AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

AVOID! This unethical company takes your money with the promise of a new boiler within 2 days, postpones the installation with limp excuses on the morning of the expected day, and then what a fiasco trying to get another date. The date was postponed 3 times! We had a house with no working boiler with absolutely no confidence that they would ever deliver the purchased service. Then this company doesn't refund when you cancel the order as a result! Their website claims excellent customer service but it is appalling. Communications are poor, it's so difficult to speak to anyone. You can't speak to a manager. Still no refund after 2 weeks and they won't say when! It's been so stressful. It's unacceptable and immoral, it's the worst company that we have ever dealt with.

AVOID THESE SCAMMERS

Absolutely useless company.I should have learned from a previous install due at the end of November that got postponed three or four times but eventually got done on the 3rd March.I only went with them again as their engineer,Paul,did a brilliant job. Paid online,luckily using a credit card,on Sept 22,install date given was Sept 24,cancelled on 23rd but rearranged for 25th.Cancelled the day before so rearranged for 30th.At 9.30 on the 30th I get a call to say a family emergency (one of the excuses used in the previous install) so I told them to cancel and refund.I got two emails on the 30th confirming the cancellation and that the refund has been done.Today,08/10/25 I get a call to say they don't know when the refund will be done.Credit card charge dispute raised. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Just to add it's now 28/10/25 and still no refund!!

Do not buy from Boiler Central

I am writing this review to warn others not to buy from Boiler Central They took my money and did not install a boiler. There is something seriously wrong with this company.

I paid £2150 for a Veissmann Boiler on 4 September 2025 . I was contacted by a sales executive Jake Dickinson to quickly complete the sale over the phone. Took my credit card payment and I was immediately charged the full amount and was told the installation would take place on Monday 8th September between 8 - 10 am.

1. Monday 8th engineer did not turn up as he was ill postponed to Wednesday.
2. Wednesday 10 Sept - no show as the engineer was too ill postponed to Friday.
3. Friday 12 September - installation cancelled as the boiler was damaged. Postponed to Monday
4. Monday 15 September - installation cancelled as another boiler was damaged. Postponed to Tuesday.
5.Tuesday 16 September Engineer arrived but was not provided with the parts so installation was postponed.
6. Wednesday 17 September Engineer arrived but did not have parts so installation was cancelled. Promised it would take place on Friday.
7.Friday 19 September no one showed up and when I phoned the office they told me I got the date wrong despite them sending me an email with the installation date on it.
8. Monday 22 September no one showed up and was told installation would be the following day.
9. Tuesday 23 September got a text stipulating that the engineer’s job had overrun and installation would provisionally be moved to Wednesday.

At this point I could take no more of the false promises and incompetence and cancelled the installation. It is very difficult to get hold of any one at Boiler Central. The phone keeps getting cut off or not answered and emails are not answered. Boiler Central has left my property without heating and hot water for over 2 weeks.

In the end I contacted Worcester Bosch directly and my boiler was promptly installed with peace of mind that I can contact them if I I had any problems.

Why would you buy from Boiler Central who are essentially just a boiler broker. If you do manage to get them to install the boiler for you can you imagine what it would be like if you had a problem and needed them to fix your boiler?

Others on Trustpilot seem to have the same issues with Boiler Central - cancellations due to broken boilers and sick engineers. It is not worth the cheaper price/discount to buy from them. At the time of writing this review I still have not received my refund - I will be contacting my credit card company regarding this to get my money back.

Save yourself the hassle and stress of dealing with Boiler Central and go elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs!

This has become a fraudulent company!
They will trick/rush you in taking your money and never see them back!
As the most recent customers who cancelled their service, I also didn't receive the refund.
Only form of contact is the sales team which they claim have no responsibility with the refunds. The team that deals with it is contacted just through e-mail and we never received any update/info/etc. So, you are caught in a loop.

Annual boiler service

Annual boiler service- excellent communications/ reminders prior to service taking place.
Great service once the engineer arrived as he was delayed by over 2 hours. Very efficient and friendly engineer who was obviously very busy but still did an excellent job and very clean working.

The worst company I have had the…

The worst company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. DO NOT USE!
They cancelled my installation 4 times without communication. They breached contract each time. I chased:
Wednesday - job overran
Thursday - engineer was ill
Friday - van broke down
Saturday - engineers hand broke
They do not care. I was very clear that I have a 2yo and 3 month old without hot water or heat. If they can be honest with me, I can at least source a temp fix. Honestly is NOT in their Vocabulary.
Save your self the hassle.
A company that doesn’t care about their contracts or communicating or honesty, should not be allowed to operate in 2025. There are other options out there, go with them.

No Refund Received

DO NOT PURCHASE A BOILER FROM BOILER CENTRAL!

I paid a large sum up front whilst a sales person waited on the phone and rushed me through the purchase - very aggressive sales tactics. I paid based on the fact that they have thousands of reviews here and an overall good rating.

After multiple reschedules for the installation I looked at the recent reviews and decided to cancel within their 14 day cancellation period as per their T&Cs. Almost two weeks later and I've still received no refund.

I'm not sure if ownership or management has changed, or whether their customer support and sales teams are unaware that NO CUSTOMER is receiving any kind of product or service. If they are aware, this entire organisation is full of complete crooks, or the company is in serious financial difficulties.

The 5 star reviews here must be completely fake and if so, goes to show the level of corruption this company is willing to go to in order to stay afloat.

I am now getting Action Fraud UK and my bank involved. Soon I will also get lawyers and the financial ombudsman involved and file a statutory demand of this is not resolved.

