurance . Absolute disgrace!!!. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Unfortunately, we are not always able to offer cover or obtain a quotation when a younger or learner driver is added to a policy, as this depends on our underwriting criteria. We understand this may be frustrating if you then need to arrange cover elsewhere.
If a policy is cancelled following a request to make a change, the standard cancellation fees and charges outlined in the policy terms and conditions would apply.

Had a very bad experience with the call…
Had a very bad experience with the call operator today, Been with Budget 2 years, no claims, no problems. Driving since 1968 and never had a claim on car insurance. Received renewal £50 increase on last year. Rang to query this and spoke to the operator with difficulties understanding her strong accent. Told her I wasn't happy about the price increase so she said she would go through it with me. Mileage was on insurance as 4000 per annum. I told her she could drop that to 2000 per annum hoping that might bring the price down. She said she would check with the insurer. I couldn't believe it when she came back on the line and said instead of dropping the price, they were now going to charge £20 more than the renewal price. She could not give me any reason for this and was completely indifferent when I repeatedly asked her to explain this.
