My experience from start to finish was exceptional. Huge mentions to Roua at the Borehamwood branch who made the whole process smooth and convenient!

Had my first Bluecrest Health Assessment on Monday(yesterday) (performed by Jodie Evans) and she was informative, patient and thorough. I get veeery anxious for health appointments but still wanted an MOT, and considering I didn’t really 100% know what to expect, I found the process in the room and with Jodie calm, structured and everything was explained (right down to the types of equipment used and why). In fact, I left feeling quite pampered and inquisitive about everything!
For anyone wanting a run down on what to expect, I’ve written my experience (in order) here for any fellow anxious humans! (I got the Active package with an extra blood test add on). Some branches or nurses may do a different order or depending on your package, you may get similar or different tests:
You are called into the room by the Health Assessor/Nurse and there will be different bits of equipment around the room. This is not as scary as it might seem! Your assessor or nurse will introduce themselves, ask you to confirm your basic details and ask you some screening questions with regards to any previous health issues, family history, certain lifestyle habits and opens the floor for any questions you may have. (You may be given the option to choose an add on service if you wish but do not have to accept). You will then be asked to remove your shoes where your height will be taken. After this, you’ll be asked to step onto Biometric scales. Once you are done with these, your blood pressure is taken. You are then able to get up onto the bed and will be asked to lay on your back and to relax as much as you can whilst your ECG is performed. This is done via sticky pads which are stuck onto your arms and legs only. This is about a 30 second snapshot of your hearts rhythm, and your assessor may choose not to speak to you or engage with you during this as the aim is for you to stay as relaxed and calm as possible whilst laying as still as possible. From this, you will swiftly move onto your blood test. If you are somebody who is phobic of needles of has a history of fainting - don’t worry. You are given plenty of time to have a moment if you need to. After your blood test, you will bring yourself back to the chair and a lung function test will be performed. This involves blowing into a tube hard and fast, as best you can. You get 3 attempts of this, and your best reading will be the one used within your results. Your nurse or assessor may ask you to read out to them the percentage that the tube has given you on the little screen. Unless you have purchased further add ons - this is my experience of the full run down of the Active assessment as of 2026.
All-in-all, it took around 20-25 minutes and I received some results the same day, such as my biometric age, blood pressure, biometric scale measurements, BMI. Today, I received some information about my heart, I just await my blood results and other organ functions.
In my opinion, absolutely well worth doing, especially if you’re just wanting to have annual MOTs.
Sorry this is a bit long but I myself always appreciate detailed reviews and especially regarding things I’m naturally weary of. Thank you to Jodie and Bluecrest for their services and experiences they provide. 💙🌱

Sunita's professional, empathetic and reassuring approach throughout the medical assessment. She took the time to listen, made me feel comfortable and explained everything clearly.
The assessment felt seamless, leaving me feeling well cared for and very satisfied with the overall experience.

I had a health check with Dan Porter at Cooden Beach Hotel. He was very thorough and engaging making me feel at ease to speak openly. He was very efficient in terms of undertaking the necessary tests, the results I have already started to receive on the MyWellness site.

Sunita was fantastic! Really kind and caring and lovely to talk to.
I was well informed and advised on tests that would benefit me based on my symptoms too. She went above and beyond in my consultation and it was a pleasure to speak with her. :)

I had my initial test on 31st March 2026 but did not get my results until the end of June after a second assessment on 8th June 2026.
A series of blunders and cancellations by their staff caused this delay and I sent a detailed letter of complaint to Dominique Kent the CEO and two months later haven't even had the courtesy of a reply.
I have been a customer for many years and usually been very satisfied but this time it was a shambles

Suhail explained everything very thoroughly and was an excellent phlebotomist!

its a real shame that blue crest customer service is so bad....I'm really thinking of going completely with BUPA.....the person that did the tests was good, but blue creast are part of easyfunding which i use to help fund my 8 years old girl guides with all voluntary workers. Bluecrest are signed up to it but refuse to pay even though its a tiny amount and i paid my bill immediately and alsi the subscription it makes me copncerned about what sort of company they really are.

Heidi was approachable, friendly and put me at ease (not great with blood tests). Explained everything well and set expectations for results.

Great experience with Joji in Bristol, friendly & professional with a lot in insight into the tests themselves and what they would show me about my health. I have since received my report which is very in-depth & informative. Will definitely use Bluecrest again in the future.

This is now my third health assessment with Bluecrest, and unfortunately I feel the service and overall experience simply do not match the price being charged.
This time I paid £308 in total, which included £75 for a GP consultation. I was very disappointed to discover that the consultation is only 15 minutes. For £75, that already feels extremely poor value for what is essentially a very short conversation about results I have paid hundreds of pounds to obtain.
The process of actually arranging the consultation makes it even worse. I had to wait for my results to become available before I could proceed, and rather than being presented with available appointment times and simply choosing one that suits me, I was allocated a time. If that time isn't convenient, I then have to call another telephone number to rearrange it. In 2026, for a private healthcare service at this price point, I genuinely don't understand why customers cannot simply select an available GP appointment online.
The physical environment was disappointing as well. My assessment was at a Zone 1 London location, yet the room I was seen in was in poor condition and parts of it looked like they were falling apart. When you're paying hundreds of pounds for a private health assessment, you expect a clean, professional and appropriately maintained clinical environment. The location may sound premium on paper, but the room certainly did not feel premium.
What frustrates me most is that I've used Bluecrest three times. I'm not a first-time customer judging the company from a single experience. I've repeatedly chosen them and paid for their service, yet I don't feel that repeat customers are treated particularly well or that the overall experience reflects the amount of money being spent.
The actual health report contains a lot of useful information, and this review isn't a criticism of every individual member of staff. My issue is with the overall service surrounding the assessment: the pricing, the very short paid GP consultation, the unnecessarily awkward booking system and the standard of the venue.
At £308, I expected the experience to feel like professional private healthcare. Instead, too much of it feels cheaply organised despite the premium price.
After three assessments, I'm now seriously questioning whether I would use Bluecrest again.

The location in east Edinburgh was easy to find and parking was simple. Kirsty was an excellent host, very friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable and clear with instructions.

Jodie Evans was welcoming, warm, and professional. She clearly explained what was involved and put me at ease straight away. The Blue crest Wellness Health Assessment gives you a comprehensive and easy to understand set of results and pointers for improvement.