THIS CANNOT CONTINUE, regardless of whether it's corruption or they are going bankrupt - I will do everything in my power to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I feel so bad for all the other customers who have fallen prey to this.

⭐ 1 Star – Extremely unreliable, repeated cancellations and false promises

I booked a boiler installation with Boiler Central, but it turned into a very frustrating experience. The company cancelled my appointment or no show up five times, even after confirming and promising that an engineer would definitely attend.

Today, they once again assured me someone would come between 8-10am, but by lunchtime, nobody showed up. I called the company, and was simply told they could “reschedule again.” I refused, as it was clear they could not deliver on their commitments.

They later emailed me to confirm the cancellation, but worded it as though it was “requested by me,” which is misleading — the cancellation happened because they repeatedly failed to attend.

An hour later, they called again, offering a £150 discount if I agreed to yet another rescheduled visit the next day. At that point, I had completely lost confidence in their ability to provide a reliable service.

I strongly suggest anyone considering Boiler Central to be cautious. A boiler installation is a major home job — you need a company that keeps its promises and respects your time. Unfortunately, Boiler Central failed on both counts.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Company

I paid for next-day delivery and installation, but the whole process was a complete disaster. After paying my deposit, no one explained what would actually happen next. I was just left waiting without any clear instructions.

First, I got a call on Monday saying the engineer would come Tuesday between 8–10am. I even took a day off work, but then on Wednesday I got another call saying the engineer was sick and I’d have to reschedule. I agreed to Thursday, but later that same day they suddenly told me they couldn’t come because I hadn’t sent “photos of my home” – something no one had ever mentioned before! Only then did they send me a link. I uploaded the photos immediately, but then I kept getting more texts and emails telling me to do it all over again.

They eventually booked me for Friday. I took another day off work, and yet again, nobody showed up. When I called to ask what was happening, nobody seemed to know. They just told me to book another day, which meant wasting even more of my time.

At that point I cancelled and asked for a full refund of my deposit. The person on the phone just said they’d “do the cancellation application” and hung up, without explaining how or when I’d get my money back.

This company completely wasted my time, cost me multiple days off work, and left me without a boiler installation. Zero communication, zero organisation, and zero respect for customers. I strongly recommend avoiding them.

I am trying to update my review.

They never come back to me for new appointment and they never give me a refund!

Please keep away from this company!!

Annual Boiler Service

The Engineer turned up on time for my annual boiler service, he then worked around a last minute change in my plans, no fault of his own with no fuss on his part. He came back later when I was available and did the work. Certificates were then sent through by email, so all very good.

Incompetent management.

I had received an offer of compensation (from Tom Allan - general manager) regarding a complaint I lodged. I accepted and despite waiting 4 weeks still haven’t received payment. I will be contacting the ombudsman tomorrow to escalate the issue.

Untrustworthy company – I wouldn’t give even 1 star

I paid Boiler Central £1,000 on 1st September 2025 for a boiler installation. They cancelled the scheduled date, rescheduled, and then failed to show up. I cancelled my order on 10th September and was promised a refund within 5–7 working days.

No refund arrived. When I chased, I was told it would be paid within another 5 - 7 days, still nothing. Weeks later, I am still waiting for my money back.

I wouldn’t give even 1 star if that were an option. Taking money, cancelling the job, and failing to return it is unacceptable. I’ve now had to escalate through my bank to recover the payment.

Avoid this company.

Avoid this shoddy company

Avoid this company I did online quote and was about to go ahead with BOXT then a salesman called and offered a cheaper deal for same service. The sales team are convincing but the after services are appalling. They changed the install date by 3 days even though promised next day. I had to do a lot of chasing. There’s been a leak since the installation days later no one has attended or got back to me about fixing it. This company is not professional I wouldn’t recommend them.

DO NOT GET AN INSTALLATION

Do not get a boiler installation with this company as there is something wrong.

We booked an installation for Thursday 25th September but got told at 4pm the day before the installer couldnt come so it would be Friday instead. On Friday we were told the installer would turn up between 8-10am, by 11am they told us the installer was being held up at the merchants. At 1pm they said his van had broken down.

We have paid upfront and are still waiting for a refund. I read all of the negative reviews on here but still decided to proceed as we were in a desperate situation.

We tried to call the company over 30 times in a space of 3 days for clarification and the only way we could get through was to the sales team.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I would not recommend this service

I would not recommend this service. The engineer failed to attend the scheduled appointment within the allocated four-hour time slot, and communication throughout the process was very poor. I received repeated assurances but no meaningful action was taken. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. I just waste my time - and end the end I have cancelled my order.

Not worth the hassle

After agreeing an installation date and confirming it with the installer the night before, we waited for them to arrive on the morning only to get a text message to say they weren't coming as there was no boiler. We tried calling boiler central but couldn't get through. All their installers are sub contractors who are dealt with through an app so they have no relationship with boiler central. After eventually getting through to boiler central (they only pick up when you call the new sales line, funnily enough!) they just casually asked if I wanted to book another day. After explaining how utterly inconvenient that is, we set another date. The date then arrived, the team turned up, stripped out the old boiler, then told us they didn't have the new boiler in the van!!!!! What!?!? They told us boiler central said they'd deliver it to our house, we called boiler central again and again to no avail and then the installers left. No hot water or heating, no way of contacting anyone, totally and utterly speechless. When we did get boiler central the next day (on the new sales line after multiple tries) they were spectacularly unhelpful and in no hurry to rectify the situation, just casually saying they'd try their best to get the boiler to us in a couple of days. They eventually came back and installed it after we'd had 2 days with no boiler. Utterly appalling customer service. Go elsewhere if you can.
