1 is being generous. Full on scam. *Trades be aware* I signed up to booksbuilder for plastering leads and got completely mis-sold. Everything the sales rep told me was a lie. I called and knew that I was going to be fighting an uphill battle, so I decided to focus my energy on other things. I advised that I don't want to auto renew as they are a con. Fast forward to 12 months later, and I receive an email to say I owe them for an auto renewal, and as a gesture, they will accept £200 to put me on the 'lite' membership. Called up and got told it's automatic from the system as I rang up to cancel and didn't write in. I explained that written or verbal doesn't make a difference somebody has to input the information to the system. Anyhow. The email is written very strongly. Be aware if you receive the email. Ring them to confirm. On a second note if you do cancel with them, make sure you block your financial details. Absolutely disgusting company, disgusting customer services and hopefully they get closed very soon.

We hired a so-called “bathroom fitter” through this website and the results were a complete disaster. The shower tap he installed didn’t even function properly—water wasn’t flowing through correctly and was instead spewing from the middle.

When I contacted the website to raise the issue, I asked whether they verify the qualifications of the contractors they list. To my shock, they don’t. That explains the shoddy workmanship we were left with—after paying £2,500, we’re now having to pursue legal action against the contractor to recover our money.

I would never use this website again and strongly advise others not to take the risk. There’s clearly no quality control or accountability.

Had to call for a plumber to fix a problem with my nan's toilet.

I’m sure there are many trusted tradesmen on this platform but unfortunately the one I engaged was certainly not one . I wanted an outside tap fitting, I had a tap kit but Tazzy ( the so called plumber ) insisted the kits where rubbish that he would do it properly with a pipe etc.. and quoted a price which I thought was a bit expensive so eventually to secure the job he said he would do it for a more reasonable price . What a useless conman I feel he is , he ended up using parts of my tap kit , fitting it to the hot water pipe and not even putting the tap on straight and to put the icing on the cake charging me more than the original quote!! . I am absolutely disgusted and would certainly never recommend Tazzy to do any other work, he has the gift of the gab but unfortunately that is the only gift .It’s cost me even more money to get his botched job put right as I don’t fancy water my plants or pressure washing with hot water . To say I’m
fuming is putting it politely . I did send a review but surprise surprise it was not published.

Andrew did an excellent job, and was meticulous, clean and tidy in his work. It was well priced and I gave him extra as the work was well worth it. He kept me up to date as to his arrival, promptly informing me of any delays. Highly recommended.

I engaged a gas engineer to install my cooker on BookaBuilder.com Following my job posting, I received numerous inquiries. I selected HSC Gas Services; their engineer exhibited professionalism and exceeded expectations. Communication was excellent; overall, I am highly satisfied with the service provided.

Very responsive - great communication. Great advice and an efficient service at a realistic price. Would definitely use again.

he agreed to start on the 8th, he arrived started work, removed ridge tiles and said he could not continue with dry-ridge as the tiles needed extensive work, remove all tiles, remove all old felt and batons, replace all troughs and valleys. refelt, fit new valleys and troughs prepare ridge for dry-ridge, replace tiles and leadwork, install new plastic shirting from felt to gutter fit new dry-ridge system, oh and he wont mortar tiles back because of the issues

It has been incorrectly fitted, its missing tray work, they also only did 2 sides of the roof (which I am now grateful ) as the 2 side they have done will need redoing, they have caused damage to the sides they did not do and he did not seem to understand that where you will possible get some light leakage/reflected that you should not see direct sunlight onto the felt, not just in one area but many, his response to this is to put a plastic like putty into the gaps and call the job done, I paid him half on good faith and informed him I needed to have the work inspected as I began to find evidence he had not done the work contracted for and he was becoming threatening in not paying the residue until I had had it inspected

I now have documented evidence (photos and statements) from an accredited roofing company and my insurance is sending a surveyor to asses if the damage done, could be covered as they don’t cover the work done as they don’t cover poor workmanship, but I don’t think they will.

So you are aware his actions have been criminal and costly, I have reported him to the police, and to fraud action, started a claim against him, I now realise in have been scammed, he took advantage of my mental disability, he pressured me into agreeing to work and then did not deliver and threatened when I tried to protect myself

It’s totally bullshit I don’t want to continue my membership but they keep sending msg to me to charge membership money for next one year they are bullshit company charging people without any reason I will go to county court for my money

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

They do not seem to provide any level of quality checks on their builders. Illegal work carried out in our building, the builders took money and ran off. The company have made clear they have no liability as its between us and the builders event though it was sourced through book a builder.

Please spare yourself the trouble. I have invested so much time and energy to getting this money back and it has come to nothing.

Absolute joke, got a book full of graft, a couple of my staff wanted to do some local stuff signed up with these clowns to find they give you unlimited leads, well it’s not free it’s £499 per year!

Would never pay for a lead in my lifetime my father would be turning in his grave knowing that companies like these exist.

Chris is an excellent Joiner, fitted 3 internal doors, all perfect, cleaned up through all the prcesses so no mess at all, highly recommended.

Brought a pro membership for building works in London and have had several successful projects in my first few months. The sales team there know their stuff and will help and guide you on how to win the jobs and the platform works marvelously.
You do need to engage with the app as soon as a job gets posted but the sales man made me aware of this upon sign up and so it's what I do

An excellent job. Totally satisfied with the outcome. Worked progressed well and thoroughly professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this firm again and wholeheartedly recommend them and will use again when the need arises.

Came out to see what was needed to be done. Phoned that day with a quote, came out the next day and completed the job 1st class service would recommend them.

A guy from the Company phoned me promising big things. Extensions, new builds, 19 times more leads on the bigger area... kitchens, bathrooms... tons of leads. Asked me will I manage to take them all... well, so far for a few months I had 3 or 4 leads. The biggest job was to lay laminate flooring in a hallway. I also paid £1400 for a website to be built by them. Guess what? I don't have any website yet... I don't even have replies to my emails. Absolutely rubbish!!!
