Your leads are non existent, your customers service people need re training also they need to get some manners, as a company your not helping yourself to get repeat custom and I'm surprised your still trading, anyway other trades people might have guessed I didn’t get the best experience with your company, in fact I didn’t get an experience with your company, to any trades people thinking of joining bookabuilder think again unless you want to throw money away
Chris the plumber did a good job in replacing the old syphon in my WC cistern and replacing the handle. Chris was polite, arrived when he said he would and was a clean worker. Would definitely use Hewitt Plumbing again. Phil, Woodbridge.
He was very prompt, he did a very good job my carpet is excellent, he was very nice & efficient, I would definitely call on him again, & very clean & tidy,
This company is a complete scam.
They sell you the package, you pay, then your "account manager" call and sells you a bigger package. I have have not has one lead in in 3 months. If you call the manager is always in a meeting or away, staff are rude, no refund or any information. Dont give them you money.

Most of the replies were from the wrong category of tradesmen and those that may have been suitable just didn't answer my emails or phone calls when I contacted them.
This site is terrible. I joined a year ago and never got anywhere in generating enquiries. Everytime a lead came up it was immediately taken. I complained on email and was ignored. They then automatically renewed which I had to argue about. They reduced to £200 if signed for another year. Promised the earth then as soon as payment received ignored me once again. Avoid!!

Quick response. Quote given and accepted. The tradesman came the next day. Job done to my complete satisfaction. Now have tradesman business card and he will be my first call for future similar jobs.

Eddie turned up when he said he would, did the job well and charged me a reasonable price. I'll be employing his services again in the future.
Horrible and potentially dangerous service. Firstly, for some reason, my postcode despite coming up with the correct address shows the job located in a place called "Junction" which doesn't exist. The first job I posted some months ago, BAB customer services called me to validate the job, I queried the location then and they couldn't explain why that happens. Manually entering the town worked, but didn't attract any local interest. Still an issue with my recent job.
Secondly, I only seem to attract tradesmen from far away. I don't know why this happens. Nobody local responds to the small jobs I've posted, although in fairness overwhelming interest from distant and questionable "property management" companies seems common for other sites too (eg mybuilder).
Thirdly and most seriously, as a user, I don't understand the intended experience. A tradesman can "accept" my job, without having introduced themselves or offering a quote. Then they see my phone number, and perhaps feel obliged that I take them up? This is ridiculous and now an angry roofer (who seems to be 80 miles away from the small job advertised) has my number, accusing me of being a "dodgy lead" after explaining the job had been done (I found a tradesman using another service and had forgotten I even tried here first, such was the lack of interest). I was admittedly equally rude back and hung up/blocked, but on reflection, perhaps he's fed paying for a service that isn't generating him any business. The business model appears to be a fixed annual fee for tradesmen. I couldn't tell you if the site uses fake leads, but it sounds like he wasn't getting value from his annual fee, and from my side of the fence, I haven't had any luck over two jobs finding local tradesmen either.
Now I'm done with this site forever, I want to delete my account, as is my right under current data protection laws, and I see no way of doing that. At this point that's no surprise.
It also seems closely related to Wren kitchens and bedrooms with links to book appointments in the navigation menu, which from a user perspective is bizarre.
Suggest anyone avoid this service, it's a mess.

I hired David to fit herringbone flooring for an agreed quote of £500, which I paid in good faith after he assured me the work would be completed to a professional standard and include a one-year warranty. In total, I ended up paying £600 — £100 more than the agreed price — yet was left with an unfinished floor, no warranty, and a great deal of stress and additional cost.
During the job, David chose to approach a puppy on the street and was nipped. Although he laughed about the incident, used his arm freely afterwards, cleaned the entire drive, and joked about what happened, he later requested more money from both the dog’s owner and me. He even said himself that “the pup was 100% being playful and was just clumsy” and that it was his own fault.
It took three days after the incident for him to decide he wanted extra money from me — £100 for “shaving doors” — something that should have been mentioned during the initial job assessment. He also requested an additional £150 on behalf of the dog’s owner, which I refused. I felt under pressure but did not go along with this, as it was completely irrelevant to the flooring work and he had no right to ask me for extra money from someone else.
The pace of work was extremely slow for two men. Even before the dog bite, Day 1 took the entire day just to lay 15 sqm of plywood, with no levelling required. Day 2, they left at 2:30 p.m., which I can only assume was to go to another job. Day 3, David left partway through the day, with his son saying he had gone to “see to another job.” It became increasingly clear he was juggling multiple jobs and not giving mine proper attention. Despite promising to finish by the end of day 3, the floor was still incomplete — edges missing, no beading or trims fitted, and a door left in the middle of the room.
I later discovered pieces of my expensive wooden flooring thrown in the bin, which was both wasteful and upsetting. David first responded saying he had never seen this happen in all his 30 years of career, and later told me to read about how even good pieces of wood sometimes cannot be used. I responded that even if he now claims the pieces could not be used, they should not have been thrown away, as I could have had a box of wood refunded if not needed. His responses simply sounded like excuses for his mistake and showed he did not know what he was talking about.
The property was also left in poor condition. A saw had been used in the kitchen without warning, leaving the entire area coated in dust. Glue splashes were left on the new floor, and a glue lid was placed on my sofa. When I politely asked him not to do that, he later took a video suggesting it had never happened — which I found misleading.
After leaving the job incomplete, David stopped answering my calls, ignored questions about the warranty he had promised, and later messaged to say he would not be returning, claiming anxiety around dogs — despite working in an empty property with no animals present. I have video and audio evidence clearly showing him laughing after the incident, using the same arm freely, and saying “the pup was 100% being playful and was just clumsy” and that it was his own fault.
From my perspective, it felt as though David had taken on too many jobs and decided not to return after being paid in full, leaving me with unfinished work, extra costs, and no warranty. It was impossible to find another skilled tradesman to finish the edges of the flooring and everything else agreed for the £60 refunded to me, after David had taken £600 in total.
I am aware that online reviews can appear misleadingly perfect, as those that do not meet platform wording policies may be removed — which can make some tradespeople appear to have 100% flawless records. For that reason, I believe it’s important to share an honest and factual account so that future customers can make informed choices. Any claims made in David’s response to this review are invalid, as I hold clear video and audio evidence to support every statement I have made.

Making a payment for a service should be as it says on the tin, but when inconsistencies, abandonment and attempts to secure even further money from you is really condescending and very belittling.
After paying £480, I'm left with no job lead, and they told me that the job leads were complementary.
Let me warn those who already signed up, go and discontinue your AUTO RENEWAL, because by the end of 12 months, it automatically renews.
Let season builders and traders stay clear of this company. its a bitter pill. Do your due diligence!

Do not buy this if you are a tradesperson looking for job leads. They promise you loads and get you next to nothing. You can never get through to anyone in office to talk to. In my opinion this company is the biggest scam going paid £420 for a year subscription. For absolutely nothing because they do not deliver what they promise. Massive SCAM DO NOT BUY THIS
